Amazing support provided to Mum, during her 10 weeks stay at Abbey Chase in a temporary step-down bed following hospital discharge.

Every staff member we met was extremely professional and efficient, they were always cheerful and encouraging with Mum. This kind and carefully measured level of support

made her transition from living at home on her own, to moving into the Care Home environment so much easier.

Kings Lodge Care Centre

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Although only for a short respite stay for my sister in law I can wholeheartedly recommend King's Lodge. The diligent care of every staff member to my sister in law and also the warm welcome and help to myself as next of kin has been exemplary, faultless. One of King's Lodge values is to really understand
the individual needs of their service users and demonstrably show this through the care they provide. They do this in every interaction. I have had a lot of experience with many care homes. The ones where the staff recognise that they are working in the home of the service users and treat people as they would there own relative are the best and King's Lodge certainly do all they can to deliver in this manner. King's Lodge is a small care home. Not many of the big bells and whistles of larger homes but those are not necessary. The small intimate home and a good staff to resident ratio allows for personal time to be given and thats the most important care of all. I highly recommend.

Surrey Heights

from Alfredo G (Husband of Resident) published on 22 May 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife has been in Surrey Heights for about eighteen months, and I have been visiting her every day. In all the time I have been going I have got to know the carers very well and now think of them as my friends. I have been amazed by their sense of humour and infinite patience and the affection they
have towards the people in their care.

The home organises fun days. Sometimes an entertainer turns up and I, along with everyone else, get to relive my youth with songs from Elvis and The Beatles.
On special days, the staff set a long table in the dining room that is a joy to see.

Needless to say, I have also gotten to know the other patients, and it is quite normal to see them wander into my wife's bedroom and, after a few minutes, wander out again.
The food they serve is very nice and they even feed me as I am there for a long time.

Being in a home is not fun for anyone, but I am very glad our daughter found Surrey Heights.

I feel very happy to know that my wife is in their care.

I cannot praise this home highly enough. The service that my sister has received has exceeded our expectations. All of the staff, across all of the disciplines (housekeeping, nursing, therapy, care team, catering, admin, management) are all responsive and proactive. Staff are consistent, warm and person-centred

Abbey Chase Nursing Home

My husband was transferred to Abbey Chase following a month-long stay in a hospice.
From the moment he arrived we were welcomed as if we were checking into a 5-star hotel.
He had a lovely room which we were able to personalise with throws, pictures etc from home to make him feel comfortable and settled.
Sadly, he passed away after just a couple of weeks but the kindness, professionalism, and respect shown to both of us during that time was outstanding. And being able to take our dog, Monty, to visit him was a real bonus and I know that brought him great comfort just when it was needed the most.
Nothing was too much trouble. The staff didn't just look after my husband, they looked after me too which was so appreciated.
I returned to following his passing to collect a few things and I was welcomed back like an old friend.
I cannot praise the management - Maria and Gino, and the staff of Abbey Chase highly enough. You made a difficult time so very much easier to cope with. Thank you.

I spent 2weeks in Bagshot Park care centre in order to rehabilitate after a hip replacement operation as I did not want to return home immediately to care for myself. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. It proved a good choice for my recuperation as the nurses took care of my medication needs,
with checks during the night there was a menu choice for each meal, the laundry service and room cleaning staff were excellent and the physiotherapist very encouraging. Many Thanks.

I am so impressed with Kings Lodge as a provider for residents with Dementia. and Parkinson's conditions. The staff are very professional, caring, empathetic and respect the resident's dignity. Kings Lodge is very clean and well kept and the residents have activities on a daily basis to help with
their cognitive skills. The food, prepared by their in house chef, is extremely good, providing residents with a varied and nutritious diet. Oggie, the manager, is extremely knowledgable and caring both to residents and staff. A bonus is that I can visit whenever I want to and can bring my dog. The home has a very family feel to it which is so beneficial to the residents.

My sister was at Kingston Rehabilitation Centre for five weeks following a fall. As a family we were delighted with the service provided, the care and consideration given to her by the staff and her improvement during that time.

She really enjoyed her therapy sessions and the also the whole range

of activities on offer. All of this not only improved her independence and mobility, it increased her confidence too. She has just walked down 25 stairs unaided without a break. This is brilliant news and due in no small part to the team at Kingston.

Our concern has been for our sister but we are also struck by the kindness and responsiveness to her family and friends, who have been welcomed and looked after too.

Professionally I have visited dozens of care homes and rehabilitation service over my career and I say that Kingston has impressed on all levels.

We are now planning a return for day care, additional therapies and some short breaks

Crest Lodge is a very special place where a true family atmosphere is fostered by the wonderful manager, deputy and all staff. My sister was a resident for 16 years. She felt her room there, always clean and tidy, was her 'refuge'. Staff were compassionate and attentive to her needs. V displayed huge
patience, as my sister's needs were complex and demanding. Senior management was always available. In the days leading up to my sister's death, the staff were really exceptional, going above and beyond in their care, not only of my sister, but also of her family. I know that my sister never wanted to be anywhere else as she felt so much at home with all the lovely staff and residents. We are deeply grateful to them all.
Reply from Krasimira Petrova, Home Manager at Crest LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and thoughtful review. Your kind words mean a great deal to the whole team at Crest Lodge.
It was a privilege to support your sister over so many years, and we are deeply moved to know that Crest Lodge felt like her home and a place of comfort and safety. Your recognition of the compassion, patience, and dedication shown by the staff, particularly during such an emotional and difficult time, will be shared with the whole team.
Supporting not only residents but also their families is very important to us, and we are grateful that you felt supported and cared for in your sister's final days. Thank you for trusting us and for your generosity in acknowledging the commitment of everyone involved.

I cannot begin to express how excellent Brownscombe was in all areas. They helped expidite my father's move from hospital for end of life care, and this gave him the dignity and respect that he deserved for his final few days, in a place of clean, quiet and attentative sanctuary. The change in his levels
of stress the moment that he arrived was palpable, and the kindness and understanding that he was shown made such a difference to him. Everyone at Brownscombe from management, care staff, nurses, cleaners and chefs were exceptional.
Reply from Kevin Lorimer, Head of Hotel Services at Brownscombe Care ResidencesThank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My aunt spent the last few months of her life in The Summers. She was treated exceptionally well in every respect. They really cared for her to the smallest detail, and were extremely patient with her. They were also very kind to the family when we visited.
Such a lovely Home, and very caring staff.
Thank you for everything you did to make the last few months of her life special.
