Nestled in a truly beautiful & peaceful location, it offers a perfect environment for my mothers wellbeing. From arrival we noticed a genuine sense of care & compassion from all the staff. They treat the residents with kindness & respect! The home is very clean & full of character. Lovely gardens to relax in. Well organised activities encouraging social interaction. Craghall understands my mothers individual needs and routines! Very clear that the team really care about everyone! Bringing us peace of mind every day!

My father has been a resident for several months. He is enjoying the whole experience. His health has improved, and the care he receives is superb. The whole family are delighted wtih his current situation...it was difficult to make the decision to put Dad in a home, but, it was the best thing we have ever done for Dad.

My mam has been a resident for 8 months. I was surprised at how quickly she settled in. This is due to each and every one of the staff who provide care for her. She is happy, content and has made friends easily. Cannot thank the staff enough as I now have peace of mind that she is in the right place. Highly recommend this care home in every aspect.

I have been very pleased wtih the care my mother receives at Craghall. Although she has some significant health issues recently, including 2 long spells in hospital, I can see improvements in her confidence and mobility within a few days of her beingin Craghall. There's a lovely range of activities to entertain and motivate the residents. All of the staff that I've met have been friendly and professional and genuinely seem to care. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so my mother can enjoy the gardens.

Overall the home is very good, always clean and the activities are brilliant and varied. The majority of the staff are kind, helpful and compassionate. Mum is very happy staying at Craghall, we have no worries or concerns.

I selected Craghall as the care home for my mother after visiting 4 homes in a single day in December 2024. On that day I had a strong sense that this would be the best environment for my mother, and I am pleased to report that this has turned out to be correct. I cannot fault the kindness of the staff both to my mother and me when I visit. After looking after my mother in my own home for the past 14 months, I now have peace of mind that she is receiving the professional care she deserves.

Father-in-law has been in Craghall for about 3 months. He has settled well and is happy. Staff are fantastic. He is always clean, well dressed. The home is very clean in all areas, rooms, communal areas. Staff are professional in their tasks but are approachable and happy to spend time talking to family. I now do not worry about my father-in-law's safety and well-being.

Mum has been a resident since September and not for one second have I had any doubts about her placement! Where do I begin! Any establishment/institution is only as good as it's staff and my goodness they are excellent, caring, thoughtful, hard working and very proactive. My mum has never looked as well dressed, clean and physically healthy! Carers style her hair, and choose her clothes with care and thought. Activities are varied and include crafts, keep fit and singing. The lead up to Christmas included visits from local schools, beavers and nursery plus adult singers. Every residents door was decorated with a unique homemade decoration (beautiful!). Families are also supported as staff offer support and advice. I could go on!

Our family undoubtedly made the right decision choosing Craghall for our 98-year-old Mother, from day one she has been welcomed and cared for by the most amazing team who never cease to amaze us with their compassion. The location is beautiful and the lovely period home is a home from home. The level of cleanliness is first class as is the food and care, literally, nothing is too much trouble they do go that extra mile for residents and families.

My 98-year-old mother has moved into Craghall after breaking her hip. She has a beautiful en suite room at the back of the building overlooking trees and green space. As a family, we were very nervous about this move but we have been blown away by the fantastic levels of care and dedication of the staff team at Craghall. Mum loves her new home and enjoys all of the food and the person-centred approach to her care. There is a comprehensive programme of activities and we are free to come and go on our visits. Nothing is a problem for the staff and we are always given the warmest of welcomes and encouraged to chat about all aspects of Mum's care. As a family we would have no hesitation in recommending Craghall - it's a beautiful home with a fabulous team, delivering first-rate care.

I find everything fine here. My friend is well looked after. Being a lady who was very thin when she arrived here. She's actually put weight on. All of the girls are very friendly and helpful. A great thing is they actually know and remember your name. Very unusual in this day and age.

My mam has been a resident since December 2024. After being very nervous about mam going into care I knew instantly this was the perfect one for her. The support we’ve received from all the management and staff has been outstanding. I knew after my first visit she would be well cared for by all the amazing staff who work very hard. They have regular activities and outings which the residents love. I know my mam is safe now after many months of worrying. I highly recommend Craghall to anyone who wants the best care for their loved ones. Thanks to all the staff, you all do a fantastic job.

Our mother had almost 4 years at Craghall. She was very happy and regarded it as her home. Could not fault the staff as they treated her as if she was one of their own family.

My mum has been a resident of Craghall for five years. The care and support she has received from all the staff has been exemplary. She is very happy and enjoys taking part in the many varied activities when she is able. As a visitor, I am always made to feel welcome and find the atmosphere friendly, relaxed and homely.

My great auntie has settled well thanks to the care of the staff. Despite initially being nervous and spending a lot of time in her room, their gentle coaxing and encouragement now has her front row for most of the enriching activities that take place. From sing-a-longs, to trips, to movie days and crafts there is always something going on to keep my great auntie busy. It’s a huge weight off the family’s mind to know that she is well cared for and all her needs are met.

Almost one year ago I had to choose a suitable care home for my mother who suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease. After many visits to others, I arrived at Craghill and was immediately struck by how caring and professional the staff I spoke to were. I no longer worry about the care my mother receives here compared to her previous location. She is looking a picture of health now. In fact, we joke she has a better social life than us due to regular trips to and activities.

My mother was a resident of Craghall Care Home for just over two years. She sadly died on 29/11/2023. The care and love she received, and indeed our family, was exemplary. The care team are a dedicated, cohesive and hard-working group of people. The support we all received made us feel part of the Craghall family, and we are very grateful.
