View Full Details of Bayford House Care HomeStaff are very caring and staff turnover is low so Mum is well known and looked after with her personal preferences being taken into account by all the staff. Clean and comfortable room and communal spaces. Activities are varied, regular and well run. Mum enjoys the hairdresser visits and looks forward to meals which look very nice. Mum is very content.
Mum has been here for over a year now and as a family we could not be more happy. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've never seen mum turn away any of her food, even food I thought she wouldn't like. The activities are great and I love seeing the photos especially when mum has joined in.
My mother is well looked after, and all staff are friendly and helpful. At times I think staff shortages impact on her care, eg long time sitting in a wheelchair. She seems to get put to bed quite early, and one time she was washed and dressed and sitting in her chair by 6.30am.
Cleness very good Staff hard working
I enjoy my visits as the care and management of his medical needs are all taken very good care of. Staff are all friendly and caring, my Dad says there is nothing else he needs! He enjoys his meals and they look appitising. It is so reasuring ot know he is happy and looked after so well
All the carers are very nice. The food is nice. I enjoy the activities they are very good. I like the hairdresser.
We have been delighted with the care and nursing care our family member has received at Bayford House.
Excellent facility, close to home and fulfils every need of my mother-in-law. She is happy, content & well looked after.
In my opinion the care home and staff are excellent. The guests are always happy with plenty of activities to take part in and the food they receive is excellent .I would definitely recommend Bayford House to anyone
My mother has settled into Bayford House incredibly well. The staff are all very friendly and the Activity Team have given her a good time.
I found the staff at Newdale Court to be very helpful & a friendly group of people. I was only staying for 2 weeks, but they made me feel welcome. Overall, a pleasant stay in lovely surroundings. Thank you.
Overall satisfied with the care given. Some issues at times with cleaning of room, occasionally not done to a good standard. Can sometimes be a long wait before answering the patient alarm.
I came to Bayford House from the hospital to stay until my house is sold, and I can move to more suitable accommodation. I have 'Parkinson's' which affects my legs. The food here is very good, lots of variety, but I like to eat much more fresh fruit and salads. Some exercise equipment would be useful, pedals etc., and more yoga sessions which I miss. I do not like my bed, the wood rails hurt my legs when getting in and out, and the mattress is hard.
Satisfactory.
Early days. The care staff and nurses are amazing, nothing but positives to say. The room is quite small, but comfortable. Bathroom is difficult to get around with zimmer. Storage places are out of reach. All in all good.
Following a family argument, I came to Bayford House Care Home to have some respite care following a breakdown. The staff have been exceptional - so friendly and warm and very understanding. Thank you Bayford House.
Since July when my husband moved to Bayford, he has settled so well, enjoys the company- and the food! Everyone is so kind and caring. Although I had reservations about leaving him I am amazed at just how he fits in with all the activities. Never hear of any complaints. I know he is safe and well cared for. A big thank you to all the staff - every one of them is always cheerful and ready for a chat with him - they make all the residents feel special.
If you are wanting peace of mind that your loved one will receive personal care tailored to their needs and wishes then cross Newdale Court off your list of choices. Claims that personalised care and support is available 24 hours a day are very misleading. The care provided is very basic and often rushed. My relative regularly had to wait for very lengthy periods of time to receive help including to be taken to the toilet and was told by staff not to ask for help between 11pm and 4am. Many staff do not display their 'skill and experience', failing to take action on various health issues even when prompted to do so by family. Accessible information was not provided, special dietary requirements ignored, eating aids and assistance with cutting up food were repeatedly forgotten. Very few staff show that they take pride in their work and senior management were disinterested and in denial about failings of care in the home.
Over the last year the level of care received has significantly declined. Residents are treated as tasks and not individuals by the carers, there is no person centred approach to care. Care is very basic and provided when convenient, rather than when needed. Carers are not proactive and fail to notice or act when signs of infection are clearly present, despite residents and family raising issues, with residents requiring hospital admission as a result. More staff are clearly needed. Carers also need more training and support from management. Management are in denial of the issues, uninterested, defensive and lack compassion when concerns/complaints are raised.
Very nice place for Mum, very helpful staff, clean and tidy, nice food, management helpful and very approachable.
