My sister moved into Honey Lane in September 2025. After viewing four care homes, we instantly had a very good feeling about this one - and it has exceeded our expectations in every way.
The home has a warm, homely atmosphere, with very clean and spacious rooms. The staff are truly wonderful:
caring, welcoming, and attentive. My sister settled in quickly and is extremely happy, which brings so much comfort to her family and friends.
The social side of Honey Lane is fantastic. She has enjoyed numerous day trips on the home's minibus, has her hair and nails done weekly, and loves the regular music events. There are so many daily activities to take part in, and she has embraced them all.
We cannot fault Honey Lane. Knowing my sister is safe, happy, and well cared for.
Thankyou so much to all of the dedicated staff.

My mum has been a resident at Honey Lane since August 2025. The level of care and activities provided is outstanding. She is well-looked after, safe, cared for, with stimulating activities and social engagement and we have peace of mind. There are activities taking place every morning and afternoon
which provide a wide-range of stimulation, including weekly and fortnightly visits from pets and other animals, a toddler group, karaoke singers, dancers and other special visits. During Christmas there were multiple activities every day with visits from local school children and wonderful decorations. Mum has also been taken out for lunches and visits in the minibus. When she has been taken to hospital, the staff have been excellent in providing care support and communication and settling her back when she returns. The staff are wonderful and many have been there many years, it feels like a family.

Honey Lane Care Home is the best, the service and staff are 1st class. Always very friendly and helpful. My cousin is so happy here, she has thrived and done so much in the short she has been there.
My cousin's needs are always met and the staff support her in all her needs, whether it's taking her
out on outings, getting her nails done or popping to the shops or just being there when she is confused and upset, they put all our minds at rest knowing she is safe and being well cared for. Her quality of life is so much better now than it was before moving into Honey Lane

Mum moved into Honey Lane in the summer.
She is well cared for and treated with kindness and respect.
She is encouraged to join in activities but not forced to do anything she doesn't want to.
The staff from the management down the line are hands on and always approachable and friendly.

I cannot praise Honey Lane enough for their care, attention and respect towards mum. All the staff are so lovely and kind, not only to the residents but also their family members. Mum moved in in November 2025 after a prolonged stay in hospital and, when discharged, was no longer able to live at
home.
When looking at various homes, we were invited along to visit them before deciding. The warmth we received immediately was exactly what was needed, and we knew straight away that that was where we wanted mum to be, and she soon settled in. There are a variety of activities and interactions, or residents can just sit quietly or watch TV. The team all work very hard to maintain a good balance for their residents regarding their care, health and enjoyment of life.
Mum has since been back in hospital, but she is now back at home with them and getting the care and assistance she needs. I can also contact them and visit anytime knowing she is being well looked after.

Honey Lane staff really do care about their residents.
They go above & beyond to make sure that the residents enjoy living there.
My mum is very happy & especially enjoys the varied activities & entertainment on offer.
It's so reassuring to know that she is being cared for day & night.

My mother has been a resident at Honey Lane Care Home for over a year now, and I cannot praise the team highly enough. The care and attention she receives are consistently of a very high standard, and I have full confidence in the staff who look after her so kindly and respectfully.
Whenever I
raise a matter, the team act quickly, efficiently, and with genuine concern, ensuring that my mother's needs are always prioritised. What stands out most for me, however, is the support they give not only to her but also to me as a family member. Their guidance, reassurance, and willingness to go beyond the basics of care make a real difference during what can often be a challenging time.
Honey Lane is more than just a care home - it feels like a supportive community where both residents and families are treated with dignity, understanding, and compassion. I am truly grateful to the staff for their dedication and the peace of mind they provide.

My husband has been treated so kindly by the staff who work so hard to care for the residents. We had a lovely little outing together in the mini bus arranged as a little treat. Thank you to all involved in this.
22 September 2025
The care home put on a fantastic carnival for the residents and their families. Some residents were up dancing while others clapped and sang along to the music. It was a lovely sunny day, all the carers were hot, but this did not stop them ensuring everyone had the best time.

My father had been at Honey Lane for 3 years and we cannot praise the care and support that was given not only to him but to the family as well, they went above and beyond. Due to the dementia we had not seen my father for three years previously, even though we had tried he refused to see us. Under
their care he was reunited with us so we were able to see him to the extent that I took him out to the local pub every week for a meal and a rum and he attended family meals. For this we are so grateful. First of all he refused to come out of his room but again they encouraged him to socialise so that he eventually attended outings out and also sat in the day room. Each of the team that cared for him did so with compassion, patience and kindness. My father got taken to hospital and was placed into ICU, he was accompanied by a carer in the ambulance and waited until we got there. She was lovely and so kind and was upset that she couldn't sit with him. We cannot praise enough.

