My husband, Graham, is a very satisfied resident of Waverly Grange. Despite having very limited mobility his care is excellent, and he get on well with the excellent staff, who are exceptionally patient. Activities are well planned and enjoyed.
I am welcomed when I visit and have supper with
Graham which I appreciate.Out of Top 30 (Position) - Missing Ratings - email matches so sent Missing Ratings email.

I was so pleased to have been able to find such a lovely care home for Mum to spend her last years. The staff were consistently caring and patient and always responded to any questions or worries I had about Mum's needs, particularly when Mum needed increasing support and personal attention. It was
a huge shock that Mum passed away within a very short time. Everyone was so very kind and Mum was cared for with outstanding dignity and calmness in her last days, although I would have found it helpful to have been guided through this difficult time to know what to expect as the end approached. I will hold very fond memories of Mum's time at Waverley and the very personal way in which we were all welcomed to the 'Waverley family'. I send a heartfelt thank you to everyone and all good wishes for their ongoing success!

My mother spent the last two years of her life at Waverley Grange. She was always very well looked after and all aspects of her care were excellent. All the staff showed great kindness and patience in her everyday life.
The home had a warm and welcoming atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble
for the staff.
Her room was very comfortable and clean and there were many in house activities for her to join.

Warm, friendly and caring atmosphere as soon as you walk into the door. Lively interaction between staff, residents and visitors. Everything is done to make the place feel like home.

I attended a 40th anniversary celebration of Bupa care homes at Waverley Grange Care home in July 2025 as a stall holder at the event. The staff had organised a range of events for the day, including singers, cooked food and activities for children in the garden. Children were welcome at the event.
The lady at the reception was very helpful and friendly when children and visitors needed to use the toilet inside the building.

My father moved to Waverley Grange after my mother passed away suddenly and his world was turned upside down. Unable to stay in the family home he'd shared with her for over 50 years, and having lost his life partner, he was scared, vulnerable, and sad.
Everyone at The Grange went out of their way
to welcome home to the home and in a relatively short period of time we noticed an improvement in his mental state. While he chose not to get involved with the activities, he started to feel at home in a relatively short period of time.
A man of routine, he knew what he liked, especially when it came to his food, and the cooks did everything they could to make sure that his boiled eggs were cooked to his preference and they even ordered different muesli in just for him.
All the carers and nurses work so hard at the home and nothing is too much bother.
Regrettably my father passed away recently but I'm sure the Grange gave us an extra few months with him that we wouldn't have had otherwise.

My Dad was only in Waverley Grange for 6 days, the care he received was excellent, it was compassionate and holistic. It was a very warm and professional environment, and as a family we were all cared for in that week.We thank everyone who looked after him.

I could not have found a better place for my needs.
Post-surgery, I needed recovery time and assistance before returning home.
Everyone at Waverley Grange could not have been more caring, supportive and kind. Questions were answered, and I was checked on at regular intervals to be sure all was
well.
Many thanks to all who made my stay so good and beneficial.

My mum has been a resident at Waverley Grange for four years and we are very happy with the care she receives and the facilities the care home offers. The staff really are like a big family, very kind and caring and we are always made to feel welcome. If we do have any concerns, they are dealt with
in an excellent, professional manner. My mum has a nice room and we have been able to put lots of photographs on the walls and bring some of her own furniture which helps to make it feel more personal and homely. It has been quite a journey for us to find the most appropriate and caring setting, close to where we live and we are grateful to all at Waverley Grange for making this possible.

Waverley Grange has been Dad's home for thirty one months now.
In his own words, he always says 'I am very happy here, and the food is good'. It is a bright, modern, friendly, welcoming home where the staff are very kind and caring and always do their best to look after Dad with outstanding
respect and care. There is a lovely reception conservatory area where, as a family, we take Dad for coffee and cake. It makes visiting Dad a joy. The management are always responsive, approachable and professional. We would wholeheartedly recommend Waverley Grange.

My wife has been a resident of Waverley Grange Care Home for a short time and during what was a difficult time for her settling into her new environment, she was shown the utmost care and respect by all staff. This was very important for her wellbeing and mine. It was very reassuring for me to place
the care of my wife in such good hands. A fact most apparent is how well Waverley Grange is managed. Every issue has been handled promptly and with the needs of my wife met by well-trained and competent staff. A special mention is given to the performance of the staff over the Christmas period. They maintained a cheerful and festive spirit throughout what could have been a difficult time for Residents away from their homes for the first time.

My father moved to Waverley Grange for hospice care in November, as we were no longer able to continue caring for him at home after he deteriorated. We were worried that being in a care home might not offer him the same support we could, but allowing the staff to care for him meant we all got to
spend precious, quality time before he died. The duty of care, support and understanding was invaluable, and we cannot thank the staff enough for all their help and guidance at such a difficult and emotional time for the family. We'd really like to thank everyone who looked after him, you all made a very difficult situation manageable and gave him such dignity at the end that we know he died peacefully which is all we wanted. We will be forever grateful. You are a team of such lovely people; we cannot recommend you enough. Wishing you all a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2025.

My mother has been at Waverley Grange for 6 months now after being cared for by the family. Having been to the home for respite a few times when it was decided she needed care the only place she wanted was Waverley Grange. I cannot fault the service she and the family have received from the staff.
My mother feels very safe and secure, and is very happy and settled.

My Dad was in the nursing wing of this home for the last 8 weeks of his life. He was very frail and found communication hard at the end. The staff were amazingly kind and gentle and became true friends and supporters for both him and my Mum. The food was really wonderful and the kitchen staff
careful and creative with his fairly specific needs and preferences. I have nothing bad to say.

Dad arrived 5 months ago. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's some 20 years ago, it was heart-wrenching for our family to take the decision to place him into a home. From the initial meeting, to his arrival, Waverley staff were professional, yet warm and welcoming. They have continued to welcome
us all when we visit. Dad loves to be outside gardening (on his good mobility days). He has had some lovely feedback from the staff on his efforts in the garden area. It's lovely to see him receive nice comments. The majority of staff understand him/his illness better now, some not so, although we hope this will continue to improve. It's a shame that we have lost the customer portal recently. Albeit some information was not always 100% accurate, it was still a good source for us to check on him, on the days we were not able to visit. The communal areas are great to sit and play dominoes with Dad, rather than sitting in his room on every visit.

First-time visit to a care home where my mother has been a resident for a few months. Good first impression with all staff appearing very friendly and competent. My mother has a lovely room overlooking and with access to the garden which is well-kept and inviting. Her room was well-appointed and
afforded her everything she could wish for as she looked to rebuild her health. It's pleasing to note that she has successfully put on weight, looks well and appears happy (it's been a while since I've noticed her smile but she is now). Time will tell just how well the home has performed but she is starting to make friends with other residents and is slowly coming out of her shell having spent many months living at home by herself.
There appears to be an air of peace and tranquillity at the home and a welcoming coffee/tea and slice of cake when you arrive. Hopefully, my mum will continue to enjoy her stay there for however long it may be.

At the age of 92, Mum was moved to Waverley Grange from the hospital for palliative care in February. Initially, Mum found it quite difficult to adjust, having lived independently, until a spate of ill health. After a few weeks, Mum picked up and was able to be moved downstairs, where she was able
to socialise with other residents and take part in whatever activities were going on. She particularly enjoyed the petting animals that visited and the outing to a garden centre. Sadly Mum passed away in early July. All of the staff were kind, caring and respectful to Mum, me and the family members that visited. It was thanks to the care and dedication of them all that Mum was able to enjoy the last few months of her life.
