View Full Details of Orchard House Nursing HomeOur mum has been a resident in Orchard House for around 18 months now, and I can honestly say that she has been very well cared for and the staff have been fantastic. Mum is encouraged to take part in activities such as colouring, gentle exercise and skittles, all done in the comfort of her chair. It was the best decision we made to reside her there.
Since the new management a great improvement. No smells. More staff available. Manageress on duty on Sunday.
Can not fault this home at all. My mother came into the home after a fall at home. She is well looked after at all times, and the family has notced a big difference in her out look of life. She interacts with people and is very happy. They also look after us as visitors, always a cup of tea waiting for you, and update us on mum's progress. Mandy has joined as the activities lady and gets everyone joining in which is nice to see.
My mother came into Orchard House after breaking her hip, she never wanted to go into a care home but enjoys herself now and is happy here. She is well looked after with plenty of good food to eat. My family and I are always welcomed whenever we turn up. Really pleased we chose Orchard House.
I have moved my mum out of this care home. It is the worst home I know. The staff are rude, They treat the residents like prisoners. They laugh at things you are trying to explain and have no care at all.
My visits to my friend are always met with a warm welcome and my friend always appears well cared for and in a caring and safe environment.
My Husband has settled in happily, the carers are so kind, and visitors are made very welcome. Cannot have picked a better home for my husband to move to. He loves to join in with activities, and he enjoys the food obviously as he has put on weight. Thank you everyone.
On 30th October I was visiting my brother and there was a celebrity impersonator entertaining the residents. The residents and staff were really enjoying the entertainment. He was excellent, some of the ladies got up to dance with help from staff. The look on these ladies' faces was pure joy to observe, the way they came alive and sang and danced. The entertainment lady works so hard to help the clients. Also, she had beautifully dressed the dining room for Halloween.
My aunty has been in Orchard House for many years. It is always so clean and smells really nice. The staff are amazing.
We have had wonderful experiences when visiting our relative who has been in this care home for some months. We often take our child and the staff are warm and welcoming to us and let him take part in the activities as well to keep him amused as he is so young. There has been exceptional care in relation to my relative's dietary needs as eating has become more difficult but they ensure she is able to eat proper meals and have the right nutrition. Overall I would recommend this place to others.
Orchard House takes great care of my nan who was admitted earlier this year. The staff treat her wonderfully and are always there to make sure she is well fed, hydrated, clothed, kept company and more. Cannot recommend this place enough.
My mother has been at Orchard House for around six months. This was the first place we looked at and were so impressed that we made the decision then and there. The manager and her team are 100% focused on the residents in every way imaginable, therefore we, the families, need not worry at all. It is always clean and tidy, the residents are fed home-cooked nutritious food and are looked after in every personal way. There are many activities so the residents aren't just sleeping bored in a chair - Mum is very stimulated and happy and is grateful for the company, particularly the staff. We are kept informed about anything relating to Mum's care and we're grateful. I highly recommend this home.
No complaints about either the staff or your cook's meals. Appreciate the long opening times though I hope never to turn up before 11-00hrs or come after seven hours.
My mum was in Orchard House for some years with dementia and she was cared for extremely well. She was very happy and the team of staff looked after her brilliantly. She became very ill and had end-of-life care and the team was marvellous. They were always there for her every need.
My step-mum has been diagnosed with double dementia, but is still very aware of her surroundings, and loves a good politics or current affairs discussion! The staff are lovely and can't do enough for the residents, who all seem happy and kept motivated. My step-mum says the food is good, and the surroundings and garden are light and pleasant. I have no problem with recommending this care home.
My friend came to Orchard House, and I found the whole process very easy from getting assessed to getting her in. The office staff were lovely and helped me so much. The care staff all seemed happy and friendly. She was very happy there. Would recommend to anyone looking for future care.
My aunt has been a resident for nearly a year now. She can be difficult at times to manage due to her developing Dementia and Alzheimer’s. The staff are all really good with her, and they have a great portfolio of activities daily to keep them all occupied and engaged with both staff and other residents. The food always looks nice, and she is always clean, and her clothes are clean. The staff are all friendly and welcoming when I visit, and the senior staff keep me in the loop with her health and any incidents. They are very proactive in both her physical and mental health and well-being. I feel confident of leaving her in their care.
My mother moved into Orchard House in September, a move that she has found very difficult to accept due to her dementia. Throughout this period, the staff at the home have managed to deal with her difficult behaviour with care and compassion. As a result, my mother does now appear to be settling and even showing signs of being happy! The staff at the home are all caring and friendly, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking to make the difficult decision to find a home for their loved one.
Extremely happy with the care given to my mother. All the staff are friendly, supportive and attentive to Mum and us as a family. Cannot fault the care and facilities. A very homely environment with wonderful home-cooked food.
Twelve months ago I had the agonising decision, as my mum's legal Power of Attorney, to find her a new care home as I'd been advised that her present home was closing. After a lot of research online, as I live 240 miles away from Bexhill, I found Orchard House. From the first time I spoke to the manager on the phone, I knew this would be the right place for my mum, who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's. I met the manager and her staff for the first time on the day that Mum moved there and we had the warmest of welcomes, it was a home-from-home experience. I instantly knew this would be the right place for my mum to live and to be cared for. I cannot fault the care my mum receives, no stone is ever left unturned which gives me great comfort as I live so far away. This home has a warm and caring atmosphere which transmits to the residents and their relatives and friends. It is a happy and secure place and my mum's care, whether it's personal care or social care is second to none.
