I have never encountered wonderful kindness and understanding in such difficult circumstances. Everybody at Peasmarsh Place went above and beyond. All deserve recognition and medals!! Just wonderful and peaceful.
Beautiful place. Lovely big airy rooms. Lovely caring staff. Bringing tea for guests as well as residents. Set in lovely grounds. I would be very lucky to be here myself!!
My sister choose Peasmarsh Place for some respite care, mainly due to it's outstanding location. The location and gardens are truly lovely, but the care provided by the staff is out of this world. The establishment on the ground is headed up by the manager, who with her team go the extra length for all the residents to make it as much as a home from home experience. The internal appearance is tired, in my view it could do with a fresh coat of paint & carpets, but this is a old property and as such is probably listed... Residents activities are very good, but there are currently none at the weekend, which is a real shame, during my visits they appeared to be well supported by the residents. There is No mini bus or transport available to take the residents out, which I find strange as all other establishments I looked into offered this as a facility, there view was it was always very well received when any trips were available. Maybe the above could be looked into ?
It is difficult to judge a home as all reidence needs are different some need more help than others, mums care was excellent as you can see by the options below, as she was not much into activities, she chose her own amusement, food and drink is might have been nice to have the choice of two main dishes rather than just the one- only other option was jacket potato or omlet but plenty to drink. Value for money if you was to add up the cost of having 24 hour care at home and the nursing expenses etc. then the care home fee has to be a better option.
This is a very special place. Very well managed by an excellent manageress. The staff/carers are extremely kind and really caring people, nothing is too much trouble to them. I have really enjoyed being here and would definitely come back if I needed to.
My Mother is now a resident at Peasmarsh Place. She is very pleased with the care and attention she receives, from all members of staff. She has settled in very quickly, and is enjoying the food. The grounds are immaculate and nothing is to much trouble for the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Peasmarsh Place.
Wonderful caring staff in beautiful surroundings have looked after my mum so well since she moved in. The care home have catered for my mums dietary requirements and encouraged her to join in with activities. They have also supported her care and mobility. Thanks to all the team.
My mum had a respite stay for just over a week in Peasmarsh Place in February 25. She very much enjoyed her stay. The food was delicious, the staff attentive & she particularly loved the views from her bedroom of the surrounding countryside.
My mother stayed for a short period of respite care. The room and facilities were excellent, and the beautiful surroundings had a major beneficial effect on her recovery. She greately enjoyed her time there. I found the staff to be attentive, professional and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Peasmarsh Place
The personal attention ,associated activities , peaceful environment ,cleanliness and food /interval drinks etc contribute to an enjoyable and promotional investment. There is no doubt when weather permits added benefits will accrue from the outdoors . We will willingly request future stays to assist in the ongoing care.
Lovely rural setting, excellent friendly and helpful staff, efficient manager.
My mother moved into Peasmarsh Place in January. The staff were very welcoming, respectful and kind and my mother has settled in extremely well. I was impressed by the highly detailed care planning and records taken to support and provide continuity of care for the service users. I hope that the management and staff team are aware of how appreciated they are. The house and grounds are lovely but it's the genuine care that makes Peasmarsh Place a great place to live.
My sister had an emergency need for a stay in a secure and watchful environment, and my urgent enquiry as to whether Peasmarsh Place might be able to provide this was met with a very positive and reassuring response. My sister was quickly seen, and her acceptability was quickly confirmed, with Peasmarsh Place taking control of overseeing her removal from the hospital. She was very happy with her stay and appreciated the activities, which I understand she was encouraged to undertake. Her stay lasted approximately ten days.
My parents were made to feel welcome for the three weeks respite that they had at Peasmarsh Place. They were well cared for, nothing was too much trouble. They joined in activities and didn’t want for anything. The staff were all very nice. Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms, relaxing lounge rooms, beautiful grounds and the food was delicious.
My partner went into Peasmarsh Place for a week's respite and then became a full resident some weeks later. The care is very good and personalised. He is made to feel safe, comfortable and listened to. His needs are met consistently and with sensitivity.
My sister-in-law is very happy overall with the care home. She finds the staff pleasant and mostly helpful. She is treated with dignity and respect, and her wishes are taken into account. Her accommodation is very comfy and clean, and she enjoys the activities and stimuli provided by the activities coordinator. For us as a family, it is nice to know that she is in a safe and secure environment, although she has mentioned she would like a bit more one-to-one interaction, but this is difficult as all the staff are so busy. We are pleased that she is close by and we can visit whenever we like, which is one of the things we looked for when helping her to choose the home.
Lovely people, lovely place and lovely food. My mother would never actually have been happy in a care home, but she does seem comfortable and content, and very well looked after. Everyone seems to treat her as an individual - it really doesn't have the feel of an 'institution' and they constantly go the extra mile to take care of her. Thank you so much.
After many weeks in a hospital environment, my wife's disposition improved noticeably within a few days. I feel certain this was due to the personal friendly treatment she received from the staff. Myself and other family members visiting have been warmly welcomed whenever we visit. There is a positive atmosphere in the home and the staff go about their various tasks with a good attitude and commitment. The Home is always clean and tidy. It would be difficult to find another with this service level.
My mother is very happy with the level of care and the attention she receives. Enough involvement to look after her needs without being too intrusive. Peasmarsh Place Care Home is also very good at informing me should any problems arise and they keep me updated as to Mum's condition. Keep up the good work.
My mother initially went to Peasmarsh Place for respite care whilst I was on holiday but decided to stay permanently. She has been there since May 2022 and has now come to think of Peasmarsh Place as her home. She is very happy and settled there. She has very poor eyesight and needs assistance with many everyday things. The staff are lovely and are always on hand to help her. The food is good and Mum always enjoys it. Mum has a lovely room and her own bathroom. She enjoys going outside when the weather is nice and sits on the benches on the terrace whenever she can. The grounds are well kept and there are benches around the gardens to sit on. There is even a mobility scooter that the residents can use in the garden but Mum has not been on this due to her poor eyesight. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Mum is being very well cared for at Peasmarsh Place and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for quality residential care.
