View Full Details of Hyde Lea Dementia Residential HomeMy grandad has been in the care home for over 3 months now and I go to see him 2/3 times a week. He is always well looked after and with clean clothes on. Three good meals a day plus snacks which keeps him happy as he loves his food :). The staff are always very friendly and very caring towards my grandad even on his bad days. I feel very happy and comfortable with my grandad being left in the home with the great staff. 5 star reviews.
My mother has been in the home for 12 months . The Care team are kind attentive and provide a very good standard of hygiene ,medical and psychological support to my mum and all the residents . The team go above and beyond to create an atmosphere of friendship and support with every resident . Time is taken with each resident to understand their needs and who they are as a person often difficult when the resident has mental challenges but the team spend time getting to know each resident ,a stand out quality that can be seen on every visit to Hyde Lea We are very happy to recommend the home .
My mum has been resident here for six months. The care provided is excellent. Staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. There is an activity programme and residents are encouraged to utilise their existing skills. The food is great and home cooked. I would recommended it highly.
They are taking great care of my Gran, and she has settled in really well there. Staff are lovely and caring. She was a troublemaker at the start but they persisted with her and got her into a routine which she has adapted really well to.
My mum has lived in Hyde Lea for the past two years. Prior to this she found living in her own home very difficult due to the effects of Alzheimer's and she no longer recognised her own home as a safe place to live. My Auntie had been beautifully cared for by the team at Hyde Lea a few years earlier and I wanted my mum to live there too so she could receive the same kindness and high level of care my Auntie did. The care from the team is exemplary and Mum is very much part of the Hyde Lea family with them taking time to get to know her and her interests and responding to her every need with kindness and consideration. In addition, the team have also shown great care towards myself and my family with them understanding how hard it can be having a much loved mum and grandma suffering the effects of dementia. Hyde Lea will always have a very special place in my heart for everything they did for my Auntie and continue to do for my lovely mum. I can't thank them enough.
Our overall experience of this care home has not been a good one. Had to raise some concerns with safeguarding of which they investigated and substantiated. My dad was not treated with respect or dignity and no compassion was shown to his family, all the staff and the owners were insensitive to the situation. After caring for him for 4 years and he'd deteriorated considerably they decided they no longer wanted to care for him and we was given 30 days to find him a new home. He wasn't fit to move and sadly he passed away 5 weeks after. I would wholeheartedly not recommend this care home as nobody deserves to go through what my dad and we have.
My husband was in Hyde Lea for 11 months, the care he received was second to none. The manager and her staff couldn't have done more, not just for my husband but all the family. The home was always clean and tidy,
Simply can’t put into words how amazing this care home is. The staff really put their all into making sure your loved ones are cared for, also making you feel very welcome when visiting too. Nothing was too much trouble they keep you informed about everything, and really go the extra mile. The home itself is nice and clean. I’d highly recommend this care home, their love, kindness & compassion is outstanding.
