View Full Details of Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing HomeMy dad is a changed man. I used to go home worrying about how he was in previous homes. Since his move to Coxwell Hall I now never worry about him. I know he is never going to get better, but I now know he is very comfortable and happy. I cannot praise Coxwell Hall enough the care they have given him is the best. So thank you.
I am impressed by how attentive all the staff are and how well they connect with the residents. They are extremely patient and make sure that the residents are comfortable at all times.
Following a few initial issues, which were resolved to my satisfaction. I am very happy with the care my husband receives. He is always clean and tidy when I visit, and seems happy enough. The staff are always welcoming and extremely polite, and it feels like we are part of a big family!
Every time we visit the staff are very friendly. Mum is always comfortable. On today's visit her nails were painted and she was very comfortable in her chair.
My two children and I visit weekly with residents at the Coxwell House. The activity coordinators go above and beyond while caring for residents. They have outings, events, and a positive attitude. All staff we have interacted with genuinely care about the residents and go out of their way to make us feel welcome as well.
Whenever I visit I am always welcomed by name and made to feel comfortable. My husband can vary in whether he will be content to sit or only wants to walk up and down but the staff are so patient and polite. He can be very difficult but at no time do I feel worried about his care and am confident that the staff deal with him respectfully.
My father has been at Coxwell Hall for 3 weeks now, and is very, very happy. The staff are very friendly as well as being professional. The meals are so good, I want to eat with my father for all my meals, but don't tell my father. He has been for a day trip already, plus has had a great haircut. His room is clean and tidy at all times. I would recommend this care home to anyone that has a relative with dementia.
My dear husband recently died in Coxwell Hall. His care has always been exemplary. His end of life care was excellent both for him and also for me. His personal care, nursing care and general care could not have been better, staff always showing professional care and judgement to the highest degree yet showing great emotional support to both of us right to the end and beyond. I cannot thank them enough for all they did and continue to do for all their clients.
My father moved to Coxwell in December 2024 and as a family we have found great comfort in knowing he is well cared and looked after. His appearance is always smart, his bed always made and room tidy and the staff are very attentive. We have got to know most of the carers/staff over the last few months and they are always so kind and update us on how my Father is, how he has slept etc. For wonderers like my father, the units are secure and the home has wonderful grounds for the Spring/Summer months. I cannot comment on the activities as my father is unable to participate, but there looks to be lots of variety for those that can take part and the home is beautifully decorated for those special occasions throughout the year, i.e. Mothers day, Valentines day. Thank you to the team for all that you do!
Mum has now been part of the Coxwell family for just over a year; she is loved and cared for. We cannot express how grateful we are that she is here.
My husband has been in Coxwell since December 2024. I cannot thank the staff enough for the brilliant care he is receiving, and he always has clean clothes and shaven when I visit which is often, and they make me lovely coffee.
Sadly this will be my last review of Coxwell Hall because my wife, who lived there for over three years, has now died. To make matters infinitely worse, she was admitted during the COVID pandemic so I was unable to visit her for a long time and had no prior knowledge of this establishment. Throughout this period and beyond, the management have been very open and always responded quickly and fully to all my enquiries. They have made every effort to involve me in all aspects of her care and keep me informed of her situation which is something that I wanted and deeply appreciated. The success or failure of any organisation is of course dependent on the staff. It takes a special kind of individual to be work effectively in a care home and fortunately Coxwell had them in abundance. Whenever I have expressed my admiration for the job they did, it has been clear that they genuinely do not consider themselves to be in any way remarkable. I beg to differ!
My husband continues to receive excellent care and as he.is happy, we are too. This is because all members of staff, whether it be carers, kitchen, garden etc. treat all residents with respect and ensure their happiness throughout the day - a very important Coxwell asset. We thank them all.
So so good. All carers so loving and attentive, nothing nothing too much trouble and relatives made so welcome it is home for home. Groundsmen & maintenance are all approachable.
My partner has been a resident at Coxwell for almost two years now. His care has been excellent. I feel so lucky that my partner is in their care - not all care home's are as good as this one. It may not be a 'new build' but that is not important. At the end of the day its the quality of care that is of the most importance - and Coxwell certainly meets that criteria. I also feel most welcome when I visit my partner - Coxwell say they are a family and I cannot disagree with that.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The ration of staff to residents seems to be very high and my Aunt is extremely happy with the care and help they give to her. She was extremely anxious before becoming a resident about life in general. Since becoming a resident she has given up smoking sleeps much better and is generally more relaxed. I can only conclude that this is a result of the excellent staff and management.
My husband was at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for 4 years before passing away in December 2024. The care he received at Coxwell was second to none and we feel very fortunate that we found Coxwell when we were looking. My husband was always clean and tidy and his room was cosy and welcoming. There are regular activities for residents to get involved and lovely gardens. The food is good and nutritious and adjustments made if needed for diet. Residents are encouraged to keep as active as they can and when mobility declines, the staff still try to encourage a few steps where possible. The staff always have a ready smile and willing to make you a cuppa, and offer support during difficult days. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Coxwell who looked after him with such care and dignity. Your kindness, compassion and attention to detail have meant so much to us and we take comfort from knowing that he was always in such safe hands. Coxwell, I feel, is the nursing home upon which all others should be modelled.
Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home continues to provide excellent care for my daughter which is a great comfort to me and my family. Although my daughter has no recognition of anyone and cannot communicate with her family, she is perfectly happy which is the main thing.
Very welcome. Coffee served to me within 10 mins. My husband was well dressed. His finger nails were dirty. He really enjoyed his fish pie lunch and diabetic cake and custard. The staff always treat him with respect. I highly recommend Coxwell Hall to anyone looking to place a loved one into care.
My mum has been at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for around 3 years now and in the later stage of dementia. I cannot give enough praise to the wonderful caring staff. My mum settled quickly and always has a laugh and smile with the carers. It's been given a makeover but that's immaterial, nothing could replace the warm and homely feel to Coxwell Hall. They are a family and include the relatives in the fold. Excellent!!!
