My Dad has been in care at Crest Lodge since October 2024 after we lost my disabled mum & he couldn't care for himself as he is not mobile with limited movement & understanding after his strokes & seizures. We are so happy with his care, its nice to see the same staff & they all love Dad. They inform us if there is anything we need to know like if he has hurt himself, or if their is any changes we need to know. He can't do anything himself but they make sure that he joins in as much as possible & have even organised 1-1 time for him to get ample help while doing so, thank you!
My brother and I visited our brother along with my husband and the staff had offered us to have lunch with him. They really went the extra mile and we had a fabulous lunch in the courtyard and the staff couldn't have been more helpful . We managed to get our brother outside for the first time which was only possible as the staff organised everything so well and we spent around 5 hours with him. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and have the best interests of our brother at all times.
Arrived to music and BBQ in the garden. My brother was happy and relaxed. Staff were amazing, interacting with everyone, singing, dancing, very welcoming when we arrived. my brother doesn't usually join in, so lovely to see him outside with other residents.
I visited my brother with some mutual friends for his birthday. We made a Pavlova, and a staff member gave us plates and cutlery (spoons). The staff were very kind and understanding of my brother and his abilities. We went out for lunch at a pub and came back for tea in the afternoon. We all enjoyed the day.
In my first two days I have been overwhelmed by the friendly and welcoming staff. They seem to like me too! The building is historic and well kept, the rambling corridors are confusing but necessary. Only the old lifts let you down (pun) with their age and stiffness! They are at least fully functional. Room service was second to none, with food and beverages brought to your door day or night. Indeed the meals in general were excellent. The manager is charming and always willing to listen.
Well run, good place for my dads final days. Dad is cared for whilst he spends his time asleep. Would be good if there were a couple more hoists for the staff to use as this is the only equipment lacking however staff are attentive.
The home has good looking spacious rooms, friendly and approachable staff and the residents look happy. They also provide activities and some residents can go out. I would recommend it without a doubt.
Crest Lodge is a lovely well-kept home the staff have one of the most difficult jobs but do it very professionally which gives me peace of mind. The management staff are always on call and willing to help me my wife's illness is very complicated and takes constant care it is nice to see she's made some friends and she is safe at Crest Lodge.
My mother has been a resident of Crest Lodge for over half a year now. Mum came to Crest Lodge after being bounced around between hospitals and supported living services, and at the time it felt like any hope she would settle somewhere permanently was in vain. Since she was placed at Crest Lodge I have noticed a considerable improvement, and her symptoms have stabilised. The staff are communicative, friendly, receptive and follow up on everything. I feel confident that my mother's care is in capable compassionate hands.
I think the staff at Crest Lodge do an amazing job. They are very friendly on arrival nothing is too much trouble. They have enormous patience and kindness. They go to great lengths to make residents comfortable and safe. I have nothing but admiration for the care that they give my wife.
Overall care is good. Refer to friends and family. Feedback was completed with a few comments.
As my cousin's only living relative, I had been very concerned for his welfare over the years and so it was a great relief to me that a place had been found for him at Crest Lodge after a long spell in hospital. They specialise in mental health and complex medical needs. When he first arrived at Crest Lodge he was very agitated, upset and frustrated at his deteriorating mobility which now necessitated the use of a wheelchair. However, the staff at Crest Lodge provided a patient, caring and positive environment. He had a lovely room near to a small courtyard and he settled in very quickly. When we visited him the staff were all very kind and caring. They made every effort to ensure he socialised with other residents so he could feel at home. The staff at Crest Lodge work incredibly hard and are a credit to the home. The staff were very good at updating me with any issues and liaised promptly with GP's and other healthcare workers when necessary.
My brother-in-law has been at Crest Lodge for many years. We visited him on a regular basis so I can definitely say that the home is a very professionally run care home. We met several of his carers and all of them were very nice. My brother-in-law was taken care of very well and treated with dignity and courtesy, so I can honestly recommend Crest Lodge very much.
I have been very pleased with the services that Crest Lodge has provided to my brother. He arrived in a very ill, unsettled state. He was undernourished and severely underweight. Since his stay, he has been a different person - happier, more contented and feels very secure in his vicinity. The staff have been very caring and helpful towards him, looking after his welfare extremely professionally. From my experience of visiting my brother, I find him to be well-fed, washed and cared for. His room is clean, and so are his clothes. I would not hesitate to recommend Crest Lodge.
The facilities provided are wonderful for my sister. She considers Crest Lodge as her home and the staff as her family.
I was called to say that my cousin had Covid and was currently being isolated. She had been unwell the previous day but was now recovering and feeling better. The staff were informed and professional in the approach and the way they informed. I felt that they were looking after my cousin's welfare professionally.
During our visits, the staff have been friendly and helpful. The staff have informed us of any issues via telephone calls and emails. They are also extremely cooperative in dealing with outside agencies. The doctors and nurses associated with Crest Lodge are professional, and courteous and ensure my brother's medical conditions are well managed. I would recommend Crest Lodge to anyone looking for a nursing home.
My brother has been in care at Crest Lodge for several years. He is cared for very well, is safe and feels genuinely loved by the staff. The manager and entire team of staff at Crest Lodge work very hard and are compassionate. They demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, devotion and kindness to residents, and to family members. Liaison with the medical GP/services is prompt, which is also very reassuring. I/we are immensely grateful to the team at Crest Lodge.
I am delighted with the care my brother receives at Crest Lodge. I have always found the staff to be consistent and understanding of all of his needs. They really do go the extra mile to make his stay as comfortable as possible.
My brother moved to Crest Lodge a few months ago and the transition was smoother than I expected. The facilities and staff are very good.
