Admitting my mum to Lady of the Vale was a difficult decision, filled with apprehension & sadness. However, from the moment we arrived, any concerns I had were immediately put to rest. After three challenging weeks in hospital, mum had lost her independence, but within days, the dedicated nursing
team & carers had her walking again mostly unaided & enjoying meals thoughtfully tailored to her needs.
The warmth & genuine friendliness of the entire team consistently exceeded our expectations. No matter the hour, I was always welcomed to find mum either in the lounge or her room, often engaged in conversation or receiving attentive support from a member of staff. When mum sadly passed away earlier this month, she was treated with unwavering love and dignity. I am deeply grateful that I was able to be by her side during this time. My heartfelt thanks go to Otilia, Ling, Candice & Hannah and everyone who cared for our wonderful mum.

The Lady of the Vale nursing staff were fabulous with my my aunt who was admitted in September 2025. She was only there for 3 and a half short weeks and unfortunately didn't get the chance to join in with many of the activities as she was just too poorly. All the team at the home were compassionate
and gave my aunty dignity and respect in very difficult circumstances. She was always clean and in fresh clothes when we visited and we visited every single day so we got to know how well she was being looked after. It's always a difficult decision to place someone out of their own home and trust has to be earned. The Lady of the Vale team surpassed my expectations with their genuine care. They let us know when the sad end was coming meaning we could be there with my aunt and she didn't go alone and we'll always be grateful for this. Thank you Godfrey, Bindi, Nelly, Carla, Patience and everyone else who looked after my aunt.

An extremely caring care home. Staff were wonderful. Kind, compassionate and engaging with both my father and members of his family. All were helpful. Communication from staff members regarding my fathers care needs were very good indeed. Although my father did not participate in activities due to
ill health, I noticed some fantastic activities that were available for residents displayed on a large notice board (families were welcomed too). My stepmother, myself and extended family were very pleased with the placement.

We cannot praise Lady of the Vale highly enough. We had checked the reviews and all they say is true. My sister was admitted in March 2025 and though she lived there only 3 weeks, all the staff and managers treated her with dignity, respect and genuine affection. The house and rooms are spotless and
there is not a hint of the odours that can characterise nursing/care homes. The manager and staff embraced my sister and all our family from the very first day and cared beautifully for her + indeed for us. They always had time to respond to our questions and requests and to my sister's increasingly critical needs. When the end sadly came they were on hand for her and for us. The sisters and visiting priest brought great spiritual comfort, as indeed did the staff. We are forever grateful we grateful we found LOTV.

I cannot recommend The Lady of the Vale Nursing Home highly enough. From the moment my grandad arrived the staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, happy and truly cared for. Their dedication and compassion were evident in every aspect of his care, and as a family, we always felt
reassured knowing he was in such good hands.
Special mention must go to two members of staff, who are both exceptional members of staff. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care made all the difference-not only for my grandad but for our whole family. They treated him with the utmost respect and dignity, always going the extra mile to ensure he felt at home. The entire team at The Lady of the Vale is supportive, personable, and incredibly kind, creating an environment where residents and their families feel truly valued and at ease. We will always be grateful for the love and care they showed my grandad. If you need a nursing home that genuinely puts residents well-being first this is the place.

Although my mum was only in Lady of the Vale for 5 weeks, in all that time she was treated with care, respect and dignity. The management and staff were all excellent and we regularly saw the same staff over and over. The additional care from the sisters meant my mum could reconnect with her faith
in her final weeks/days and hours of her long and happy life.

I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and his team, as they really do 'care' , my mum was in another care facility prior and the difference at LOV was unbelievable.
The team never stop, their patience, care and understanding is incredible really , they treat their patients with respect and
offer their families the upmost support.
I am incredibly grateful we found LOV as they truly cared for my mum , a proud and elegant lady , they maintained her dignity as dementia took over, and I cannot thank them enough.

I had a very positive visit to see my mother. She is very happy and content and getting to know the staff. The Lady of the Vale residential home offers many opportunities and facilities to the residents. The staff are most helpful and welcoming and most sympathetic to my mother's needs.
My mother
does need to be encouraged to go to the dayroom each day, if possible, and to socialise with other residents.
A pleasure to come to the clean and well appointed Lady of the Vale residential home.
Many thanks.

The staff are lovely, warm, friendly and very caring. The home is light, bright and spotlessly clean. We looked at many homes for Mum before we chose Lady of The Vale, this was by far the best! There are activities for her to take part in, she can attend Mass and her visitors can too. She has
settled well and is well cared for.

Lady of the Vale Nursing Home provides the very best in care. The carers do care, they are in and out all the time, making sure the residents are looked after. The food is amazing and is offered to family members. The staff look after them like they are their own family. I would recommend Lady of
the Vale to anyone in search of a place to stay for care, comfort and dedicated staff.

After over 9 months of numerous hospitals and care homes we had only seen the worst of adult social care until that is a recent end-of-life discharge to The Lady of the Vale.
The staff are courteous and attentive and caring to both residents and families, the home is well maintained and clean and
the food is lovely.
Sadly for us there’s not much time left to see our relative enjoy the end of her life here.
We would highly recommend The Lady of the Vale to anyone looking for peace of mind their loved ones will be looked after properly.
Well done to the whole team your work is valued and appreciated greatly.

Mum came to Lady of the Vale to be assessed over a three-week period and it was immediately apparent that the management and staff were professional, caring and compassionate. I was so happy and relieved that following the assessment, the manager managed to provide a permanent home and room for Mum.
The carers, manager, nurses, chefs, cleaning and gardening staff are wonderfully pleasant, efficient and caring and manage to go about their busy everyday duties with a smile and sense of humour. Approachable, organised and motivated. I would like to thank and praise every individual at the home for making Mum feel like the Lady of the Vale is her family.
