I find this care home a friendly and caring place for my wife to be. She receives good care and is happy here. The staff are all friendly and efficient at what they do. The food is of a good quality standard.

Staff always friendly and helpful. Keeping us very well informed of any problems or issues with mum. ( Dorothy ). Mum's been a resident for 6 years and has always been happy and well loved and looked after.

The staff at Belle Vue are always smiling, you can see the genuine care and kindness they all have. It was my Dads birthday and they made him feel special. They made him a cake, got him a present and each and every day each staff member is kind, understanding and supportive.

Mum has been in Devonshire house for 3 months now, She is very happy here, and loves all the staff. The personal care is excellent and Mum's room is always spotlessly clean. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit.

I worked here years ago and the standard is as good in thise day. When the room became it was a perfick chouse. My helped years was on a monontere.

My mum Thelma has been at Devonshire for 2 years and in that time there has been some changes but all for the good. My mum is very happy and this gives me the confidence in Devonshire. The carers, nurses, entertainment team, kitchen staff, maintenance have my utmost respect for the work they do. I know Devonshire has challenges ahead with staffing ect but I'm sure with their dedication all will be good

I appreciate weekends generally seem to be understaffed.

Staff are really friendly and supportive to residents and their families. The atmosphere is consistently warm and cheery. Activities are stimulating and varied. The food is well presented, colourful and all special needs are catered for well. It is like a big family that I get welcomed into each time I visit and I know my husband receives good professional care and is treated with dignity.

Home is always clean and fresh and my husband is treated with respect and dignity although he has Alzheimer's he is happy there . The staff are very compassionate friendly and caring, and regular entertainment for all the residents

The staff are polite and attentive to Keith's ongoing needs. The nursing staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make sure Keith's insulin levels are a stable as possibly can be. All staff are polite during our visits. Keep up the good work. Well done to everyone.

My mum lived at Elburton Heights for 12 months after she suffered a stroke and was no longer able to live at home. Abi met me on short notice and was able to take mum in as soon as she left hospital . From day one, the staff were fantastic. They took an interest in mum and my family and formed a genuine bond which was reassuring for me and important for mum as she settled into her new environment. We were able to make her room truly hers and the convenience and familiarity of the home's location in Elburton village was practical but a key part in making the move as normal as possible. The team made a fuss of everyone at Christmas and made mum's birthday special - they really went the extra mile. The care mum received during her last few days and the sense of loss everyone felt showed how mum was very much part of the Elburton Heights family. Thank you to all the staff - you were brilliant.

Mum lived at Devonshire House & Lodge from November 2023 until her death in August 2026. Even as her health declined, well into her 90s, I saw that she was still a much valued member of the community. When she could no longer join in with events and was in end of life care and I was sitting with her, I noted how often her carers came to her room to hold her hand, stroke her head, offer me coffee and support, and just let us know they were there. Even when I couldn't be with her, I never felt she was alone. Between her carers and the nursing staff, my mum had the best. As a family, we couldn't have chosen a better home for her, and we are all supremely grateful to everybody who looked after her with such compassion. Thank you all.

My husband was a resident from April 2026. Unfortunately he died recently. He had multiple health issues. The staff were always kind and helpful despite being short-staffed sometimes. Despite being in a wheelchair, my husband was able to attend some activities and was regularly taken to church by a carer. The home was always clean and tidy. I recently received a kind email after my husband's death, from a staff member. The family were allowed to stay at the home for some time on the day of his death.

I would never hesitate in recommending Elburton Heights Care Home to anyone I knew.

Clients left in rooms, food is disgusting. tables are not set, no placemats, serviettes or condiments. No choice of meals. Not enough staff. People wait ages for someone to arrive after call bell is ringing

Dad has been a resident at the Devonshire care home for around a year now. The care and support given to him is first class. Dads room is always well maintained and tidy and dad is always clean and well looked after.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to ensure that he is safe and happy. He particularly enjoys the meals there and always says how tasty they are.

There are lots of activities for the residents and they are all encouraged to take part but not forced.

Whilst all the staff are lovely, from the maintenance guys who painted his room and put his TV up on the wall to all the carers, special mention must go to both Clare and Ash who go above and beyond to ensure dad's is happy and well looked after. They are a credit to the Devonshire.

We feel very lucky to have found this superb home and would fully recommend it. Thank you to Managenent, Nurses and caring staff for your continued efforts. It is very much appreciated.

It is always a lovely visit now as mum is back to her witty fun and cheeky person that she was before this terrible dementia took its hold of her . Staff always seem happy and always welcoming to us as a family on our visits . Usually offering a cup of tea and biscuits that we can have with mum on our arrival . Even though they are all so busy all of the time .

My mum loves music and they were playing sounds of the 60s in the dining room. I have overheard staff talking to mum when I arrive and it's always been with kindness and care. They completely understand her needs and have taken time to know what she likes in terms of activities and meals. I am so pleased she's somewhere so lovely.
