Crest Lodge is a very special place where a true family atmosphere is fostered by the wonderful manager, deputy and all staff. My sister was a resident for 16 years. She felt her room there, always clean and tidy, was her 'refuge'. Staff were compassionate and attentive to her needs. V displayed huge patience, as my sister's needs were complex and demanding. Senior management was always available. In the days leading up to my sister's death, the staff were really exceptional, going above and beyond in their care, not only of my sister, but also of her family. I know that my sister never wanted to be anywhere else as she felt so much at home with all the lovely staff and residents. We are deeply grateful to them all.
It was a privilege to support your sister over so many years, and we are deeply moved to know that Crest Lodge felt like her home and a place...
I am always welcomed warmly when visiting.
Thank you very much
Thank you very much for your great review, It is our pleasure caring for your father. I will be sure to share this review with Crest team.
My brother was very ill during the summer, but with the help, kindness and perseverance of all the staff, he is able to enjoy reading, writing, TV, radio and even trips out to shops, church, pubs and cafes. They have helped me be a brother again and not just a carer. We even enjoyed the Christmas party with live entertainment and many residents and families on 6th December 2025.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are very happy tp hear that staff efforts are appreciated. We'll be sure to pass along your feedback to them - they'll be trilled to know they made such a positive impact to you and your brother!
I have been a resident here for several years now, and I cannot speak highly enough about the home. I have no complaints at all, and this is largely due to the management being so good. I am unable to fault the staff and I have always been treated with kindness, respect and fairness.
Thank you for your great feedback, your satisfaction is our priority, and we are always here to help.
As a resident, I feel very fortunate to live at Crest Lodge. My best friend Beth & my social worker Annette made sure that I was in the best place for me with the best care possible. This is exactly what I want and get from living here. All the staff are so genuine, very gentle and always very helpful. My room is so good and very clean. All the place is always very clean and welcoming. The best is the food, amazing, incredible, so delicious. I love it all so much. Thank you so much for looking after me so well. Best regards.
We truly appreciated your lovely review, which is a great reflection of what we strive for. We are grateful to have you as part of Crest Lodge family.
My husband became a resident in July 2024. As a family, this was an extremely tough decision and experience for us, such worrying times, I cannot thank and praise Crest Lodge management and staff for their professional, kind and caring support for my husband and myself, children and family in the last year. My husband has settled really well and seems happy, and that's all we could hope and wish for. All staff are very friendly and accommodating.
It's great to hear you're happy with the care and wellbeing we provide to your husband. We will like to take the opportunity to thank you for your support involving in his care- this mean s a lot for us.
My sister is a resident at Crest Lodge - it is a testament to all of the staff that she has been able to live here for quite a long time in a relatively stable and happy condition compared to the struggles she had with settling elsewhere with her complex mental and physical needs. This is her home and the staff are brilliant in understanding her needs as well as showing kindness, compassion and tolerance. Crest Lodge is well-lead with great staff and I always feel welcome when I visit my sister.
Thank you very much for your kind words, we are thrilled you share your a great experience with Crest Lodge care we provide to your sister.
I try to visit Carl once a week. The staff are always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I try to come on a Saturday around noon, Carl always seems to be happy and well looked after. This does not seem to be just for my attention as I have visited sometimes on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday after work when everything is done to the same standard and the staff are helpful and Carl seems happy.
Thank you very much for your time and lovely words about staff and the care we provide.
My Dad has been in care at Crest Lodge since October 2024 after we lost my disabled mum & he couldn't care for himself as he is not mobile with limited movement & understanding after his strokes & seizures. We are so happy with his care, its nice to see the same staff & they all love Dad. They inform us if there is anything we need to know like if he has hurt himself, or if their is any changes we need to know. He can't do anything himself but they make sure that he joins in as much as possible & have even organised 1-1 time for him to get ample help while doing so, thank you!
Thank you for your lovely words, I will ensure this is passed onto the care teams.
