My father in law is having a wonderful time with the staff in the unit and also the activities that are on offer. He always has something to do if he feels up to it.
The staff are so caring and thoughtful and nothing is too much. They are constantly fund raising so that they can provide shows and
activities for all the residents.

There is no perfect care home. My Mum transferred last minute to Nazareth House from hospital on end of life care after a fall at the long-term care home she loved. She didn't want to be there she wanted to go to her old care home. But it wasn't long before the friendliness of the staff, the care
and the activities changed her mind. The staff were always respectful and caring to my Mum and to me; explaining matters along the way. Friendships were formed with the staff closest to her, like family. From the lovely people on reception to the lovely nurses, carers, cleaners, cook, they are a good team doing their very best to make residents comfortable. 18mths on sadly my Mum passed away in her bed and I could only be virtually present but her care family were at her bedside. Nazareth House is a big place but once you're there it feels small and friendly; as in life, it's what you make it. I've since visited. God bless them all xx

This is an odd little story. My Auntie had a fall and sought respite care at Nazareth House. As it transpired, she was in a strange mental state so, ultimately, we were only there a couple of hours and she chose to leave. I must state quite clearly that this was on her part, and nothing to do
with Nazareth House itself.
What I can say is that I met some amazingly good and caring people during this time who did their absolute utmost to make sure my Auntie was cared for in a brief time. Specifically Rose and Emma, who blew me away with their understanding and sympathy.
So that's that - I'm sorry my Auntie didn't stick it out (due to her own issues) but 5* and beyond to this place for the empathy they showed.
THANKS!

More than happy with the care Mum has received after a minor fall in her room. Staff are very caring and it is evident that Mum is well cared for and staff genuinely care for her.
Staff were also very vigilant and pro-active when Mum had a health issue. They were attentive and very mindful that
myself and my Sister were very concerned. The Nurse who attended to Mum contacted us everyday with updates this helped alleviate stress.
There is a very caring atmosphere in the home.

Things were a little bumpy for the first few weeks but the Deputy Manager got involved and was so good at helping mum to settle and making sure that the food was right for her. In mums final week, the staff were amazing and looked after our whole family while we sat with her every night and day. Her
last days were peaceful and beautiful. Thank you.

The care and compassion shown, not only to my dad but to me also, has been outstanding.
I feel very grateful that my dad is being looked after by people who care.
From walking into reception, I was made to feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble, staff are always willing to help and answer any
questions or concerns may have.
Thank you.

I have been coming to Nazareth House for many years and the last 10 years as Bingo Caller for residents. I love this time here. Fun, laughter, focus and socially enlightening.
I have never been disappointed in the activities here. I come to many and it's so enjoyable and the residents and staff are
caring, fun and giving.

Very friendly staff. The activities coordinator had such wide variety of tasks for the residents. Really got them engaged mentally and physically with daily tasks.
Also had modern equipment with touch screens for residents too. A very enlightening experience. Good engagement with the local
community taking on charity participants.

My mum transferred to Nazareth House from another care home a few weeks ago and the contrast between these is unbelievable. It has a welcoming, warm and friendly environment and all of the staff members are extremely caring for the residents. Her room is very well presented with en-suite facilities.
The food served is excellent and varied, causing my mum's appetite to return. There are plenty of activities for the residents and the surroundings, inside and out, are fantastic. Although she's only been there for a few weeks, there's been a significant improvement in her overall well-being.
I can thoroughly recommend Nazareth House for anybody looking for first-class care for a loved one. Thank you so much and continue the excellent work.

When l visit Nazareth House with my husband l am always impressed with the reception we get and the overall hospitality of the home. The staff are excellent and it is clear to see how dedicated they are towards the residents and their families. The home is spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

My regular visits to my mum never leave me in doubt about the care my mum and the residents receive from the management and staff. Everything about the facility is excellent and l am always impressed. Thank you.

Very well-managed, friendly staff who care greatly for the residents. Since the new management have taken over the atmosphere is happy and welcoming. My mother has found it very hard at times but all the staff have supported Mum throughout her stay and especially caring for her and my father during
his illness and whilst he was on end of life. The dignity and compassion during the hardest times were very much appreciated. The management has worked hard to create a home where Mum feels like the staff and residents are like family.

My mum is cared for really well. Since Covid, we have got to know the carers better, which helps with my mum's care. They know her likes and dislikes. Her health is checked regularly as well.
25 August 2022
Since the arrival of the interim manager, the entire home is a far better home for residents and staff where the staff are appreciated and valued. If and when staff do extra ie: work half a day on their day off it is noted and given their time back.
21 June 2022
The carers themselves were kind and thoughtful, but far too few. My friend was left, often, as the staff had no time. She is blind and unable to walk, therefore totally dependent for toileting etc. Meals were poor - her diet was often egg and chips as she had food allergies not catered for. Her
clothes, though marked with her name, often went missing. Reception is never staffed at weekends. The manager and deputy are not there or reachable at weekends. Often agency staff with no knowledge of residents' needs or medications needed. Infrequent showers/baths due to lack of staff. All management responsibility - causing low staff morale.

If I had known about this home nine years ago I would have had my family here. Thank you.
17 July 2019
Now on 3rd management change in 21 months. No correspondence regarding changes which I would have expected as a service user relative paying for the full cost of care on behalf of the resident. High staff turnover apparent, linked to changes in the environment with agency staff. This appears to have
settled recently with a few more familiar faces, albeit that this must be unsettling for residents.
Care staff team and ward manager thankfully provide some continuity for my father, albeit that nursing residents appear to have less access to activities beyond mass due to care needs so a lot of time spent in bed which is not good for the emotional well-being of patients who have 1, if any other visitors weekly.
Communication needs improving.

We are immensely grateful for your kindness/every kindness shown to our mum. We have struggled with aspects of care and hope you understand - we would have loved our mum to receive a daily soak in the bath. We would have loved her to be taken out on sunny days. We are not asked how we feel. We worry
that she will run out of money and you will move her out. Mum has paid 100% for 5-6 years and her money is going fast! All her house money has gone. She lived a frugal, simple life. She volunteered here for 20 years. My sisters worry terribly about this.
