Live life in colour at a Borough Care home.

Borough Care believes that everyone should be encouraged and supported to live their best life, whatever their age, health, or capabilities. Instead of settling into a grey existence, they choose to live life in colour.

In its 12 homes across Stockport and Staffordshire, the incredible life stories and fascinating characters of its residents are respected, admired, and celebrated with activities, friendship, and the freedom to lead fulfilled and valuable lives.

Borough Care prides itself on its flexible approach to caring for all residents. Its experience in supporting people with a wide range of needs and understanding the uniqueness of each individual and their families spans almost three decades.

Borough Care knows that choosing a care home is a big decision and that you need to know that essential care needs are met. That’s why it works with residents and their families to ensure that every person in its care has a Personal Support Plan. This means looking in detail at what’s important to the individual.

Unlike many residential care providers, Borough Care is a not-for-profit, meaning it doesn’t have any shareholders to pay or a need to charge any more than is necessary to provide outstanding care. Instead, Borough Care reinvests in its staff and residents.

When it comes to residents, their personalities are unique, and so too is their care solution. Borough Care takes the time to find out what every person needs and loves, so its teams can deliver the care and support that is personal to them; from the way they like to relax to the way they prefer their toast.

Get in touch, book a tour, and see how your loved one can live their life in colour at a Borough Care home.

Knowing that my father is safe, fed and well cared for removes any anxiety I have about his wellbeing. It's not the cleanest or cosmetically the best place but that does not matter because it's not as important as having great staff with great leadership that have the interests of my father front of
mind. The staff do a fantastic job in what is a very challenging role.

Very pleased with the care my mother receives at Meadway Court in Bramhall. Dementia is not an easy condition to deal with, and the staff always seem bright and cheerful when dealing with all the residents and their different needs. The home is always beautifully decorated for season of the year ie Halloween,
Remembrance Day, Christmas etc. Plenty of activities.

My mum has been in Lisburne Court for five and a half years! Since day one in May 2020, start of covid, she found it easy to adjust. The staff have been very supportive and caring, and nothing is too much trouble! Food is very tasty! Mums room is spacious, clean and practical. Any problems and the staff/
management are happy to help.
Activities are amazing and varied and aimed for all abilities. The facilitator at Lisburne, Laura, is fantastic!
Reply from Hayley Weston, Manager at Lisburne CourtThank you for your kind words, we love looking after your mum and she is definitely part of the Lisburne family, I will pass your comments onto the staff and to Laura.

I am very happy with the way Joan is being looked after. The staff seem very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately I cannot mark "activities" higher because Joan is unable to participate in any of them. Also food is difficult to assess because she can hardly eat anything. It is a pity that Joan cannot
be raised up on a hoist so she can meet people. Christmas is going to be a very sad time for her.
Reply from Neil Hooley, Care Home Manager at Shoemaker PlaceThank you for your review, and I hope that now that your wife has been with us for a couple of weeks, you are pleased with the progress we have made. She has been able to spend more time out of bed for the first time in several weeks, and has been engaged with some of the other residents and the activities that have been going on. We have further ambition to support her to access the church service in the home in the next couple of months. Thank you again.

Mum has settled well at Shoemaker Place, and the staff have gone out of their way to ensure her needs are met. They also show they want her to be comfortable and happy in her new home. She enjoys the activities, and the staff do well making sure they help and make allowances for her deteriorating eye
sight.
She seems very contented.

I was most impressed with my first visit to my mother. The Doctor and the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to both our (I visited with my daughter) and my mother's needs, relating much useful information to myself and my daughter. My mother appeared very happy and had bathed and changed which
is something we had not managed to successful assist her with. We were in all areas most impressed.

Lovely Care Home, the Best Ive seen.
Ive Been visiting my father for 9 years and watched this home grow and grow into a very caring environment for all the residents. The level of care and the setting especially in the last 2 years is commendable. The commitment from staff is lovely to see, accompanied
by compassionate senior care staff then topped with super deputy staff day and night, along with the manager, is second to none. All very caring and happy to help at any time.
Its a very safe place with locked safety doors that only staff can use with codes ensuring safety at every level.
The cleanliness is exceptional with in house managed laundry system.
The food is beautiful catering for all required needs.
Entertainment is lovely, focused on singers, arts and crafts along with trips out to shows, cinema, coffee mornings, exercises, pampering sessions.
Beautiful gardens with benches and flowers in the summer.
I wouldn't want my father anywhere else.
He is so cared for and loved.

I have been visiting my friend almost each week since she was placed in your home. I have always found her to be exceptionally well presented. Her clothes beautifully laundered and her hair cut very well. Her room as is the whole home is spotlessly clean and smells fresh and clean. My friend really
enjoys her meals which she says are lovely. Regarding my recent visit Monday 13th October it was my friends birthday. The staff were amazing and went to great lengths to make it a real occasion. I feel totally confident that she is receiving the utmost care and would have no hesitation in recommending your home.

Although mum wasn't at Reinbek very long, we all felt the warmth and care given to her. The rooms - individual and communal - were clean and well cared for; she was encouraged to participate in group activities, but also given the privacy she wanted; food was good; staff were local and kind. Mum wasn't
mobile, but personal attention was always provided. She was treated with respect and her concerns were taken seriously, by staff at all levels. Kind people. We couldn't have wished for a better final home for her.

Dad has just recently come to Meadway Court, and we visited for the first time this weekend. It was his birthday and the staff put on a splendid afternoon tea for us. Every member of staff we met over our three-day visit were amazing. They have got to know Dad in a short space of time, and they all
care for him extremely well. Nothing is too much trouble. Dad is blind and needs extra help with many things. They are always cheerful. Dad seems very comfortable and relaxed, and has nothing but good things to say of Meadway Court.

This has got to be the best care home in Stockport. We were so worried about our Aunty Elaine going into care, however, we need not have been. This is such a happy place, with lots going on for the residents. The staff are exceptional and take great care with everyone who lives there. There is music
if you want to dance, there are quiet areas if you want peace, there is even a cinema room, a hair salon, and a French Style Cafe Room. We are so happy she is here, her room is kept spotless and we feel good in the knowledge that she is very well cared for. Thank you Silverdale!

My sister is very frail with complex needs and medical issues and also has mild learning difficulties. She needs 24 hour care now due to being a sever falls risk. From the minute she went to Cawood House she was made welcome by the lovely manager and her caring staff team. There is a happy, friendly
and relaxed atmosphere at Cawood. The staff provide excellent care 24/7. My sister has her own individual care plan which was shown to us, highlighting all her needs and requirements and demonstrating that all her needs are met. She is very happy and settled at Cawood House. Highly recommend.
