My mother stayed here for 2 weeks respite while family were on holiday.
Mam was well cared for and enjoyed her time there especially the food.
Mam was underweight when she arrived but put almost 3 pounds on during her stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to use this home in future.

Staff went above and beyond to make my friends end of life most comfortable and peaceful. All though he was only at The Laurels for two weeks he was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Staff very approachable, take time to listern to any concerns, making the transition into care, which is quite
daunting, an easier experience. Thank you to all for your care and dedication to all residents.

My sister-in-law became a resident of Maple Lodge almost 7 years ago. She has been treated with respect and received care to the highest standard. She passed away recently, and the staff have been fantastic with their support. This is a small care home and is run with great professionalism and care.

My mum is so happy and she appears to have a good relationship with her carers. I am very happy with her care and how she has settled into her new home so quickly.
I do like how my mums care takes in to consideration the feeling of my mum.

The Laurels Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother went to The Laurels Care Home in the Spring of 2025 she had mild dementia and mobility problems (need a walker frame or wheelchair). She settled in well and really liked the people around her, her room and the care she received. Unfortunately my mother's health deteriorated around November
- December of 2025 and she sadly passed away on the 31st January 2026. She died at The Laurels as was our wishes. She was treated with dignity and received excellent attention and care right up to the end.
Reply from Jack Pollard, Administrative Sales & Marketing Support at The Laurels Care HomeThank you Stephen for your kind comments about our Care team. We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback for The Laurels Care Home. We understand how upsetting it must have been, and are so pleased you felt that our team lived up to expectation and treated your Mother with dignity and the compassion they deserved during their time at our home. We hope that their time at The Laurels did see some friendships flourish with both the Care team and residents. Thank you again & if there is anything more we can do please do not hesitate to reach out. Take care.

I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had with George last Sunday. The staff had mentioned several times that it was possible to have lunch with him, but we hadn't taken them up on it-until now. We spoke to the staff about arranging Sunday lunch with George, and they set up the small lounge just
for us. Our dinners were brought to us, the TV was on, and we enjoyed a beautiful, homely Sunday lunch together.
The dessert, a trifle, was absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was such a lovely experience that we've already arranged to do it again. Thank you so much!

The home excelled in every aspect, both for residents and for their family members. It provided a wonderful, professional, efficient experience, the staff were so competent but at the same time very friendly and compassionate. Vera (Mother) spent the final three years of her life in a friendly, warm
environment that catered for her every need and without doubt prolonged her life, and I can only thank everyone connected to Maple Lodge.

I would like to thank all the staff at Maple Maple Lodge home for the outstanding, amazing care that was given to my nana Rose throughout her time living here; the care didn't go unnoticed by myself and my family. This was a big choice to make for the family on putting her into a care home, but from
the day meeting the staff and going for a look around we just knew this home was the one for my nana, the staff always made time for her and always asked if she wanted to join in on activities that was happening within the home thanks so much for been so supportive 5*

My mam moved there middle March 2025, she came straight from hospital as was unsafe to go back home recently diagnosed with vascular Parkinsonism. All staff and management were excellent and made mam feel welcome and at home straight away. Immediately staff were sorting her care plan and finding out
about what her likes and dislikes were. All staff came across so caring and actually interested in my mam. I hadn't seen my mam smile in so long prior to being in maple lodge and within days of being there she hasn't stopped smiling and lives all the activities that go on.

Most of the staff are friendly but I get the impression that they are sometimes understaffed. Sometimes my mother can be in the same clothes for days, and one have reported this because, as well as the dirty clothes, she also smelled awful. This seems to have improved slightly. One of my biggest concerns
is the lack of activities, this is zero at the minute and know a lot of other residents' families that are saying the same thing.
Reply from Jack Pollard, Administrative Sales & Marketing Support at The Laurels Care HomeThank you for your feedback. All of the team are committed to providing the best possible care experience for all of our residents and we are disappointed to hear that you feel this has not happened in your case. Our home manager is aware of your concerns and would like to reassure you that our staffing levels are assessed with a recognised staffing tool to ensure we have the right number of team to support our current residents living in our home. As resident care requirements change, we are then also able to adjust the number of team members accordingly. If you would like to discuss any of this further, please reach out to us directly at the home. Thank you again.

Mum is settled in the home she has lived in the home since 2018 and I have never had an issue with her care, she has been well cared for and although she is now virtually bed bound/ chair bound the staff are doing every thing in their power to prevent the inevitable pressure sores they regularly turn
her and have her on the air mattress with regular checks I am happy with the care she is given.
