Myself and my family and friends of my father having nothing but praise for the staff and management of Amber Lodge in Westcliff. The staff and management were so caring, kind and friendly to both my father and everyone that visited him. They were all very hard working and considerate to all my
father's needs and everyone was very informative and kept us up to date with everything that was happening. Dad's room was large and spacious and bright and airy. Amber Lodge was very clean and tidy. We haven't got a negative thing to say. I would highly recommend Amber Lodge.

I honestly could not have wished for a better nursing home for my mum to be cared for. Sister May and her staff are incredible in what they do for the residents and make the family feel totally at ease. I would highly recommend Amber Lodge

Staff at Amber Lodge demonstrated outstanding professionalism, patience and cheerfulness when looking after my nan during the last weeks of her life. The atmosphere at Amber Lodge was always so calming and welcoming when we visited and nan always spoke very highly of the staff and how they were
constantly checking on her, chatted if she felt in the mood and how she generally felt very comfortable with them . She also loved her airy room and always commented how spotless it was.
Care Staff took time to understand nan and what was important to her, the routine she preferred and her likes and dislikes; it was funny to hear Elle saying, "You're the boss Marie!" As a family, we felt so confident that she was in the best hands as her health was declining and she needed more and more support.
They do an incredible job, and we were so very lucky to have found a place for nan at Amber Lodge and would recommend to other families without hesitation.

Cannot thank the staff at amber Lodge enough for taking the time to help my mum with the settling in process and her continuing care until her last days. Every aspect of her care was monitored impeccably. Couldn't have asked for a better place for her to see out her final months.

September 7th is my mum's birthday and it has always been one of her favourite days, it's her special day. Mum has vascular dementia and bed bound . I have a great relationship with all the staff they are so kind and friendly.
My family and I walked into mum's room and it was decorated for her
birthday not just a couple of balloons there were streamers banners the lot and a lovely cake where all the staff came and sang to her. That day since a long time was the best I'd seen mum she was aware it was her birthday and all the staff went above and beyond to make her day special. This was the easiest review I've ever had to write. I thank you all for making my mum feel so special not only for her birthday but always. She really does love you all x

We had a great experience with Amber Lodge Care Home recently for my Nan's end of life care.
Our family would like to thank the whole team at Amber Lodge for the care and support they gave our mum and Nan, especially in her final days. She was always treated with kindness, dignity, and respect,
and it meant so much to us to know she was in such good hands.
The staff showed great compassion not only towards her but also towards us as a family during a very difficult time. Their patience, warmth, and dedication brought us comfort and reassurance, and we are truly grateful for all they did.
We would highly recommend Amber Lodge for the outstanding care they provide.

Mum spent her "end of life" care at Amber Lodge in Westcliff she retained full mental capacity until the end. She loved the staff who were compassionate, attentive and certainly dedicated to the residents in their care. Each one she praised and said how she was treated with dignity in her later
time there. The home was spotless and had a lovely ambiance about it warm and homely. The care was outstanding and towards the end her medical needs were always taken care of responsively. I can't praise Amber Lodge enough I loved the staff and was happy to leave mum in their wonderful care. You are all hero's and I only hope you are all around when I need you. Thank you so so much

Amber Lodge gave my Mum the compassionate end-of-life care every family hopes for, but few truly find. From the moment she arrived, the team welcomed her not just as a patient, but as a person-treating her with warmth, dignity, and unwavering kindness.
The carers and nurses were exceptional. They
offered more than medical support; they gave gentle reassurance, comforting presence, and personal attention that made all the difference in Mum's final days. She was surrounded by people who genuinely cared, who listened, and who treated her with deep respect.
The home itself radiates peace. Clean, calm, and thoughtfully arranged, it created an atmosphere where Mum could rest and we could spend precious time by her side. They supported our whole family-checking in on us, offering kind words, and always making us feel welcome.
Amber Lodge helped Mum pass with grace and provided comfort during the hardest chapter of our lives. For that, I will always be grateful. Thank you Amber Lodge

You hear so many horror stories about nursing homes and treatment of the people being cared for. Amber Lodge is Incredible. The rooms are amazing, it's light and airy you never feel a sense of depression. The staff are out of this world they are bubbly, they are lovely. They take time to get to know
the residence. There is never anything too big or too small for them to do to make, my friend feel comfortable and at home. It's a difficult transition for people coming from their homes that they spent the whole lives to a nursing home but Amber has made that transition a happy one. My friend has everything you could ever wish for here. Thanks to everyone at Amber Lodgeyou rock!!

If you want a good care home look no further than Amber Lodge in Westcliff. It is spotless and the staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is top rate. I cannot fault anything. My husband is very happy there and I am pleased I have discovered this Home.

The overall experience of the care home for my brother is very good. The staff and management team are always very friendly to help.

Dad lived here for his end-of-life care. The care he received was second to none. The manager, the nursing sister, and all of the staff were calm, and kind and offered a very dignified and respectful care service to all the residents. Dad was always kept clean, shaved, and always had freshly
laundered clothes and clean bedding. There were regular health professional visits and we were kept informed of any changes in Dad's health. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Dad was obviously happy at Amber Lodge and told us that it was wonderful there and that everything was done for him. He got to know the staff and trusted them with his care.
At the end of his life, a staff member sat with Dad as he passed while the family was travelling to be there. It was a huge comfort to us that Dad wasn't alone.
Many, many thanks to all involved with making the last weeks of Dad's life as comfortable as possible. You all made a difficult situation easier to cope with.

I feel very lucky that we found Amber Lodge. I never thought my dad would ever settle within a caring environment - he has dementia and prior to Amber Lodge would always try to get 'home'. He never seemed happy or wanted to be around others. Immediately the staff took the time to get to know him,
and his sense of humour - took my advice on what he liked to do and ways to distract him, while teaching me at the same time.
He has formed good bonds with the staff who treat him with respect and engage in banter which he loves.
They are all so caring and patient. The decor is bright and well-decorated and adds to that comfortable environment. As someone who visits 3-4 times a week, I'm always made welcome and it's a joy to walk in and see how settled and happy he is. I'd recommend this home to anyone.

Mum knew she was end of life when she moved into Amber Lodge at the end of May but she retained full mental capacity until the end, which came at the beginning of July. She had nothing but praise for the staff who treated her as though she were one of their own family. Her welfare was paramount and
they frequently checked on her and attended to her needs quickly and effectively, identifying when she needed extra help or new medication, and raising their concerns with the GP. Nothing was too much trouble and they remained friendly and cheerful whenever they were with Mum.
Visiting every day, I quickly grew to know the staff and their routines and although they were busy they took the time to look after us as family and friends. They made us welcome at any time of the day.
The room was kept spotlessly clean and housekeeping duties were exemplary. When Mum was unable to eat easily or didn't care for a meal, they found alternatives for her.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amber Lodge.

My husband was here in January unfortunately he passed away. He was here for 10 days the care he received was 100 percent the staff is so caring and nothing is too much. His time here was exceptional the staff were like family and my family would strongly recommend this care home.

Although my aunt and uncle have not been in the care home very long I would certainly recommend the home. The home has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and easy to relate to for both the residents and families.

My father has been treated with care, compassion and dignity by all the staff at Amber Lodge. He feels comfortable as possible and does not feel alone. This is a great comfort to all the family. Thank you; you are all heroes.

Being a new home, they do not yet have a CQC rating. However, I have found the home to be very pleasant, caring and professional. I would be more than happy for my mum to be a permanent resident and so would she.
Whilst there is currently a low number of residents, I would like to see some
activities being introduced whenever practicable.
