Review of Bamford Close from Laura T (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
It is hard to put into words what Bamford has given me. They don't just look after my grandma - they love her. Every single member of staff show levels of kindness, patience and go far beyond duty. The minute you walk in, its a place where people genuinely care.
They notice the small things that matter, They listen, they comfort on her difficult days. Treated with dignity warmth and gentleness, she is surrounded by people who see her as a person, not a task.

Bamford isn't just a home for grandma. it's a place of comfort, for me its become a place of gratitude.

Review of Wellcroft from C M (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum has been in Wellcroft since August 2026, a difficult time for my mum and family. However she soon settled in. Sam on reception is exceptional and helped me through all the necessities, clothes tagging etc. Since January 2026 there has been a big change in the home. Corinna has made a huge difference since being promoted to manager. A new ALF, Jenny has also made a huge difference to the feel of the home, with singing, music and lots of activities, and invaluable has been the 1:1 time with residents.. Corinna the 'new' manager and Ed, deputy are both amazing, working towards their management training whilst working full time. Thank you both. All the staff are helpful and friendly. When I've visited staff have popped their heads around the door like family, calling my mum Aunty Iris which she loves. The meals are great with a chso pleased Wellcroft accepted my mum. She is well cared for and safe. It means so much. Thank you.

Review of Bryn Haven from Jane H (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Prior to going into residential care my dad was in and out of hospital, stopped being able to look after himself and had become depressed with life. Since he has been a resident at Bryn Haven he has regained his zest for life. He is extremely well looked after - nothing is too much trouble for the carers. It is a clean bright and peaceful environment. There are activities for the residents to get involved with and a beautiful garden to sit in. He is extremely well fed and really enjoys his meals there which is evident in that he has put weight on. He doesnt have dementia but he does chat to the dementia patients and he interacts with the carers who always treat him with care and respect. He has been a resident since November 2025. He feels safe at Bryn Haven and I feel he is safe and content there. I feel that becoming a resident in Bryn Haven has given my dad a new lease of life - I couldnt be happier that my dad is there.

Reply from Amanda Cumstom, Home Manager at Bryn Haven

Further to my last review, may I reiterate the wonderful care my relative has received. The recent change in management has been significant to the improvements in communication, activities and general enhancement of the surroundings during my mums lastest illness. I cannot describe the compassion shown to me and my family. I'm fully hugged out. Thank you.

Review of Meadway Court from Helen E (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My dad moved to Meadway a few months ago. He has required a lot of support in terms of the adjustment and his progression of dementia, and the staff at Meadway have been really pro-active and professional with this, working with secondary care teams to support him as needed. This has not been an easy process and the staff have been really committed to helping him. He is now starting to be much more settled, and appears much happier. Staff are very friendly, kind, and compassionate. He enjoys the food and the sessions where singers come in. I am really glad we chose Meadway for him.

Reply from Louise Yarker, Meadway Court Manager at Meadway Court

We know that moving into a care home and adjusting to the progression of dementia can be a difficult journey, so we're delighted that your dad is now feeling happier and more settled. Overall Experience
My Mother is a resident of Meadway Borough Care Home in Bramhall. As a family we are all very pleased with the care my Mother receives. As my Mother has dementia the disease can make her difficult and the staff are amazing at dealing with her moods. We think the staff deserve recognition for the way they handle Mum who I have seen been rude and uncooperative with staff members when they are only trying to help her with her personal care.
The home is kept very clean and beautifully decorated around the certain times of the year for example Valentines day, Halloween, VE day, Christmas ect.

The home provides activities for the residents and actively encourages them to join in for example Mum enjoyed making a pizza the other afternoon. The staff also take the residents out to certain events. The home also holds a resident meeting every month where it can be helpful to meet other residents family members so that we can share stories about this awful condition.

Reply from Louise Yarker, Meadway Court Manager at Meadway Court

Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely review. We're really pleased to hear that you and your family are happy with the care your mum receives at Meadway Court. Review of Meadway Court from Rachel K (Wife of Resident) published on 15 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My husband has been at Meadway for almost three years. During that time, I cannot fault the care that has been provided. Many of the staff have been there in all that time which is, in itself, testament to the environment. Positivity and genuine kindness and understanding by the staff, of each resident and to each other, is a real strength of the home. Our daughters and I feel very comfortable visiting at any time of the day and always made to feel welcome. Staff know Richard well and know how to get the best out of him despite his Alzheimer's.

Review of Bruce Lodge from Brenda S (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 11 June 2026 Submitted via Website

I come here a few times a week with my husband visiting my brother in law.
I find the staff are very peasant, helpful and show lots of care for the residents.
The whole place is always kept so well clean including the residents rooms, lounges corridors etc.
There seems to be a lot of activities going on in the lounges, such as singers etc.
The gardens are kept in lovely condition for the nice weather for residents and families to share together.

I would definitely recommend Bruce Lodge.

I visit several times a week and have done for many years.
I've always found the home to be very good and has even improved more so in the last few years.
The staff are freindly, approachable and caring towards the residents.
My brother is well looked after and the staff are very kind to him and make us welcome also. His room is lovely and the cleaning staff do a great job. The whole home is spotless including lounges etc.
The food is excellent for all residents including the ones on special diets.
The management team and the carers have shown great suppot for my brother in ties of need which is very well appreciated.

I feel relaxed knowing the staff will look after him well and would always recommend Bruce Lodge and it's staff.

Review of Meadway Court from Stephen C (Son of Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Staff are generally visible, friendly and caring. Communication with staff is generally good, positive, clear and visible. Some staff less so. Where this is the case communication with residents and visitors can be difficult. Some staff are brilliant and proactive and genuinely interested in delivering a person centred service, some less so, but I think that's the case in many care homes. Mum appears to be happy, safe and well. She regularly takes part in activities and is kept occupied. Her room is compact but functional and clean and tidy. Her room is personal to her with photos on the walls etc. The food is made fresh on-site and does the job. Mum is pampered and has her nails, hair and feet done regularly. She feels looked after and pampered. Meadway is in a great central location in the village centre. The main thing is mum is happy, safe and well which makes me happy.
