So pleased to have found Surrey Heights and have now used it several times for respite care for my husband. There is no minimum stay requirement which has been fantastic and enabled me to visit family for long weekends.
It's a lovely home with very kind, caring staff. We are both made to feel very
welcome and I have already booked more stays. It is really good to know that my husband is in such a kind, caring environment whilst I get a much needed break from full time caring.
Reply from Jean-Pascal Toussaint, Home Manager at Surrey HeightsThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Surrey Heights. We are truly pleased to hear that you have found our home supportive and flexible for your husband's respite stays. It is wonderful to know that both you and your husband feel welcomed and cared for by our team. Your kind words about our staff mean a great deal to us, and I will make sure they are shared with the whole team.

My husband had been very unwell for a while & was then hospitalised for 2 weeks. He was taken directly to Bagshot Park Rehabilitation & Care Home. He was very wary & weak & could not walk. At Bagshot he had his own room, with ensuite wet room & the care of extremely attentive carers, for his every need.
Excellent food 3 times a day, where I could join him if I wished. He had physio to suit his ability, 5 times a week, to get him stronger & get his confidence back. He is now home after 3 weeks & we are continuing the physio as an outpatient. The staff were truly amazing, just like one big family.
Reply from Sandra Chinyere, Manager at Bagshot Park Care CentreThank you so much for your lovely review. Reading your kind words means a lot to our team, and we are honoured that you chose Bagshot Park Rehab Centre to support your husband during such an important stage of his recovery. We're delighted to learn how much the care, physiotherapy, and support from our team helped him regain his strength and confidence. The chef will be delighted with the compliments on the food too! Knowing that you both felt welcomed and cared for, and that our team personalised his care and also made you feel like part of one big family, is heartening. Thank you for placing your continued trust in our team. We are pleased to remain part of his recovery journey as an outpatient and look forward to supporting him every step of the way.

Mum (aged 92) has now been at Whitegates for eight months, and during that time I've not had cause to doubt our decision for her to move there, for residential care. I was initially concerned that she would hibernate in her room watching television. This certainly isn't the case. She is always in one
of the numerous lounge areas chatting with other residents or staff. I have been particularly impressed with the ratio of staff to residents. There always seem to be two or three assistants or nurses nearby, Mum. Moving Mum from her own home of many years was a difficult decision for the family, but no regrets. Communication with management is excellent.
Reply from Josh Barlow, Home Manager at Whitegates Nursing HomeDear C F, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We continue to love supporting your mum within Whitegates and as you say, she is quite the social butterfly! We are pleased to hear you are happy with the staffing levels, communication and wellbeing support. I would love to catch up with you further on the potential improvements around Food&Drink and specific activities which we can work on. However, thanks again for leaving us the review.

I enjoyed my experience at Bagshot apart from having a hospital bed. The bed sheets didn't get changed throughout my stay. I also had to put up with the same towels. The food was great and the staff were fantastic.
Reply from Sandra Chinyere, Manager at Bagshot Park Care CentreDear JN, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience at Bagshot Park Rehab Centre. We are very pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable experience during your respite stay. Following your valuable feedback, we will take bed allocation into consideration for our respite residents. We are sorry to learn that the housekeeping fell short of our usual high standards which I have passed on to our team as a matter of priority. You will be pleased to know that we have made changes to our activities schedule with a variety of weekly events now on offer for our residents. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the staff. We look forward to welcoming you back to Bagshot Park Rehab Centre in the future.

Amazing support provided to Mum, during her 10 weeks stay at Abbey Chase in a temporary step-down bed following hospital discharge.
Every staff member we met was extremely professional and efficient, they were always cheerful and encouraging with Mum. This kind and carefully measured level of support
made her transition from living at home on her own, to moving into the Care Home environment so much easier.

Although only for a short respite stay for my sister in law I can wholeheartedly recommend King's Lodge. The diligent care of every staff member to my sister in law and also the warm welcome and help to myself as next of kin has been exemplary, faultless. One of King's Lodge values is to really understand
the individual needs of their service users and demonstrably show this through the care they provide. They do this in every interaction. I have had a lot of experience with many care homes. The ones where the staff recognise that they are working in the home of the service users and treat people as they would there own relative are the best and King's Lodge certainly do all they can to deliver in this manner. King's Lodge is a small care home. Not many of the big bells and whistles of larger homes but those are not necessary. The small intimate home and a good staff to resident ratio allows for personal time to be given and thats the most important care of all. I highly recommend.

My wife has been in Surrey Heights for about eighteen months, and I have been visiting her every day. In all the time I have been going I have got to know the carers very well and now think of them as my friends. I have been amazed by their sense of humour and infinite patience and the affection they
have towards the people in their care.
The home organises fun days. Sometimes an entertainer turns up and I, along with everyone else, get to relive my youth with songs from Elvis and The Beatles.
On special days, the staff set a long table in the dining room that is a joy to see.
Needless to say, I have also gotten to know the other patients, and it is quite normal to see them wander into my wife's bedroom and, after a few minutes, wander out again.
The food they serve is very nice and they even feed me as I am there for a long time.
Being in a home is not fun for anyone, but I am very glad our daughter found Surrey Heights.
I feel very happy to know that my wife is in their care.

My husband was transferred to Abbey Chase following a month-long stay in a hospice.
From the moment he arrived we were welcomed as if we were checking into a 5-star hotel.
He had a lovely room which we were able to personalise with throws, pictures etc from home to make him feel comfortable and settled.
Sadly, he passed away after just a couple of weeks but the kindness, professionalism, and respect shown to both of us during that time was outstanding. And being able to take our dog, Monty, to visit him was a real bonus and I know that brought him great comfort just when it was needed the most.
Nothing was too much trouble. The staff didn't just look after my husband, they looked after me too which was so appreciated.
I returned to following his passing to collect a few things and I was welcomed back like an old friend.
I cannot praise the management - Maria and Gino, and the staff of Abbey Chase highly enough. You made a difficult time so very much easier to cope with. Thank you.
Reply from Maria Krystyanc, Manager at Abbey Chase Nursing HomeDear Kate; Thank you very much for your kind feedback and please always remember that you more than welcome in Abbey Chase. Kind regards Maria

I spent 2weeks in Bagshot Park care centre in order to rehabilitate after a hip replacement operation as I did not want to return home immediately to care for myself. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. It proved a good choice for my recuperation as the nurses took care of my medication needs,
with checks during the night there was a menu choice for each meal, the laundry service and room cleaning staff were excellent and the physiotherapist very encouraging. Many Thanks.

I am so impressed with Kings Lodge as a provider for residents with Dementia. and Parkinson's conditions. The staff are very professional, caring, empathetic and respect the resident's dignity. Kings Lodge is very clean and well kept and the residents have activities on a daily basis to help with
their cognitive skills. The food, prepared by their in house chef, is extremely good, providing residents with a varied and nutritious diet. Oggie, the manager, is extremely knowledgable and caring both to residents and staff. A bonus is that I can visit whenever I want to and can bring my dog. The home has a very family feel to it which is so beneficial to the residents.
