View Full Details of ChurchfieldsDad, and previously Mum, as well, are well looked after by the staff who go out of their way to help and support Dad, every day. The warmth and empathy shown not only to Dad but also members of the family, after Mum died has been excellent, for which we are all grateful. I would happily recommend Churchfields, to others.
My husband was admitted to the Home with the prognosis of weeks to live but with the great care provided is still there after more than five months. There is such a great friendly staff who look after him so well and have really become friends. Confined mostly to his room I rely on them to provide all the care I am not able to at home. His medications and dressings are all looked after well, clothing laundered daily and all his needs met. Visitors are also welcomed warmly and looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Home to anyone in need.
My aunt entered the home for respite care and it quickly became clear that this would be a suitable 'forever home' for her. The staff from top to bottom are friendly, caring and compassionate. I would not hesitate in recommending it.
I am very pleased with how Mum has settled into Churchfields, she has advanced Dementia and after helping look after her for a few months before my Father passed I knew how difficult it was to care for her ! But my worries were soon calmed as the staff there are very attentive and caring. The home is always spotless and there is a real comforting feel about the place. We looked at two nursing homes before we had a meeting at Churchfields and knew this was where Mum would be happier. I would recommend Churchfields to anyone with confidence.
I have been here for 6 months and I am happy here. I enjoy all the activities we do at Churchfields. I sometimes struggle with the menu as the food can be a bit bland overall, but I am happy, though. All the staff are great and made me so welcome when I arrived, also kind. I have made lots of friends and enjoy our outings out in the minibus.
after finding it difficult to cope with my husband at home I needed to find somewhere to look after him. I visited many care homes and after speaking with the manager decided on Churchfields.I was impressed with the sense of family in the home and the carers are all very nice. As there are only a small amount of residents everyone gets one to one treatment. the food in the home is amazing and I know my husband enjoys it very much.I can recommend this home to anyone who needs reassurance their loved one will be cared for.
Very unusually ( and unfortunately, I have had quite a lot of experience of visiting care homes )the entire purpose of Churchfields seems to be devoted to the care and comfort of it's residents! They are cared for as individuals, constantly asked to make their own choices, and it's clear that the staff take time and trouble to get to know them individually and learn their preferences. They are always treated with great respect, and also, it appears, with affection. I was really hoping to have been able to look after my wonderful husband as long as he required it, and desperately sad that at a certain point, I could no longer continue. During his first experience in a residential home, I was constantly worried about him, as his very obvious needs were not being met, even when I tried to discuss them. At Churchfields, I can constantly relax at the thought of him, as I really believe they are doing a better job than I could, even if I were entirely fit and healthy. My rating for Cleanliness relates to the floors.
We tried out Churchfields for two weeks respite to see how my partner would feel if she needed to come for longer due to her deteriorating dementia. She has been so well cared for, encouraged and supported that we are both sure Churchfields will be a home from home when the time comes. A pleasant friendly atmosphere, kind and attentive staff - all makes Churchfields distinctively different and outstanding.
We were incredibly pleased with the care given , the carers were patient ,kind and patient and always cheerful. My husband was very poorly when he entered the home but over time he has regained his strength with everyone's help so thankyou . We would not hesitate to use the home again if needed .
Our Mum is a recent resident at Churchfields. We were all quite nervous about the transition from home living into care, and she, and we her family, were supported every step of the way. The professionalism, warmth and excellence of the care she has had received is amazing. In every area of care, staff have gone above and beyond. Our mum is safe, happy and settled in bright and homely surroundings where the best interests of all the residents as individuals, and as part of a community, is plain to see. I cannot recommend Churchfields more highly.
My mum moved to Churchfields in November 2024, sadly for end of life care. One member of staff in particular and their team are brilliant, my mum's final days were filled with love, kindness and compassion. We can't thank the Churchfields team enough for all they did - both for my mum and for us as family and friends, we felt fully supported at a very difficult time. My mum spent respite time in several care homes during this year and, with hand on heart, I can say that the others weren't a patch on Churchfields. I only wish we'd been able to move her there sooner. We couldn't have asked for better care for mum. Thank you for everything.
I cannot praise Churchfields Nursing Home more highly. Every single person from the most senior to the most junior, treated my Mum with compassion, tenderness, and the utmost professionalism. It was a joy to behold at a difficult time. The gardens, sitting rooms, bedrooms, and communion were so cheery and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Amazing service and care.
After a horrendous experience at another nursing home, I honestly believe Churchfields has saved my Dad. From day one he has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The care here is second to none. Dad is very happy at Churchfields. He has told me the staff are lovely to him, which I 100% see myself too. I now have peace of mind that Dad is being taken care of when I can't be there. Thank you to all of the staff for everything!
Our Mum moved to Churchfields in August 2023. From the very first day, we all felt extremely welcome and the surroundings were clean, homely, and beautifully presented. All staff were always warm, friendly and helpful. They work as a team and this gives the home a calm, family feel. The food was always excellent with delicious homemade cakes in the afternoons! The standard of nursing care was always excellent and carers were dedicated and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better care for our lovely Mum and we can recommend wholeheartedly.
A close family member has been looked after at Churchfields for the last four months and every time I have visited I have had a welcome and warm reception from all of the staff. It seems a hive of activity with always something going on for the residents. My mother-in-law always looks happy, relaxed, comfortable, and well cared for and nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of the staff. Everyone’s priority is the residents' well-being and we couldn’t have chosen a safer, more caring environment for my mother-in-law to have moved into.
My mother has been a resident twice at Churchfields, the first time was for two weeks restbite during the Christmas period. After the exceptional care she received during this time, there was no doubt in our minds when we were faced with choosing a palliative care provider that we would choose Churchfields. The staff are like a family to each other and to the residents they care for. The compassion, love, time, patience, understanding, warmth, humility and comfort they all give on a daily basis, 24 hours a day is a credit to them all. My mother has found friendship, a confidant when she wants to talk through her situation, fun, laughter and made to feel part of the family by the staff at Churchfields. We can never thank them all enough for the unwavering and exceptional care constantly given to my mother at the most vulnerable time of her life. It has meant the world to her and us.
The care home looked after Mum so well and treated us all with great dignity as her health went downhill. Their communication was excellent and they made a real effort to include Mum in all activities, despite that being tricky, as they knew she liked to be with people. I think Churchfields really do care for their residents and they have experienced so many different characters over the years that they are good at working out what works for each one. Activities are imaginative and fun and the new manager understands care well and has an open-door policy. Churchfields really does feel like “home” for people and they make friends as there are not too many residents. Nursing staff on site makes this option very relaxing for relatives and they are such a lovely bunch and work so well with the local GP that it makes care easier. Both residents and relatives are listened to and involved in the home.
My mother moved into Churchfields care home from another care home which wasn't working out well for her. Our experience at Churchfields could not be better. All the staff have taken time to get to know and understand my mother, and she is now settled and much happier than she has been for a long time. She and I have been treated with respect and kindness by all who work there. I could not recommend the home more highly.
My nan really enjoyed her later months at Churchfields Care Home before she passed. She really felt at home. She was always busy doing lovely activities. She was treated with dignity right until the end by staff. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
My nan was in another care home, was not looked after and would have died if we did not move her here. The care is excellent, the food is excellent, the staff are excellent and we couldn’t wish for a better care home for our nan. Thank you to all the staff for your care and consideration.
