View Full Details of Cherry Tree Nursing HomeCherry Trees have been brilliant with Mum - thank you! From my first phone call, and home visit, everything was dealt with compassionately and professionally. I am always impressed with the calm atmosphere when I visit. This was perfect for Mum when her memory issues cause her frustration and anxiety. She is used to a community, both at home and as a teacher, and, when she was able to partake in activities and she really thrived in the Cherry Tree environment. As her daughter, I know how verbally harsh her disappointment can be (!) and from my visits I can see that all the lovely staff have seen beyond this to the sweet lady underneath and really worked hard to settle and reassure her. She and dad were beyond cute at their reunion at home, although she was soon telling us what the clouds were doing and wanting to 'head home' again. She once played Dorothy in her school musical and I guess only Mum knows where her 'no place like home' truly is.
My mother needs round the clock care now, having fallen and broken her hip, among other health issues. I visit her frequently, and always find the staff friendly and helpful. The staff friendly and helpful. The home is set in beautiful grounds and is clean, well maintained, and welcoming. I am very happy with the care my mum receives day & night. She is treated as an individual with respect, always.
Yesterday I lost my beloved husband of 58 years. He had suffered bladder, kidney and brain cancer,. We both felt so lucky that the NHS found a room in Cherry Tree where my husband could spend his last few weeks. It is such a wonderful home where the kind and caring staff could not do enough to make him comfortable and pain free. They are a close knit team and I take great solace that he felt their love to the end. They showed great love to me and our daughter during our precious last hours with him. Thank you.
Cherry Tree provided a long + peaceful sanctuary for my dad for a short while before he died of cancer. The whole team are professional and also so very warm + kind. My dad was kept pain free, clean + comfortable and very well fed. My heartfelt thanks to the manager, nurses, laundry + kitchen staff who looked after my dad and provided me and my mum with comfort. We are grateful and I know my dad was too.
My brother was admitted to Cherry Tree N.H. for pallative care. He received brilliant care from the 'blue army' of carers, or angels as I like to call them. As relatives we also felt cared for and included. A real place of comfort when it was most needed. Thank you. Cannot comment on food/activities/value as not experienced due to circumstance of resident.
The management and staff at Cherry Tree have been excellent in the care of my mother. They are so friendly and cheerful and she (my mother) is very relaxed and happy in their company.
My dad spent just over two weeks at Cherry Tree, to support with him recovering from a fractured wrist. My sister and I went impressed with the help and support we were all given at this challenging time. My dad especially commended the food and the services of all the day team.
My mother was placed in Cherry Tree. A very turbulent and sad time for the family. We have found a constant support since she has started living there. She is happy and settled really quickly. The staff are always happy, and seem to have good rapport with all the residents. The transition has been so much less stressful than I imagined.
From the very first visit, the staff made me and my aunt welcome, nothing is too much trouble. My aunt is well looked after by the friendly and pleasant staff. She attends and enjoys the various activities and she also appreciates the meals provided by the catering staff. I would recommend the Cherry Tree Nursing Home to anyone who needs residential care.
Everyone from the cleaners to the managers were fantastic - kind, friendly and helpful. Overall as a family, we were so pleased our dad spent the last few months of his life with you all. We thank you for everything you did for him.
A good experience in respite care which I came to enjoy as it taught me to walk again after a fall. Found by chance.
From day one my husband was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Everyone, from the manager, nurses, carers, cleaners, laundry ladies, reception are lovely, kind, loving and caring people. The atmosphere was always warm and friendly. I knew my husband was in the best possible place to end his life on Earth. Beautifully kept rooms, conservatory and gardens. Staff always willing to help if necessary. If you asked for any assistance nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff very helpful and always sought to assist in any way they could. My husband had terminal liver cancer and he was well looked after whilst staying at Cherry Tree Nursing Home. I cannot find fault with his very accommodating nursing home.
Cherry Tree Nursing Home was excellent throughout the 7 years my Father was a resident. The carers were skilled, kind, and friendly and handled the COVID-19 epidemic very well. We were immediately contacted if there was any problem.
What a lovely, welcoming, warm place for my lovely aunt. The care team are just amazing. Thank you.
Our Dad moved into Cherry Tree under palliative care after spending six weeks in hospital. We could tell from the first time we saw it that this was a perfect place for Dad to spend his final days. Dad was only there for a few days, but from the moment he arrived, he was treated with love and dignity. All of the staff, from the manager, through the nurses, carers, caretaker, and other support staff, were cheerful, friendly, helpful, and caring, towards Dad's family as well as to Dad himself. Nothing was too much trouble and they also helped us through the difficult time immediately after Dad passed away. We took comfort in the fact that Dad spent his final days in beautiful surroundings being cared for by such a lovely group of people. Thank you.
The staff is delightful and very caring and willing. The building is a little dated but the conservatories are great. Very pleasant gardens. Well tended. Visitors are welcomed and cared for. Only there for a short period of respite.
Cherry Tree Nursing Home was all we could hope for for our Dad. The staff from manager to caretaker all seemed to work on the same page with the resident's best interests at heart. The care provided for Dad was wonderful and he settled in quickly, making friends with the staff. The setting of the care home was very peaceful and we were welcome to visit whenever was convenient for us.
Cherry Tree is a friendly, happy, and buzzing place to be. Lots of activities for the residents and visitors are always made to feel at home. My Mum spent over a year at Cherry Tree and was cared for by such thoughtful and caring staff. We all knew each other's names and it felt like a second home to me. You all do a great job, keep up the good work!
Our daughter was only at Cherry Tree for a week before she died. From the beginning, the staff were very attentive to her needs and demonstrated kindness, sympathy, and efficiency. They were always on hand when needed both day and night and managed her last days skillfully. Additionally, they were very helpful and welcoming to visitors and the whole site was always clean and tidy. The gardens and the houses setting in the countryside were beautiful and calming for those in such tragic circumstances.
