Recently had to find a suitable care home for my Aunt who was suffering from delirium. Tina and the team were so accommodating and helpful. The facilities are amazing. I would visit daily and can't fault the care my Aunt received. My Aunt has now recovered and has been able to return to independent
living and I can't thank Tina and her Team enough for everything they did to aid my Aunts recovery. If full time care was ever required again in the future this would be my first choice without a doubt. Amazing Team and Amazing care home.
Reply from Tina Bartin, Manager at Belle Vue Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It means so much to our team to know you and your aunt had a positive experience during what must have been a difficult time for you and especially difficult for your aunt. We are pleased to know that you felt supported and welcomed throughout your visits, and that your aunt received the care and attention she needed. Being part of your aunts recovery and supporting her return to independent living is heartwarming, and were honoured to have played a part in her being able to live in the community. Your appreciation will be shared with our team. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation. We wish you and your aunt all the very best for the future.

I cannot speak highly enough about this care home. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with kindness, warmth, and genuine compassion. The staff go above and beyond every single day to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for.
The level of professionalism
is outstanding, but what makes this place exceptional is the heart behind everything they do. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and individuality. It brings such peace of mind knowing our loved one is in such capable and caring hands.
The home itself is always clean, bright, and beautifully maintained, creating a calm and uplifting atmosphere. There is a real sense of community, with engaging activities and thoughtful touches that make it feel like home rather than just a facility.
Thank you to the entire team for your dedication, patience, and unwavering support. You make a world of difference to families like ours.

My mother had a stroke 7 months ago. She has had care needs but has consistently said she wants to go home. I have written and video evidence of this. The care home have worked together with the state to ensure that not only is the bond with my mother severed, but that my mother will be illegally kept
within the confines of the care home for the rest of her life despite her desperately wanting to go home.
They claimed I was stealing the food, they insinuated all kinds of terrible things about me. They would make me wait hours just to see her. They never contacted me when I should be the main point of contact/next of kin, they would contact my sister instead who doesn't even understand my mother. They have worked with the state to ensure that my mother never leaves that building despite her saying she wants to go home every time I see her. It's kidnap - no other word for it. I will now have to repeatedly take actions and raise awareness in order to ever see my mother again/get her home
Reply from Janina John, Regional Manager at Devonshire House and Devonshire Lodge Care HomeThank you for your recent correspondence regarding your mother's care and current residence within our home. I would first like to acknowledge the feeling expressed in your message. We understand that decisions surrounding a loved one's care, particularly following a stroke or other significant health event, can be extremely emotional and distressing for families. You have raised several serious concerns and these matters are taken very seriously. Given the seriousness of the concerns raised - particularly the allegation of unlawful restriction - I believe it would be most constructive to arrange a formal meeting. We are committed to acting in your mother's best interests and ensuring that her rights, dignity, and safety are always upheld. Please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time for a meeting, which can include senior management and a representative from the local authority or clinical team. We hope to resolve these matters constructively and transparently.

Have had experience with many care homes in Torbay but Belle Vue is the most outstanding. My friend is well cared for and the management and staff are very professional. The Home is of a very high standard in cleanliness and this is consistent. I myself am always made to feel welcome every time I
visit and this is very much appreciated.

Generally satisfactory
Do not like the policy of switching on the T.V. at all times
Could promote discussion amongst residents especially when doing a quiz
Reply from Tina Bartin, Manager at Belle Vue Care HomeThank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We really appreciate your suggestion and agree that activities like quizzes are a great way to encourage conversation and connection with our residents. We'll certainly take this on board.

Dad is happy, settled and safe at Belle Vue. He enjoys singing and dancing and he is often the life and soul of such activities. I am now struggling to take Dad out of the care home because of his needs. However when the weather gets better Dad will thrive on getting out more as mentioned by one of
the carers who Dad gets on very well with, as he is from up north too!
Reply from Tina Bartin, Manager at Belle Vue Care HomeThank you for your kind words. We are pleased your dad feels safe and settled at Belle Vue and that he enjoys such a positive connection with our care team.

We were very happy that David was so well cared for while at Elburton Heights. I was in disbelief that he never asked to come home and was always so content. I have no complaints. He was always so fussy, but you went above and beyond to do everything. The staff are always cheerful and cared with patience
and love.
The home always smells clean and fresh, they show kindness to both David, me and all the family, thank you.
Reply from Abi Baker, Manager at Elburton Heights Care HomeThank you for trusting us with David's care and for your lovely feedback to the whole team. It has been a privilege to support David and your family.
