I don't mind living at The Granby. I would prefer to live at home but I can't. The team are good to me. I'm looked after and have my own privacy and a good big room what looks out onto The Stray. Good space and garden everyone always busy and always something to do but I choose not too but always looks
good effort.

After a long spell in hospital I realised that it would be impossible to live alone and on discharge moved into The Granby in June 2025. I was immediately impressed by the cheerful atmosphere. The staff were all smiling and made me feel welcome. My room was spacious and bright with a pleasant outlook.
The first impressions have not changed. I never feel lonely. The staff are attentive even though very busy, the night staff in particular. All in all I am happy here.

I am always greeted with a smile at the front desk. I visit upto 5 times a week and always the same.
Staff are very approachable and nursing staff are very kind.
I feel my dad is being cared for very well and with dignity.

The Granby has been excellent in every way whilst looking after my father. All the staff are so welcoming from the reception staff to the cleaners to the kitchen staff, I mean all.
It is a very relaxing, calm atmosphere. My father is cared for in the best individual way for him. They help him socialise
whilst having his lunch in the lovely dining room but also respect that he likes to return to his room shortly after. He is washed and has a change of clothes daily and his room is kept very clean.
Where I put below satisfactory for value for money, that is not complaining about the home, I have nothing to compare it with , I just know my father is paying thousands a month and is running out of money which makes me sad.

My Mum has been at Granby Rose now for nearly 6yrs and she was made to feel welcome from day one. The team have always been very kind and helpful in all her needs and are experienced in dementia nursing care.
We get regular updates on Mum's well being. My sister and I live away so we need that contact
with the home. We have regular video calls with Mum which is lovely. When we visit the management team and carers are always welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much for looking after Mum, we really do appreciate all your care and attention.

From the moment of my first phone enquiry to the time my mum was assessed in my own home, to taking mum to Granby Rose, Letisha and Kim were fantastic. Professional, kind, informative and supported me through the whole process. They knew mum loved tea and cakes and put on a tea party to welcome her.
What I was dreading, turned into such a positive experience. Mum is well cared for, the staff are all cheerful, polite and helpful; nothing is too much trouble. The Head Housekeeper, the Laundry Lady, Mel the activities lady and all the care staff are so caring. Mum has settled well and is happy, well looked after and communication regarding any queries is great. Well done Granby Rose and whatever the staff are being paid, it's not enough!

My wife has been at Granby Rose for two years now. The staff have always been caring, helpful and efficient. Their patience is wonderful in what must must be a very demanding job. I cannot thank them enough.

The team at Granby Rose are all incredibly professional, kind and experienced in dementia nursing needs. Everyone has provided our family with the utmost of care and respect through an incredibly challenging time in our lives, and our Dad is now content and well cared for. We had a very difficult period
in Respite care and know from experience how other environments also operate. By comparison, the team at Granby Rose are highly skilled specialists and the culture of the home is reassuring, positive and proactive. Thank you for all that you do for us, I don't know what we would have done without you.

The team at The Granby continue to provide excellent care for my father. They offer care and support but also seem to know him as a person rather than simply a resident. Even though he's unable to take part in activities, there's always something going on making a lovely atmosphere and somewhere I'm

Everyone at The Granby is so lovely. They make living in care menu feel homely. We love entertainment singers and common visits regular which is really nice.

I am enjoying staying at The Granby its nice, clean. The staff are cairng and go out their way to look after me. I have enjoyed the exercise party valantines meals with my partner it was so special set up all the activities team for couples. I am happy no bad words to say about the home.

Overall my father is very well cared for and clean. The staff do there utmost for residents but is understaffed and rooms and decor looking tired.

My experience of the home was first class, the staff was always polite and helpful the home was always clean and the staff always seemed to interact with the residents. My friend always said that the food was very good. Only one dowfall as I could see was that after 8PM it was difficult to exit the
building as there was no one on reception.

I have been living at The Granby a while now and I couldn't fault it. Every single person who works here is so caring and they do look after us all. The daily activities and food is very good and I feel there is a good range of choices. I often go out on trips or daily outings to the town and more with
the activities team.

At first I didn't want to be in a care home. I tried everything to go home but after time I settled in and made loads of new friends which are amazing and are who have helped me to be able to go home safely today.
I am going to miss everyone, the time has been great and all the activities and trips
out to my favourite places, pubs and bowling was a highlight.

Harrogate is a beautiful place. The Granby is surrounded by beauty all year round. Sitting out in the front garden during summer with the activities team and friends, having ice cream. My room is lovely. Everyone is caring and always happy and brighten my day. I have made new friends who I now see every
day, and we enjoy dominoes and relaxing in the lounges.
