My brother has been a resident since July 2024. I would highly recommend Wellcroft to anyone needing care for a relative. From the moment I walk in, the staff are friendly and helpful. The home has lots of activities going on, which is nice to see. The interaction with staff and residents. The home
is always clean, and rooms are comfortable and overall a good size for single residents. It was nice to see a choice at meal times and also come on taster days to try the food.

The recent change of management has been quite noticeable, and I am extremely impressed with the changes that appear to being made. The staff make this place from the fabulous admin, support officer, the cleaners, the carers and the senior management. Mum seems extremely safe and happy, and her needs
are clearly catered for. Love the fact that I'm made to feel part of the family!

I recently visited an elderly friend who is now a resident of Wellcroft and I was immediately impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that you notice as soon as you enter the building. Every single member of staff seemed to be kind and considerate and genuinely appeared to enjoy interacting with
the residents. It felt like one big, happy family.
There were different sitting areas for the residents and these were comfortable and spacious.
I was impressed by the bedrooms, which were clean, fresh and uncrowded.
I found Wellcroft to be a lovely setting, where the residents genuinely seemed to be happy and well cared for.
It was a pleasure to meet members of staff who seemed to be highly skilled and displayed an obvious enjoyment in their interactions with the residents.

I am very happy with the care my Auntie gets and the staff are very good. The home is very clean and her bedroom is comfortable.

My father spent almost twelve months in Wellcroft before his death having spent eighteen months in a more expensive home (of which he couldn't make use of the facilities) and after six months with us after his dementia diagnosis. Moving to Wellcroft was fantastic, the staff are wonderful making his
stay almost as if he was with family. The home is clean, warm froendly with resident treated as individual and with care plans tailored to their needs. The effort the staff put into the Christmas celebrations was incredible. I don't think he could have cared for better.

Both my brother and I are really happy with the care my mum has received since being here. She has not been the easiest resident and I know it has taken her a considerable time to settle, I appreciate her dementia has dramatically increased but she is treated with dignity and has a great relationship
until the carers who looked after her. Overall we are really happy and I know my mum is safe and receiving the best care possible.

I and my family have enjoyed visiting dad, we have always had a warm welcome as if we are part of a big family. All staff are always friendly and happy. We are pleased with dads overall care and he is very happy here. The facilities are all excellent couldn't wish for more. Dads room is always very
clean and his laundry done regularly. All in all everything is excellent knowing dad is the best he can be and is happy at Wellcroft is what matters most to us.

Where to start - this is the most exceptional 'home from home'. The environment is very welcoming, the staff are warm and helpful. The areas are kept spotlessly clean and it smells lovely too. It is obvious that all the staff have been 'selected' to provide a relaxed and comforting ambience to the residents
and visitors. No matter what day or what time I have visited my overall impression is, 'this is somewhere you can entrust your loved ones to be 'cared' for to the highest standard.' My friends room is spotless and she is very happy and relaxed. She said the food is lovely too.

Since mum came to Wellcroft mum has had a reasonable invitation. The staff we have met are very food/friendly and knowledgeable when dealing with mum. She has had a few difficult times but the staff have handled her confidently and with a lot of humour which has helped. ON the whole a positive experience
for Hilda at this most difficult and confusing time for her.

I visit weekly and from entering to leaving the staff are so friendly and efficient. They tend to the residents as though they are their own family. The home is clean throughout with various rooms and a lovely garden area to either share or have privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Overall opinion is good. Not been many activities lately due to having no Alf for a long time but hopefully will improve when new Alf starts. Always kept fully informed of dad's situation. Seniors happy to answer or discuss any issues.

I am pleased that my father is now residing at Wellcroft Care Home. I visit most days and I am impressed with the way the establishment is run. Importantly the staff are ever helpful, caring and extremely professional in undertaking their tasks. It is because of knowing my father is being well looked
after that I can take comfort from him not being at his own home. Wellcroft has become a better environment than he had due to the quality of the people who work there.

My mum has been a resident in Wellcroft over 6 years. She has been very happy here, staff are caring and considerate of her needs, and will always take time to listen to and act upon any family concerns. As her dementia has progressed, appropriate adjustments have been made to support her, and as a

During his stay he has always been treated with respect and great care (even when he is difficult). Even the housekeeping staff look after his well-being during their tasks. The activities are usually tailored to the periods he recalls.

My review really must be seen. Wellcroft is a dreadful place for your loved ones to be left in. The place smells, residents are humiliated and abused and have their belongings taken from them, my dad was dressed in his deceased wife's clothes and paraded around in women's diamonte glasses - he was
94 years old. The staff do not care you raise a query and they are rude and abusive towards you especially the Senior Carers, the Management Team are completely disrespectful and do not care. Borough Care themselves do not care and ignore any requests for help. My father was completely let down and neglected with regard to Doctors appointments and any health enquiries I raised. I asked for the Doctor to be called on 2 occasions which were both ignored and the Senior said "I was busy and forgot". My dad did not deserve to be treated in the manner in which he was he was a beautiful and kind person with respect for everyone he met. Wellcroft showed him no respect whatsoever.

Having moved my mum from another care home into Wellcroft in March, I was hoping she would settle in her new surroundings without any stress etc. I didn't need to have worried she settled immediately thanks to the caring staff who made her feel welcome from day 1. I am happy she feels at home at Wellcroft.

I have been a mental health nurse since 2007 and worked as a Home Manager for the last 3 years.  My last ten years have been working in dementia settings and I love finding out about the residents and how we can look to improve their quality of life on a daily basis.   I am very open and honest and want my home to feel welcoming to residents and also their families.  I find Music and dance can play a massive part in care homes and I love nothing more than joining in a singalong and dance with residents.