They really went the extra mile and we had a fabulous lunch in the courtyard and the staff couldn't have been more helpful . We managed to get our brother outside for the first time which was only possible as the staff organised everything so well and we spent around 5 hours with him.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful and have the best interests of our brother at all times.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your positive experience! We are thrilled to hear you enjoy the family lunch in courtyard and that it met your expectations. Your feedback is a great encouragement for Crest lodge team.
Arrived to music and BBQ in the garden. My brother was happy and relaxed. Staff were amazing, interacting with everyone, singing, dancing, very welcoming when we arrived. my brother doesn't usually join in, so lovely to see him outside with other residents.
Thank you very much for your great review, your feedback is very important for us. We are happy you had a good time with your brother and I remember the smile on his face enjoying the event and your company.
In my first two days I have been overwhelmed by the friendly and welcoming staff. They seem to like me too! The building is historic and well kept, the rambling corridors are confusing but necessary. Only the old lifts let you down (pun) with their age and stiffness! They are at least fully functional. Room service was second to none, with food and beverages brought to your door day or night. Indeed the meals in general were excellent. The manager is charming and always willing to listen.
Thank you very much for your honest comments and lovely words. we are delighted that you are part of Crest Lodge family.
Well run, good place for my dads final days. Dad is cared for whilst he spends his time asleep. Would be good if there were a couple more hoists for the staff to use as this is the only equipment lacking however staff are attentive.
The home has good looking spacious rooms, friendly and approachable staff and the residents look happy. They also provide activities and some residents can go out. I would recommend it without a doubt.
Thank you for your great review of Crest Lodge. We've passed your kind words to the team.
Crest Lodge is a lovely well-kept home the staff have one of the most difficult jobs but do it very professionally which gives me peace of mind. The management staff are always on call and willing to help me my wife's illness is very complicated and takes constant care it is nice to see she's made some friends and she is safe at Crest Lodge.
We are pleased to hear that you and your loved ones are happy with the care and wellbeing we provide in Crest Lodge.
My mother has been a resident of Crest Lodge for over half a year now. Mum came to Crest Lodge after being bounced around between hospitals and supported living services, and at the time it felt like any hope she would settle somewhere permanently was in vain. Since she was placed at Crest Lodge I have noticed a considerable improvement, and her symptoms have stabilised. The staff are communicative, friendly, receptive and follow up on everything. I feel confident that my mother's care is in capable compassionate hands.
Thank you very much for taking time to leave the review it really means a lot for us. We are so happy to hear you are confident of the care and wellbeing we provide to your mum.
I think the staff at Crest Lodge do an amazing job. They are very friendly on arrival nothing is too much trouble. They have enormous patience and kindness. They go to great lengths to make residents comfortable and safe. I have nothing but admiration for the care that they give my wife.
Thank you for your great feedback. We are delighted to know you are pleased with our service and the high quality of care we provide.
Refer to friends and family. Feedback was completed with a few comments.
Thank you very much for your time, your feedback is important for us.
When he first arrived at Crest Lodge he was very agitated, upset and frustrated at his deteriorating mobility which now necessitated the use of a wheelchair. However, the staff at Crest Lodge provided a patient, caring and positive environment. He had a lovely room near to a small courtyard and he settled in very quickly.
When we visited him the staff were all very kind and caring. They made every effort to ensure he socialised with other residents so he could feel at home. The staff at Crest Lodge work incredibly hard and are a credit to the home. The staff were very good at updating me with any issues and liaised promptly with GP's and other healthcare workers when necessary.
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback about our service. We are pleased to know that your experience with Crest Lodge is great and we will pass on your lovely comments to our staff.
My brother-in-law has been at Crest Lodge for many years. We visited him on a regular basis so I can definitely say that the home is a very professionally run care home. We met several of his carers and all of them were very nice. My brother-in-law was taken care of very well and treated with dignity and courtesy, so I can honestly recommend Crest Lodge very much.
Dear family, thank you for your kind words about Crest Lodge they are really appreciated. We love making our residents, their families and staff happy.
