Bamford isn't just a home for grandma. it's a place of comfort, for me its become a place of gratitude.

Bamford Close is A good care home good staff and wonderfull care home excellent location on bus route etc plus parking bays etc. happy my mum is in Bamford Close and is taken care off. Mum has been a resident since (Nov 2022).

Always met by pleasant staff and made to feel welcome

The whole experience for me and my mum has been outstanding in every aspect which is reflected in the ratings.

My mum has been in Wellcroft since August 2026, a difficult time for my mum and family. However she soon settled in. Sam on reception is exceptional and helped me through all the necessities, clothes tagging etc. Since January 2026 there has been a big change in the home. Corinna has made a huge difference since being promoted to manager. A new ALF, Jenny has also made a huge difference to the feel of the home, with singing, music and lots of activities, and invaluable has been the 1:1 time with residents.. Corinna the 'new' manager and Ed, deputy are both amazing, working towards their management training whilst working full time. Thank you both. All the staff are helpful and friendly. When I've visited staff have popped their heads around the door like family, calling my mum Aunty Iris which she loves. The meals are great with a chso pleased Wellcroft accepted my mum. She is well cared for and safe. It means so much. Thank you.

Prior to going into residential care my dad was in and out of hospital, stopped being able to look after himself and had become depressed with life. Since he has been a resident at Bryn Haven he has regained his zest for life. He is extremely well looked after - nothing is too much trouble for the carers. It is a clean bright and peaceful environment. There are activities for the residents to get involved with and a beautiful garden to sit in. He is extremely well fed and really enjoys his meals there which is evident in that he has put weight on. He doesnt have dementia but he does chat to the dementia patients and he interacts with the carers who always treat him with care and respect. He has been a resident since November 2025. He feels safe at Bryn Haven and I feel he is safe and content there. I feel that becoming a resident in Bryn Haven has given my dad a new lease of life - I couldnt be happier that my dad is there.

This carehome is a community within the local community. People speak very highly of the standards and caring offered. I have had no hesitation in recommending Silverdale to others who have been searching for their relatives when looking for advice.

Further to my last review, may I reiterate the wonderful care my relative has received. The recent change in management has been significant to the improvements in communication, activities and general enhancement of the surroundings during my mums lastest illness. I cannot describe the compassion shown to me and my family. I'm fully hugged out. Thank you.

My nanna is happy and comfortable at Silverdale, she loves the carers and the endless amount of hot chocolate they provide her! As a family we can relax knowing she is safe and happy.

My mother's room is always clean and smells lovely the cleaning staff do an amazing job

And that was over 2 years ago. The staff are amazing. very person centred. Caring .its such a brilliant place. the people who live there are very much cared for and it couldn't be better..as soon as you walk in from the reseption you are greeted with a smile and nothing is to much trouble..the support staff are always helpful..and care for my mum so well

My dad moved to Meadway a few months ago. He has required a lot of support in terms of the adjustment and his progression of dementia, and the staff at Meadway have been really pro-active and professional with this, working with secondary care teams to support him as needed. This has not been an easy process and the staff have been really committed to helping him. He is now starting to be much more settled, and appears much happier. Staff are very friendly, kind, and compassionate. He enjoys the food and the sessions where singers come in. I am really glad we chose Meadway for him.

I am extremely impressed with the care that my wife has at Meadway Court. The carers are kind, thoughtful and considerate towards my wife's needs . Not only do they look after my wife, they treat me with friendliness and professionalism when I visit. I am extremely grateful for all they do for my wife, myself and the rest of my family.

The home provides activities for the residents and actively encourages them to join in for example Mum enjoyed making a pizza the other afternoon. The staff also take the residents out to certain events. The home also holds a resident meeting every month where it can be helpful to meet other residents family members so that we can share stories about this awful condition.

When my sister first moved to Meadway Court I was worried she wouldn't settle, it was all new for her but the staff were very kind and helpful and reassured me. She loves it now and it's so good to see her happy and well cared for, she's even had a day out! Well done to all the staff.

My husband has been at Meadway for almost three years. During that time, I cannot fault the care that has been provided. Many of the staff have been there in all that time which is, in itself, testament to the environment. Positivity and genuine kindness and understanding by the staff, of each resident and to each other, is a real strength of the home. Our daughters and I feel very comfortable visiting at any time of the day and always made to feel welcome. Staff know Richard well and know how to get the best out of him despite his Alzheimer's.

I always feel confident when I call to see my wife Patricia that she is being well looked after. I find the staff very thoughtful, kind, and always interested in my questions regarding my wife, as I say, I always feel confident in the staff at the home

Staff are generally visible, friendly and caring. Communication with staff is generally good, positive, clear and visible. Some staff less so. Where this is the case communication with residents and visitors can be difficult. Some staff are brilliant and proactive and genuinely interested in delivering a person centred service, some less so, but I think that's the case in many care homes. Mum appears to be happy, safe and well. She regularly takes part in activities and is kept occupied. Her room is compact but functional and clean and tidy. Her room is personal to her with photos on the walls etc. The food is made fresh on-site and does the job. Mum is pampered and has her nails, hair and feet done regularly. She feels looked after and pampered. Meadway is in a great central location in the village centre. The main thing is mum is happy, safe and well which makes me happy.
