View Full Details of WellcroftDuring his stay he has always been treated with respect and great care (even when he is difficult). Even the housekeeping staff look after his well-being during their tasks. The activities are usually tailored to the periods he recalls.
All the staff are very helpful. They treat all the residents with dignity and respect.
My review really must be seen. Wellcroft is a dreadful place for your loved ones to be left in. The place smells, residents are humiliated and abused and have their belongings taken from them, my dad was dressed in his deceased wife's clothes and paraded around in women's diamonte glasses - he was 94 years old. The staff do not care you raise a query and they are rude and abusive towards you especially the Senior Carers, the Management Team are completely disrespectful and do not care. Borough Care themselves do not care and ignore any requests for help. My father was completely let down and neglected with regard to Doctors appointments and any health enquiries I raised. I asked for the Doctor to be called on 2 occasions which were both ignored and the Senior said "I was busy and forgot". My dad did not deserve to be treated in the manner in which he was he was a beautiful and kind person with respect for everyone he met. Wellcroft showed him no respect whatsoever.
I have been visiting my friend almost each week since she was placed in your home. I have always found her to be exceptionally well presented. Her clothes beautifully laundered and her hair cut very well. Her room as is the whole home is spotlessly clean and smells fresh and clean. My friend really enjoys her meals which she says are lovely. Regarding my recent visit Monday 13th October it was my friends birthday. The staff were amazing and went to great lengths to make it a real occasion. I feel totally confident that she is receiving the utmost care and would have no hesitation in recommending your home.
My father became a resident of Wellcroft in April and my experience has been very positive of the home. The place is clean and well kept. Most importantly there are an ample number of very good and caring staff who are attentive to my fathers needs. Indeed the many pleasant and helpful staff are a credit to the organisation. I have visited my father several times per week and I have always been aware that he receiving good caring professional help by the Wellcroft team. My father is very dear to me and I am reassured that he is being very well cared for.
Having moved my mum from another care home into Wellcroft in March, I was hoping she would settle in her new surroundings without any stress etc. I didn't need to have worried she settled immediately thanks to the caring staff who made her feel welcome from day 1. I am happy she feels at home at Wellcroft.
My father ended up in hospital, hospital reports neglect by care home.social worker informed, now looking for a care home.who will treat him with dignity and care.new management dismissive when told about hospital doctors and nurses concerns basically couldn't care less.my concerns it will be happening to other residents and the very few good carers there will leave, because they see what is happening.
Wellcroft is a bright well care home and the staff seem to make a considerable effort to treat the residents with respect and affection.
Have dealt very professionally with a couple of issues we have raised over the last 12 months. A particular staff member has been fantastic and very supportive in helping my Mum deal with her mobility deteriorating. I feel my Mum is safe in the care home.
Absolutely great service from all staff. I would recommend people put this place as their first choice. The food is excellent, the residents have plenty of snacks, tea and coffee in between meals and when families are visiting they are offered drinks and snacks. I can't praise the staff enough.
My mum seems as happy as she can be. The carers are friendly, understand my mum's needs and are attentive to those and and are open to me asking a couple of questions now and again. I also like the way Wellcroft do a little a bit extra for things such as recently for Halloween. I understand security is very important, but I wish there was an easier way to get in/out of the building when I visit as sometimes I may be waiting for up to 10 minutes; however I do understand staff are busy and that I tend to call in early evenings when there is less staff about (an idea might be individual passcodes for frequent visitors such as myself, whereby you'd also know when I arrived/left). On the non-care admin side, appreciation to a staff member for her timely assistance when needed.
Since Mum moved into the home in August the care she has received has been good. The staff deserve medals for the job that they do. Our only area of concern is that Mum doesn’t always get the one-to-one attention that she needs when eating her meals. We know this may be difficult at times as there may be a shortage of staff plus other residents as well.
My aunt seems very happy in the Wellcroft and has settled in well. She has her own room but prefers to be in the social areas which are always clean. Whenever I visit, she is clean and tidy. The carers know her well and have adapted to her needs. As a family, we are always welcome.
Great Care Home, they take care of their residents really well. The staff are efficient at communicating any care needs or requirements with key relatives and always put the well being of the resident at the heart of everything they do. My grandma is currently one of their longest residents and is very happy there.
My wife who is suffering with Alzheimer’s has been in Wellcroft since December it’s a nice friendly home, she has a decent room which I was allowed to decorate for her, she also had a picture frame put up which her sister did for her with the family on, the care staff are lovely and nothing seems too much for them, from what I have seen Wellcroft is very well run.
Mum has been a resident at Wellcroft since November 2020. Throughout the time she has been a resident she has received outstanding care from a team of professional staff. The staff know each resident's own particular preferences and adapt their care accordingly. Wellcroft feels like a family and residents are treated as though they are family members. The staff help to support residents' individuality and arrange some lovely visits and one-to-one activities. Mum is extremely happy at Wellcroft and I wouldn't want her to be cared for anywhere else.
My mum moved to Wellcroft 8 months ago and it has been difficult at times for her to adjust and accept, but the care shown to her (and us) has been kind and genuine, respectful and professional. Her physical health is well monitored and she is much better medically than when she went in. I am kept well informed and feel involved and welcomed when we visit. Her friends that visit also comment positively on the care in the home. Thank you.
My husband has recently been moved into Wellcroft, and to date, we have found that he has settled quickly and is being very well cared for. We are advised immediately of any problems and the actions taken. Both my sons and myself could not have asked for better care and attention. Thank you, Wellcroft staff.
I have been very impressed with the actions of the staff at Wellcroft, be it collecting the residents for mealtimes or entertainment. Their patience is to be commended under occasional stressful situations. Every one of them referred to the residents by their name and is genuinely fond of each one.
To all of the staff at Wellcroft, thank you for making the last fourteen months of my mum's life very happy, comfortable and content. The care, compassion and professionalism shown by you all were exceptional and lovely. On many an occasion, Mum would say how kind you all were to her and I know that she would want me to say thank you from her too. I miss seeing you as you were all so welcoming and friendly which made me feel that Mum was in the very best place for her and in the safest of hands. With the greatest respect for you all, thank you.
