View Full Details of Mill View Care HomeMartine House - When visiting my dad, he seems happy and relaxed here. The staff always makes us feel welcome when we come to visit him. I can't comment on the activities as we have not been when they have been doing any. It is a lovely place and I am happy to have my wonderful Dad in a place where he is being looked after.
All her years at Atlas and Albion House. We highly recommend Atlas House for the superb care they take of my beloved auntie under the excellent leadership of Julie and at weekends, Afif. Staff are always kind, caring to my auntie. I know she is at peace living there. We are more thankful to them than they will ever know. They restore my faith in humanity. They are Angels. I pray God blesses each one of them.
My best friends nana was admitted for respite and she enjoyed her stay that much she's been booked in again numerous times throughout the year! The staff here couldn't be more attentive and are always going beyond their roles which shows just how fantastic they all. We feel more like family when she and everyone else arrives and I love that. My best friend put Mill View as a last option when deciding were the respite would be until I brought her in and showed her around, showed the room, introduced the staff and went through numerous other things to help make her mind up and show just how much of a wonderful place we are and also the whole visit got her to choose us and she's been in respite
The care and service is wonderful. The home is clean, tidy, food is good, services provided for residents are food, all staff who I have come into contact with are friendly, polite, courteous and competent. Reception staff are so welcoming. I honestly cannot fault anything. Also, the buildings are all on one level, alleviating falls and trips due to having no steps or stairs.
My auntie was neglected at this home. Faeces on the pillow cases left wet in bed. Medication was left in her bed. Had two meeting with mangers nothing was addressed. Very very short staffed. The rooms were disgusting dirty and un kept. Their is vulnerable people walking around the building all day long their were no evidence of any interaction with any of the residents. Absolutely disgusting also in the kitchen area their were e cigarettes left in reach of the residents. I would not leave my dog their and to add we had a meeting this morning and it was decided my late auntie was indeed neglected!
On arrival to visit my nana, there was other family members waiting to access the building to see their loved ones for over 20 minutes, there was at least 6 residence in the corridor on their own banging on the door and shouting because they can see their family trying to visit them and residance was arguing amongst them selves... there was not a member of staff in sight checking to see what the loud commotion was. Once we gained entry a rude member of staff ignored family members concerns and she pushed past visitors causing injury to a young girl and then got confrontational saying it was accident and refused to apologies and walked off. There is a few lovely members of staff there that we are grateful for their hard work.
My Wife seems happy here and the staff are lovely.
The current support which is given to the patients is excellent and very attentive in every way. The cleanliness is top-class. I am happy to leave my husband in such caring hands, knowing he is being well looked after.
I found Mill View delivered a very good standard of care and would definitely recommend it to anyone. I found the staff very caring and very hardworking from the carers to the maintenance team. I will always have fond memories of my aunt's time there.
So disappointed in the care my mother-in-law recently received in this home. Residents are left facing each other in chairs for 12 hours of the day while staff sit playing on their phones or playing cards there is very little interaction with the residents. The rooms stink of urine and the sippy cups given to residents had black mould on. If asked any questions the staff don't seem to know the answers they have to check. Overall most but not all of the staff are just going through the motions with very little interest in who they are caring for.
The care provided to my brother in law since his admission to Rutland house in February this year has been very good. He settled very well and despite the fact that we as his family would rather that he wasn't in care, we are reassured that he is being taken good care of. There are a few areas that we feel could be better managed in an ideal world but sadly we don't live in an ideal world. The staff at Rutland house are worth their weight in gold and we are eternally grateful to them for the care and kindness that they show to our beloved family member. Your patience and kindness is priceless .
Excellent care shown to Mum who has been in the Albion unit for a good few years now. Great communication between staff and family. Mum is very well cared for, hair cut and clean and well fed. Daily activities to keep residents entertained and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are receptive to requests concerning Mum. They are her family when family cannot be there.
The staff are compassionate and caring and work very hard to meet the needs of the elderly people they are looking after in which is a particularly challenging environment.
The care given to my mother at Mill View Care Home has been exemplary. I cannot praise the professionalism of all the staff enough. The home is clean, well-maintained and easy to access. I have no concerns at all.
Love it. Always good. Genuine love and care for those in need and every one of the staff showing concern for those around them. Can't praise them enough.
My sister is being very well cared for and is treated with great dignity and kindness. The staff are very gentle and caring. They answer all of my questions and nothing is too much trouble. My sister tells me the food is very good. Her room is very comfortable.
My wife will shortly have been a resident of Mill View for 12 months. Both my sons and I are very pleased with both the care and attention shown to her during this time. She is very well looked after, and all her family cannot thank all the staff at Mill View for this. With regards.
All staff are very helpful and friendly and cope very well under difficult circumstances.
Generally, the site and grounds around the six various units are tidy, except Rutland House, where the rear areas are very unkempt. The footpaths are dirty and unattended and have become slippery due to surface mould and litter. The once-grassed areas are overgrown with weeds. The residents are relatively unsteady and cannot go to these dangerous outside areas for fear of injury.
My mum spent her last 5 months at Rutland House and we only wish we could have got her a place there sooner. A care home should be judged on the care that is given and we cannot fault how the staff looked after her. They took the time to get to know her and could immediately tell if she was out of sorts. You could tell that they genuinely liked my mum and wanted the best for her. My wife and I visited frequently and were always welcomed warmly. There were always smiles and laughter and we witnessed touching moments of care even when staff didn't realise they were being observed. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Rutland House.
