I cannot recommend this care home enough. The care and attention ALL the staff show is amazing. Everybody involved is so thoughtful with regards to the care they provide for my mum and the emotional support they provide to us as a family. It has been such a traumatic experience for us all placing my
mum into a care home but Cromwell Court staff have been so good. Especially the Manager Tracey.
Reply from Tracey Eaton, Registered Manager at Cromwell Court Care HomeThankyou so much for your 5 star review, its nice to know how much you appreciate the staff and always nice for them to read these lovely reviews. It is lovely to see your Mum has settled into Cromwell

My mother has been a resident of Cromwell Court for the past five years, in that time she has been reasonably content, and interacts with other residents and staff, but especially with the manager. Her husband (my stepfather) has also been in Cromwell receiving palliative care until passing in May 2025,
and was treated with care and dignity. My concerns regarding mums medication of late have been dealt with promptly by the manager, I would like to see more outings for the residents.

My Sister In Law has been at Cromwell Court now for a few months. She has settled in really well thanks to all the dedicated staff who provide great care within a really friendly environment.
She likes to get involved with the activities, from a game of Bingo to crafting and chair exercises just to
mention a few and not forgetting watching Elvis perform!!
As a family we feel relieved that she is safe and all her needs are being met, by the staff who all work to the highest standards.

I am grateful of everyone in Cromwell Court for having a welcoming and comfortable home. KUDOS to the staff for their efforts. Given that our aunt has always been naturally introverted, as family, we truly appreciate the way the staff have supported and encouraged/helped her come out of her room to
gradually socialize with others. She seemed settled.

My Sister has been resident in Cromwell Court since October 2025. She suffers with Parkinson's Dementia and her condition has worsened during this time. All the staff are friendly, courteous and professional, but above all understand her issues, doing their best to keep her safe and occupied as much
as possible. There are lots of activities and events to help maintain interest and normality which are very much appreciated by residents and relatives alike.

My father has been in Cromwell Court Care Home for a year now and is looked after well. The staff are very caring. It was his birthday recently and we visited and were made very welcome. The staff made Dad a cake and made sure he enjoyed his birthday with his family. The home is a little dated but
the main thing is that Dad is cared for well and valued as a resident with staff that care for him.

My father was a resident at Cromwell court care home Warrington for over a year. I understand caring for a person with the terrible illness Dementia is challenging, I do not believe i am an unreasonable person however that is how i was made to feel.
I believe one of the main failing for the management
if the lack of empathy towards the family's, when placing a loved one into a homes care you have to trust they will give the person everything they can to help to make there live slightly more bearable.
My father had several falls in a short space of time, when i approached Tracy the home manager to ask what we could do to reduce the risk of my father having further falls, i was told "I don't have the staff"
On three separate occasions i found my father dirty and smelly, i not talking about a wet accident, i am suggesting days in the same clothes. I called Tracy where i was told "My father is resistant to his care" in my opinion keeping my father, clean, warm and fed should be basics.
Reply from Tracey Eaton, Registered Manager at Cromwell Court Care HomeWere very sorry to read your comments and disappointed to hear your experience did not meet expectations. The care and wellbeing of our residents is always our top priority.

Caring for someone living with dementia can be very complex, and at times individuals may resist personal care or changes of clothing. Our team work patiently and respectfully to support each resident in a way that maintains their comfort and dignity.

Were sorry if you felt our communication lacked empathy. We value family involvement and always aim to work closely with relatives. Your feedback will be used to reflect on how we can continue improving our support for both residents and their families.

My mum has been here for two weeks she has come I leaps n bounds with the help of the nursing staff , carers , activities , and other staff. If I had to choose this as her permanent place I would be happy to do so , although I wish she could come home . My mum enjoyed her country n western night out
(daytime activity) the bar is fantastic, the garden is big , the manager Tracey says use it as your own home. The rooms are big
And cleaned daily when you enter the building you don't get nasty smells like some homes , they have 3 courses for lunch n dinner , the whole team are just brilliant, thank from us all x

My brother in law has been at Cromwell Court for the last 2 years and my husband and I cannot praise every single member of staff enough. He sadly had a fall that caused him to go to hospital during the night a member of staff went with him and stayed there for the rest of their shift. He ended up having
surgery which was successful but through other issues he sadly passed away 2 days later. We cannot fault the care he received from them. Yes he didn't go to bed at night but that was him for the last 4 years but they tried to coax him but stubborn he was. He enjoyed a laugh and joke but was a gentle giant who didn't like other residents shouting at staff. Nor can we say that staff didn't involve us in his care. Having worked in the care sector myself in the past I cannot fault a single thing. Thank you every single member of staff from maintenance , kitchen, domestic&laundry, reception, hairdresser, care and nursing teams & managers

deserve to be commended for their work ethic in a difficult environment dealing with very vulnerable clients.

My Mum has been a resident for 15 months. she has vascular dementia. She is very happy living there, for the first 10 months she thrived joining in the many activities provided by the staff. It was so wonderful to see her becoming the mother she had always been. She loved every single member of staff
who were looking after her. It was so wonderful to watch the care, concen, compassion and even love she was shown to her. I was so happy to know she was so well looked after as it is very difficult to leave your loved ones at a very vulnerable time.
The home itself is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis and all the residents are well presented, they have in-house laundry service. Residents who are able can go out on trips to visits shops or places of interest. Actives happen on a daily basis when resided are encouraged to participate.
I can thoroughly recommend Cromwell Court and the amazing staff, who make it home from home for all residents

My mother-in-law, who has severe dementia was admitted to Cromwell Court in January 2025 after suffering from many falls, spells in hospital, frequent police visits and at time aggressive behaviour and community care arrangements had failed to help.
Since being admitted as a resident, she has had remarkable
positive transformation where she has put on weight from a dangerously low weight, is sleeping better, had her medication reduced and has made new friends. We are delighted with her improvement and she is MUCH more happy.
The staff at Cromwell Court are absolutely superb - they are invariably kind, thoughtful, alert to residents' needs and above all calm and compassionate. They see these poor people as real human beings and obviously care deeply for them
A special shout out goes to the two ladies in the activities team for their tireless work and great activities and trips out.
The home itself is in good condition and the rooms are basic but nice and regularly cleaned.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.734)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.734) out of 10 for Cromwell Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.734 for Cromwell Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (309 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (10 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 368 Ratings = 4.734
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cromwell Court Care Home is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 registered maximum number of service users is 13.4, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
