View Full Details of Beechfield LodgeThe staff are always welcoming and work tirelessly. They treat Mum with dignity and with a personal touch and a friendly manner. Nothing seems too much trouble and on the very odd occasion when I have a concern or a question regarding care, it is promply acted upon. The home also contact me and keep me informed should they have concerns or updates on her care. I find on my visits the home is always clean and odourless (other than pleasant smells).
All as good as always Staff very good as always.
Very happy with excellent care provided to Mum. All staff, from receptionist onwards are warm, friendly & caring.
My mum has been in Beechfield Lodge for just over 2 years. She has always been treated with dignity and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I am very happy with the care Mum recieves and I know she is in a safe and caring home.
I come to visit my sister regularly, the staff here are always nice and helpful. I feel very relaxed when I come and always see a friendly face especially the member of staff who is on the reception.
We have had several meetings with the manager along with the Safeguarding team at local council. You state matters were fully investigated but your lack of transparency is apparent. Beechfield lodge has been reported to the CQC following the safeguarding meeting. Statement were referred to but were not the same as the statements provided by your legal and governance team. You didn't investigate mum being locked in her room because at the meeting you confirmed that you were unaware your staff were locking mum in. You state matters were fully investigated In relation to your failure to provide adequate personal care I have an email from management confirming you and your team had failed ( following your investigation) admitting you had failed mum.in fact without our own investigation and subsequent meeting residents (including mum) would have missed vital medication. We can corroborate all our dealings with Beechfield.
Mum was a resident at Beechfield for approx 3 years. We have recently had to remove her due to ongoing issues with her care, culminating in her breaking her hip and being made to stand on it, because a staff member gave an incorrect account of how she had ended up on the floor. We still don't know how she fell. She was not a falls risk. She needed surgery and now needs support to walk after 3 months in hospital. Previously, after a year there her dentist felt her teeth hadn't been brushed since being a resident. Due to this we formally requested her care records. Through these we learned she had missed many doses of her daily medication. One month half the doses were missed. Records indicated she sometimes went weeks without a shower. They did start to share care records with us, so we felt better but recently, my sister discovered on an evening visit (6pm) that mum was locked in her room all night, every night to avoid another resident entering her room! Avoid
On visiting my friend I have found everything to be really good. A pleasant environment dining room especially nice rooms more like an apartment. Overall everything lovely.
My friend loves her time in Beechfield Lodge. She loves her flat which is kept lovely and clean, and the staff are wonderful with her, very patient.
Our mum has resided @ Beechfield Lodge for 2.5 years now. She is very happy and settled. She recently had a 5 week stay in hospital and was so happy to get back there. It is a lovely, spotless, well staff Care Home!
I visit my friend every week, and I always find the home and the staff clean, no smells, and the staff always polite and friendly, I have also joined in the sing along's they have, and keep fit all in all, I know my friend whome I went to school with, is very content in her surroundings
We are really pleased with the care given to my mother. She is nearly 104 and has been at Beechfield for 5 years. The staff are, without exception, caring, positive and kind to her. We have never had any doubts about her care. Communication is excellent and we are always informed of any changes or incidents. We feel she is safe and treated with great respect. We have also seen how other residents are treated and we are sometimes amazed at how patient and lovely the staff are. Thank you Beechfield.
Very caring + staff always ask if you need anything more plus always clean and tidy.
Lovely caring staff. Clean + tidy environment. Lots of activities, management very understanding of family needs.
My dad has recently come out of hospital and returned back to the home and this meant he had to move to a ground floor flat. The team at Beechfield were extremely accommodating with this and moved everything and made the flat look welcoming and homely, even putting his family pictures on the wall and his personal ornaments where he could see them. My dad has returned with a deterioration in his mobility having to be hoisted and very much reliant on the team of lovely support workers for his care needs. Now this has been challenging as my Dad is a very proud man, set in his ways and not the easiest of patients especially accepting his new circumstances. With this said the team have maintained a constant communication with myself, outer agencies, processing referrals and most importantly looking after Dad treating him with dignity, respect, kindness, reassurance and a smile.
Overall experience of Beechfield Lodge is very good. Mum's needs are met with care and affection by the staff and carers. She is treated with dignity and patience when she can be challenging especially when a reluctance in getting up.
So far we are happy with the level of care my father has received and feel that he has settled in quite well. We are pleased that the home offers a fair range of activities and entertainments. Hopefully the carers are able to continue my father's exercises to help his movement, and also walking with his frame when possible.
Myself and my sisters are very happy with Beechfield Lodge and all the staff. My dad is very confused and all the staff are kind, polite and caring with him, He says he is not happy with the food, but he looks well fed. He enjoys going out on external activities and taking part in the home based activities.
My mum moved into Beechfield Lodge in March 2022. Sadly passed away January 2025. This review covers the time mum stayed in Beechfield. Thank you to all the staff that looked after my mum (who had dementia) and made her feel at home and enjoyed the activities and friendship with all the staff. Special thanks to the manager and carers, two in particular, who were brilliant with mum upto her passing.
I like the female staff and my room is lovely. I'm not overkeen on the food, but like the tea and biscuit and activities.