My Mother has been a resident at Honey lane for the past 4 years. Due to Her advancing age and dementia. She could no longer look after Herself. She has been well cared for and treated very well despite Her condition. Sadly She is now at end of life phase. We are comforted in the fact that She
is safe and being treated with respect.

Our mum was admitted to Honey Lane Care home last summer and we were so happy with the care and support she was given. She found it hard to cope with the change at first but the team were very kind and patient with her and she soon settled into the routine. She enjoyed taking part in, or at least
watching, the wide variety of activities put on for the residents. She especially enjoyed the days when the animals came into the home. The staff were always kind and welcoming when the family came to visit mum. I was very impressed that all the carers seemed to know all the residents which made me feel that mum was being looked out for by all the staff. For someone with dementia, it is important that they are able to build up good relationships with the same staff over a period of time and this happened with mum. I would highly recommend Honey Lane. It has a safe and caring environment and the staff are kind and supportive.

My Brothers and I placed our Mother in the Honey Lane Care home a few years back, when She could no longer fend for herself. We chose Honey Lane based on recommendations from others and their top notch dementia care.
Although 93 years old now, Mum is very happy in the homes happy environment. It
is obvious that all the staff are very caring and professional in their duties and care. This gives my brothers and I perfect peace of mind. Our visits are always very welcoming.

Honey Lane is a family and all residents are adopted into its care. The staff seem to have tireless patience and empathy with the residents and everyone always seems so positive no matter what the circumstances. I especially appreciate that Dad gets taken out on some occasions and that he is finding
ways to express himself in the crafts activities offered. Dad has not been at Honey Lane long, but I feel he is flourishing in this environment. He is treated with respect and is clearly happy to be given freedom in his own choices. I hope the staff are truly as happy as they appear to be.

The manager and her team have created a safe, loving and stimulating environment for my dementia-suffering dad. He is treated with dignity even in those difficult times. The staff demonstrate genuine care for the residents and the catering service is as outstanding. I love that the family is able to
keep up to date with activities in the day from pictures on their social media page and there are regular opportunities for us to join the residents in special fun events throughout the year. This is in addition to the regular activities and entertainers that visit. A particular highlight for Dad is the local toddler group where toddlers, parents/carers interact with residents and break down social barriers. The staff go out of their way to create positive memories for us all. I genuinely feel that Dad has been adopted into the Honey Lane family.

I have nothing but admiration for the staff at Honey Lane. They work. Under some extreme conditions, with good humour and dedication. It is a traumatic experience to leave your loved one in a care home. The staff have made it considerably easier for me.

I cannot speak highly enough of the support and services provided by the manager and her team. They have given my mum a real boost in her life. Mum attends the care home twice a week for daycare and occasional respite care. The manager and her team take time to ensure all my mum's needs are met and
that he has the best time possible.

It was with a heavy heart that we came to the decision to move Mum into a care home back in 2022 due to the severity of her dementia condition. She has been a resident here at Honey Lane ever since. I can only thank the manager and all of the team that run Honey Lane for the way they have looked
after Mum these past couple of years. It has been very reassuring for me to know that Mum is safe and well looked after. She is treated with dignity and much love, they are her extended family! Lots of cuddles, kisses and patience from everyone is just what she needs. Whenever I visit she seems content and happy and that is the best I could hope for in the circumstances. The home is very clean, plenty of good food, regular activities and entertainment but the big plus are the caring team!
I would recommend Honey Lane to any prospective person looking at care homes, Honey Lane is able to give Mum the professional care we unfortunately can't.
Thank you, Honey Lane.

Progressing from daycare to respite to becoming a permanent resident at Honey Lane my auntie has been cared for, looked after, and loved to the very best. Since becoming a permanent resident she has improved immensely, she is more active and interacts with all the various activities and and
exercises the staff have going on for them all on a daily basis - She now has some concept of time which she didn't have previously, she has regular varied meals and they are conscious of individual dietary needs and cater accordingly.
She is always spotlessly clean and changed promptly should the need arise and nothing is too much bother for any of the staff - We are able to hold reasonable conversations with her now and she has got her sense of humour back. It's a real pleasure to go and visit which we do regularly now and see she is so settled and happy, Honey Lane always goes the extra mile for their residents and always makes the individual and their relatives feel part of the family there.
