View Full Details of Shannon CourtWe visited our friend on many occasions and he was always in the lounge with all these poor people who did nothing but scream and shout at the staff. It was absolutely awful. He finished up in hospital dehydrated and had not had a bowel movement for two weeks. He has now moved to another care home and he is100% better. He is more alert, laughing and joking with us thank God. Know nothing about the care home because he was always in the lounge with all the other poor residents.
Mum has been at Shannon Court (Lantern) since May and has settled in really well. Yes, it has taken time, as Mum's condition means she struggles with change, but she is now happy and has friends to talk to. She is looking well, her hair is nicely done, and she is always neatly dressed. The staff are amazingly kind and caring. They are marvellous with Mum and make her smile. As visitors, we have always felt very welcome. As a family, we feel comforted to know that although Mum is not well, she is well cared for.
The nursing home could be cleaner, such as a good lick of paint, more pictures up on the wall, the floors mopped when spillages occur and more staff on to look after the residents.
