Review of Dalling House Care Home, Crowborough.
I would like to take this opportunity to report my when visiting my Uncle at the above care home.
I have always found the the standard of care given to my Uncle has always been of a considerate and caring nature.
Hs room is always clean and tidy and
staff have been putting themselves out to make sure he is happy and are medically aware of his health condition.
The home i feel is being run at a professional level and I have always been informed of any health and welfare issues that need my involvement.

We are very happy with the home because my sister is extremely difficult to please, but she is really happy with this home. The owner has bent over backwards to ensure that my sister is happy, comfortable and all her needs are met. She has a great room and the staff are really attentive and helpful
to ensure that she is happy and cared for. The food is very agreeable and the residents have a wonderful communal lounge to share and talk with each other. She is treated with real dignity and no problem is too great to fix.

My Mum moved into Dalling House in May directly from hospital. Her care since she has been in the home has been exemplary and my Mum has gone on to rebuild her mobility and strength. She often tells me about the food that she's been eating and how much she enjoys it. Recently joking that she should
reduce what she's eating because she's putting on the weight (she previously lost before admission to hospital).
My husband and I visit when we can and have always found the staff to be very approachable and very caring. The home is always clean if somewhat dated.
My only criticism would be the lack of outside activities although I realise that this takes additional staffing and the related costs.

My mother has been a resident at Dalling House for five months, she has settled in extremely well. The staff have been amazing with my mum, they give her all the care and attention that she needs. I have always been informed of any problems relating to her health. I was worried about how my mum
would settle into a care home environment and i can honestly say they made her feel at home from day one. Its a small care home with a homely feel, the food is home cooked, my mum always mentions how nice it is! They have activities through the week for all residents to participate and even a staff member paints her nails. Thank you all for all your care and support.

My mother-in-law is very happy and well cared for.
The staff are attentive and kind.
We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
They keep my wife fully informed of any changes that may occur.
The food is good and appetising.

My father suffers from dementia and had recently lost his wife and initially went into Dalling House for respite care after an operation. He was very reluctant to go but after his operation needed 24 hour care. The team was excellent with him, showing him compassion and understanding sitting with
him and talking to him about his wife and life. After six weeks, he sadly could not remember his home and wanted to remain at Dalling House. Dad has been at Dalling House for just over a year and is really enjoying life, the twinkle in his eye is back and it's incredible to see his cheeky grin return. He has a couple of favourites, but all the team are amazing. I am reassured to know that dad is safe and well looked cared for.

I needed to find a suitable local care home for my elderly sister who we had looked after in our own house for the last four and a half years. I wanted somewhere which was homely, not too large and where the residents were treated as people, not numbers, in a friendly environment. We checked out
Dalling House and were delighted to find that it ticked all of our boxes. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, and my sister’s room is just right for her and she has her own furniture and bed, which makes her feel at home. The facilities are perfectly adequate for her needs and a doctor visits regularly so we know she is in good hands. Her room is always clean and tidy when we visit and she enjoys a choice of food. We are very happy with Dalling House.

My mother spent two years at Dalling House, until she recently passed away. We always found the staff helpful and friendly. We were always kept informed of any problems relating to Mum’s health etc. Being a small care home, it always had a homely atmosphere.

It is the first time I've ever had to organise some respite care for my mum. I've always looked after my mum myself. The care, love, support they given to Mum in just the 24 hours she's been there has been incredible!
The amazing team run that little home beautifully. I've actually had some quality
time visiting Mum tonight, she looked so cozy and comfortable, well fed, clean and relaxed. She's made friends which is lovely.
Thank you so much everyone. You are a wonderful team and having worked in several nursing homes, hospitals and private practices, I couldn't recommend you enough.

I found the resident care staff very helpful when arranging to get my mother ready and on time, so that I could take her out in the afternoons. The care staff are also very helpful at addressing any issues or requirements that need to be dealt with. I was also very grateful for a staff member to
walk my mother to the local community hospital in a wheelchair to have an X-ray.

My 83-year-old sister-in-law has regular respite breaks about every 10 weeks and really enjoys her stays. She now looks forward to going and has built a good relationship with the staff who are all lovely and friendly. She enjoys the home-cooked food and always a choice if main meal not for you.
Being a smaller home it is more homely which suits my sister-in-law well. The home also provides some activities for the residents giving them a break in routine and again seems to be enjoyed by those who can partake. The owner is also extremely helpful and does her best to facilitate the regular respite dates which we really appreciate as it gives us some time for ourselves. We will continue to book the respite breaks and gives us peace of mind to know my sister-in-law is well cared for. Thank you to all of you for your professional and caring support.

My dad needed respite care after suffering a stroke, his aim was to always return to his own home.
The Dalling House owner and all her staff have been so very friendly, caring, helpful and supportive for this to happen. I can’t thank them enough.

My mother has recently stayed at Dalling House for care while we were on holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by kind, friendly staff, which straight away, put our minds at ease that she would be well looked after. There is a lovely, homely atmosphere. We were very happy with her
bedroom and facilities. We have booked my mother in for more respite care later on in the year.

I was very worried about my wife going into care but all the staff at Dalling House have been outstanding. My wife loves it there and is very happy.

I found it very difficult to let go and trust anyone to look after my 89-year-old mum that needs 24-hour care.
I cannot thank Dalling House highly enough for taking away all my pressure.
The owner and her team are all so kind, caring and attentive. They literally are one big extended family and I
trust them to look after my mum 100%.
I would recommend Dalling House 100%. Thank you Dalling House.

My mum moved into Dalling House in July as her dementia became worse and she needed 24-hour care. The manager and her staff cared for my mum in a most professional way. My mum was only there for five weeks as she passed away on Thursday 19th August due to her condition. I can’t thank the staff
enough for the kindness we received as a family whilst our mum deteriorated. We would highly recommend Dalling House for their kind and professional handling. Thank you.

My sister and I looked at many care homes for our mum, it’s not easy to find one that ticks all the boxes, but Dalling House definitely does, we’re extremely pleased and couldn’t be happier with the care and attention my mum has been getting from the very caring staff at Dalling House. My mum has
dementia and is now immobile, it’s very comforting to know they are always there to attend to her needs, the facilities are excellent, as is the amazing home-cooked food, also good to know a GP and district nurse attend weekly. The staff and owner are really kind, nothing's too much trouble, overall, I would definitely recommend Dalling House!

Very pleasant stay, well cared for, food very good, staff very attentive and kind. I was there for respite and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Dalling House again. I would have preferred a shower and did not take part in any activities by my own choice.

My mother was very well cared for.
On the times I visited my Mum, I found the staff were very professional and kind.
Also, we were updated on a daily basis.
We were also able to FaceTime and call Mum with the help from the wonderful staff .
It felt so much like a home from home, the care my
mother received.
The personal touch my mother had was 1st class.
I would highly recommend this family-run care home in the future.
