As Aunt's family we are very happy with how she is looked after. The staff and manager are so attentive and caring to my Aunt. We are assured that she is well cared for. We are very pleased with this choice of nursing home.
From the very first day we knew this was the home that we wanted mum to stay. It was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and looked and smelt so clean. Nothing is too much trouble for anybody. The food is good and the residents have plenty of activities to keep them occupied. There is nothing that I can fault, mum is so well looked after and we are so happy to leave her in their care.
Excellent care, mum is very happy at Woodlands. The staff are caring and look after mum well. We always feel welcome when we visit and the staff are very flexible and work with us. Food is great and mum gets to choose from a menu that is presented in a way she can understand. All the activities that the home offers keep mum stimulated and interested. We enjoy the fortnightly newsletter which shows what mum has been getting up to and keep us well informed.
Friendly staff, nice food, and lots of activities to do in the day. Nice chatting to other residents, especially like the pretty decorations.
My mum has been in Woodlands Nursing Home for over 9 months now, and I have found it to be a really lovely home. The staff are all amazing and always has mum's best interests at heart. They look after her well and as so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is upset or just needs reassurance that we are ok. They will ring us to put her mind at rest. There is activities every day to stimulate the residents and they have people coming in to entertain them. It has a wonderful friendly atmosphere. They really look after the families too.
Excellent in every way, from care for my mother to care for everyone at Woodlands. Everyone smiles, says hello, remembers me and talks to my mother with dignity. I visit every day and feel I am visiting my mother in a place that feels like my mum's home. Not an experience I have found at other nursing homes. Thank you to all at Woodlands.
My husband was in Woodlands from May 2023 until April 2025 after he had suffered severe heart failure. He was treated with great respect and dignity. He was given first class care and support and commented every time I visited on how well he was looked after. The staff were always cheerful and caring. He enjoyed his meals and complimented the catering staff saying that he'd never had a poor meal there. Although he didn't join in activities, he did enjoy a few music sessions from time to time. His room was cosy and he always spoke to the staff as they passed by. His room was kept spotlessly clean. With continued physiotherapy, good medication and encouragement he made remarkable progress and was able to leave Woodland and return home on April 16th 2025. We would like to thank everyone who made this possible - the management, carers and nursing staff. We are extremely grateful to you all. I would not hesitate in recommending Woodlands. And thank you for all the cups of coffee!!
Mum never (through her choice) used all the facilities & activities available to her. However, ALL the staff were wonderful to her.
I have recommended Woodlands to several other people based on the excellent care given to Mum over the last five years and will continue to do so. I believe Mum would not have been with us for as long as she was, had it not been for the excellent level of care. I have always found the staff and management very helpful and quick to respond to any issue, no matter how small. Thank you to all.
When Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's vascular dementia and psychosis in February 2020, her psychiatrist told us she would lose her mental capacity to enjoy her surroundings, perhaps to know her family, within 6 months. My family all believe it is testament to the care she receives at Woodlands that she is still able to enjoy her life more than 2 years later.
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank all the staff at Woodlands Nursing Home for the outstanding care that he received. They were so kind, caring and compassionate and provided such amazing support not only to my father but to all the family towards the end of his life. The end-of-life care was exceptional and we are very grateful. Thank you.
My uncle is very happy at Woodlands Nursing Home, we are so grateful for all the care and attention he receives. We are particularly pleased that he is now able to walk again with all the exercise and encouragement. All the staff are friendly and helpful and obviously care deeply about the best interests of the residents. Meal times and activities are the highlights of my uncle's day. Thank you.
We are delighted with the level of care that my mother receives. The management and staff are excellent and very affectionate. My mother is very well settled, happy, and comfortable with the friendly faces she sees on a daily basis.
You look after my dad brilliantly, thank you. The home is an excellent standard throughout and the care staff are very kind and compassionate and feel more like close friends. We are so happy that dad is with you and have already recommended you to others.
We have always had excellent care and support for my mother. We cannot fault the home's response and communication during the pandemic. They have done remarkably well to keep the home free of any outbreak and get the residents vaccinated. We have routinely recommended the home to our friends and several have placed their family here, which is great to see.
Three cheers to you all! I can only imagine the challenges the home has faced during the pandemic and it is amazing you have prevented any outbreak in the home, for which we are very grateful. I have always found the home extremely supportive to us as family. Keep up the good work.
Woodlands provides outstanding care through the quality of its staff who are all caring and focus on the residents. The management team always respond quickly to any questions and there is constant feedback. The nurses are excellent and we are very happy.
We picked Woodlands based on their outstanding CQC report and we are glad we did. This view has been reaffirmed by the pre-emptive and excellent action they have taken during the COVID-19 crisis and I am not at all surprised that they have managed to avoid any outbreaks. As an example: prior to the government announcing lockdown, Woodlands had already put measures in place, such as regular temperature checks for all and even went as far as plumbing in an external basin for everyone to use prior to entering the building. The staff are compassionate and caring. When picking a home for my mother, the question was "what would my father have wanted for her" and I believe it is Woodlands. Thank you for all you do for mum, especially during this difficult time.
I cannot speak more highly of them and their response to COVID has been first class and I am not at all surprised they have managed to keep the home safe. The home and staff are excellent and I am comforted knowing how well my husband is looked after. Thank you to all of them for their dedication and hard work.
