My mother in law was always treated with kindness and dignety even with her bad health she was always clean, check upon needs met. If I ever had any concerns they were always acted upon even though she was only in for 4 days every need was met. I can not think of a bad thing to say. I needed a disabled parking spot the manager was going to create me a place for future visits.
Barty house is a lovely place for my mother-in-law to be, so many wonderful caring people who look after her. We can walk away knowing she is in the best possible place, any problems they will always give us a call, this gives us peace of mind. My mother-in-law was put here after an operation to be assessed, to see if she would be able to manage at home by herself. As yet we are awaiting the outcome of the assessment. Us as a family believe this would be the best place for her as she has a few memory issues. We thought if a nursing home was the outcome we would move her closer to us, but to be honest my mother-in-law has settled in really well, staff are amazing, they have activities most if not every afternoon, this is something my mother-in-law really enjoys, she loves socialising, being around people. If you visit in the afternoon, they will always ask if you would like to join in with your loved one, you can even stay and have lunch with them at a small cost. Thank you Barty House for making my mother-in-law feel at home
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff from asking for pain relief to asking for a resident to have help for moving about the home. Residents are always asked if they need any help for anything especially help with changing clothes etc, The staff are always courteous, polite and well dressed.
My mother who is a resident at Barty House for a couple of years, has always been treated with care, dignity and respect. She has complex needs which have been carefully considered and any concerns I have had, have been listened to and addressed, in particular I like the fact there is always an "open door" mentality by the care home manager if there are any issues that need to be addressed. The Carers are good, and have taken the time to "bond" with my mum. My mum's clothes and laundry are always clean and housekeeping do their best. The kitchen staff also work hard to accommodate different food requirements. My only critique is that some areas where there is carpet, it is a little "tired" and could do with replacing/ new flooring? Most of all, I feel that my mum is in "safe hands" which gives me peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend Barty House to anyone considering this as their new "home"
Just a few weeks now to Mum's 100th birthday. The staff are already making plans for the day and are helping my family and I prepare. She has been at Barty for 5 years now and her care has been excellent throughout.
We have found the staff very helpful and friendly. They have answered any questions competently and taken on board any concerns that we have had relating to the care of my father. We have been notified if there have been any falls and updated to the outcome. It is very comforting to be able to discuss any medical issues with the nurses as they have arisen. The food is lovely. The rooms are kept clean and fresh. My father says " they are very nice people here " a great comfort to us !
My mum has been made comfortable and welcome in her new surroundings from day one. She receives excellent personal care 24 hours a day. As a family we feel reassured to know that she is so well cared for and cannot thank all members of staff enough.
There's always a warm welcome when we visit and communication is very good. Mum is always comfortable, and well looked after and her needs are met appropriately. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and friendly. We are delighted with the outstanding care Mum has received at Barty House for the past 3 years.
My mum moved to Barty House Nursing Home at the start of January and is receiving end-of-life care. We have been amazed at the friendliness, attention to detail and helpfulness of all the staff. There is always someone around to answer any questions we have and my mum is as comfortable and well cared for as she could possibly be during this difficult time.
My mother has received a very high quality of care throughout her stay at Barty House Nursing Home. The staff have been outstanding in responding to her needs. There is a genuine level of compassion. The environment is friendly and sympathetic and she has been well supported throughout. Often the staff have gone well above and beyond the expected level of care. Our family are very grateful for all the efforts provided by the staff at Barty House.
My husband has lived at Barty House Nursing Home for nearly two and a half years. He is very settled and calm and is always treated with love and respect. The support which he and all the family have received has been amazing. We are so grateful to all the staff for their love and attention to detail. It is a difficult decision for any family to take to place a loved one in a home but it was not long before we realised that My husband was happy and stable. The activities team make every day interesting and the office staff are always on hand to help with any worries. The nurses are amazing and the carers really do care! Thank you Barty!
Very pleased with every part of my mother's care at Barty House Nursing Home. She is safe and very comfortable, as she had a lot of falls at home, now we have peace of mind and we know she is well looked after. Many thanks to all the staff at Bethany House Nursing Home.
My father spent the last three and a half weeks of his very long life in Barty House Nursing Home. He was treated compassionately and with respect. Nursing staff were on hand to answer our questions and were quick to make any adjustments necessary to my father's end-of-life care. All staff, including management, admin, nurses and domestic staff, were friendly and generous of their time. The care home is welcoming and clean and my father described staff as 'kind' and his treatment 'excellent'. Thank you.
Mum spent her last month of life at Barty House Nursing Home. It was a very difficult time for us. By the time she arrived at Barty House, she had suffered a head injury in hospital which left her almost completely uncommunicative and in constant and intense pain. The staff were courteous and compassionate. The nursing staff, one in particular, were very patient with us, talking us through how her condition would deteriorate and how they would adapt the care to reflect this. As her needs escalated, the home provided an enhanced level of care, over and above what the local authority had agreed to pay for. Care staff were very respectful of Mum's religious beliefs during her stay, including in the treatment of her body after she passed. The deputy manager made herself available outside working hours and the manager attended Mum's funeral. I can't stress how much we appreciated Barty House's care and attention and how much difference this made to us in the final stages of Mum's life.
My friend, for whom I had lasting power of attorney, passed away in Barty House recently. She was admitted following a severe stroke a year ago. Whilst she experienced a slow and steady decline as a result of her medical condition, the quality of care she received from Barty was excellent. She was treated as a much loved family member and whilst it is true that she did not want to be in a nursing home, it is also true that she was settled and content there. In spite of her lack of ability to move and to communicate, staff showed the utmost patience and respect for her, always treating her with dignity and how, I suspect, they would want to be treated themselves in similar circumstances, A well-led home, nothing was too much trouble, adapting diets, bringing activities to her, accommodating and responding to requests - all delivered promptly and appropriately. I have no hesitation in recommending Barty House. For those more able there is a wealth of activities to benefit from and a great chef too!
Barty House offers a very warm welcome to both residents and relatives. My husband has been resident there for seven months and he now seems settled there in a happy and caring environment. The staff soon make new residents 'part of the family' and relatives too are made to feel very welcome whenever they visit.
The staff at Barty House are amazing. The care they have shown to my parent has been exceptional. My parent was extremely lucky to get a placement here. As a resident they are listened to and their needs are met in a compassionate way.
My Grandma is so happy at Barty House. Considering her age, she is doing pretty well and she loves the atmosphere and services at the home. There is always a nice greeting from staff and everyone seems in good spirits. Lovely place to visit and a fantastic home to stay in. Excellent place.
The staff were absolutely brilliant, the care was wonderful, the room was very good, nice and sunny with a lovely outlook and the food was great too. It would be really hard to find fault with anything there.
