What a pleasure it is to have my husband here.
All the food is hot and well presented
The care assistants, nursing staff, admin all put the residents and relatives first.
They communicate well and go that extra mile.

The gardener will also interact with residents whilst doing his work.

I could not ask for better care for my husband than that given by Coxwell Care Home. He appears to have settled in well, as shown by his constant smiles for both myself and the carers. He is treated with respect. He enjoys his food, which is very good, and eats well.

My husband has been a resident at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for nearly six months and is well settled and happy there. He has complex nursing and care needs and I was initially concerned that he would be upset and confused by this new environment, but I needn't have worried. He was calm and content from day one. This was mainly due to the nursing and care staff who are all very pleasant and conduct themselves in a calming and easy manner, encouraging and reassuring the residents that everything is well.
I'm very pleased that my husband is always well groomed and tidy as personal care and appearance are important to him.
I've often been at Coxwell at activity times and these are varied and fun, eg during the World Cup, table soccer was very popular.

All the staff are welcoming and friendly towards me too and I feel relaxed and confident that my husband is receiving excellent care in a safe and happy environment.

I visited my brother in law on 24 July and was disappointed to find he was very thirsty. My sister gave him 3 glasses of water when we arrived, at approx 11.30! Lack of fluid has been advised on previous occasions. On 25 July when we arrived a carer bought my brother in law a glass of something. He drank 2 more glasses of water during our visit which we asked for. On the 26/July I noticed a lady client sat in the dining area alone for 2 hours. Not one carer came to see her. During this visit my sister advised a carer that her husband needed changing. Jon waited 15 minutes before someone came and took him. He was back within 5 minutes he had not been changed & was terribly agitated. 15 minutes later another carer took him to be cleaned & changed - a total of 30 minutes from my sister first asking for him to be changed!!

Since my last visit to Coxwell it has deteriorated. Fans not switched on in the heat. Dirty chairs & some areas.

My partner Michael has been a resident at Coxwell Hall for almost 3 years. His care has been exemplary. He suffers with dementia but the staff are so understanding and caring. His every needs are catered for and they are so patient. I certainly couldn't give him the same care at home. I know he is safe where he is and I can visit any time I wish and I am always made very welcome.

When we knew that Dad would need to go into dementia home the only place we wanted him to go was with you. My mother in law was cared by you fantastically well, even if it was 20 odd years ago.
On our first visit for Dad it was clear that there is still the same lovely feeling as soon as you walk in the door.
Most importantly Dad settled so quickly after hating the previous places he had stayed.
Having his "front door" with a proper house number really helped him know where his room was/is. Such a great idea for little cost and effort.
Dad continues to be mainly settled. He does have up and down times but that is to be expected.
He is always clean and tidy and clearly enjoys the food.
We can't praise the staff enough. No matter where you are there are staff near by but not interrupting.
There is also a lot of laughter too.
It is great to see Dad always in one of the lounges rather than sat in his room.

We genuinely cannot fault The Folly. We know Dad is getting wonderful care.

I find the staff friendly and welcoming each visit I make.. Coxwell Home and Mews is always well presented lovely and clean when I visit. The residents are encouraged to take part in various activities which they appear to enjoy. The residents are always spoken to in a friendly and respectful manner when I visit unannounced.
It is nearly a year since my relative became a resident at Coxwell I can honestly say any concerns or worries about them being a resident vanished after a short time seeing the care and respect given to each resident.

Thank you to all staff.

My wife has been at Coxwell Hall over 16 months. She spends a lot of her time walking the corridors on her ward and as a result becomes tired and in danger of falling. The care staff are alert to this danger and will take her to her room to enable her to sleep safely. I can begin to thank staff enough for their care towards my Father. He has been a resident here since 2021 and now at the very end of life. Staff during this difficult time have been so compassionate and supportive. At the time you need the most support, they have shined through again, and we are so grateful, I wanted to put it in writing now, because it's so important to get palliative care right, and Coxwell have been fantastic during what is such challenging time. Thanks you all so much, again.

Four and a half years ago, my brother's deteriorating health and complex care needs made admission to a care home inevitable... although it wasn't a decision that was made
lightly.

Durning this time we have seen changas at 'Coxwell' improvements to the building/decor and the garden. There have been a few staff changes. Through all this the leadership and care ethos has never wavered.

What is important to my life is my parents.. hobbies outside work is i sing and play guitar

I decided I wanted to be a carer because I have always looked after people in my family and decided I wanted to do it as a profession. Doing all the trainings provided by Coxwell has helped me become the carer I am now, I love being with the residents and helping them achieve what they want to achieve. When I am at home I love spending time with my daughter and my partner, I like going to the cinema, going clothes shopping and meeting up with the girls. I enjoy taking my daughter to her swimming and dance classes. Family is important to me.
