I have been happy with Silvercare although my friend has been a resident only a month.
It's bright, clean and the activity organiser is very good.
I know staff are always under pressure with their workload, but I would like more effort to be made in getting my friend out of bed before 11:30-12noon
in time for lunch!

Mum moved into Silverdale 4 months ago and I'm delighted that she now seems settled having made an association that her room is now her new home. Her physical health has improved considerably. She is eating and drinking better and some interest in food has returned. Whilst she is still hard to get
up in the morning the staff have encouraged a routine which suits her and she is benefitting from improved sleep. She was reluctant to join in at first but with gentle encouragement now seems to be enjoying the company of other residents and some of the activities. The home is warm, clean and inviting. It has a cosy homely feel, and the seasonal decorations keep interest and are very attractive. The staff seem generally kind and interested in the residents and their wellbeing. The management however are exceptional. Their commitment to the residents in their care is evident in all aspects at Silverdale. Arranging flowers for mum to give to her granddaughter on her engagement was exceptionally thoughtful and appreciated. They have made a difficult transition easier than I could have ever dared hope and all our family are extremely grateful.

I can honestly say that the care that she has received during this tme has been exemplary. The staff are friendly ,caring and professional , always ready to help when asked.
They make what is a
difficult situation bearable.
My mother has always loved music and .dancing , and the sight of her smiling as she dances along to the singers who are regularly invited is heart warming .
Thank you for all you have done for my mother over the years.

Mum has been a resident at Silverdale since September 2024. Mum has a complex medical history & cultural needs, however, from her first day Mum settled in very well. Mums care throughout has been outstanding. All the staff, at all levels, are so caring, happy, supportive, dedicated, undertstanding
and considerate. This is clearly evident fromthe smiling faces of all the residents every time I visit. Mum's medical, cultural & personal needs are all met to a high standard. Unfortunately Mum lost her eye just a few months after moving into Silverdale. There are no words to describe the care & support Mum and I received at this very difficult time. I am very grateful to Silverdale for all the support, love & care they give to all of us. They are our Silverdale family. Thank you Silverdale.

activities are available for those who want them. Xmas and the lead up were fantastic, thank you.

It's hard to find a care home for a loved one especially at an emotional time but as soon as we walked into Silverdale we knew we had found a lovely new home for our mum,it just had a nice feeling. The staff were so welcoming ,it was spotlessly clean and ,it smelt fresh. They did not know we were
calling so it wasn't just for show, the staff were interacting with the residents which was lovely to see.Our mum always said she would nt ever go in a home but she is so happy there, she s always been a loner but we see a remarkable difference in her ,she interacts as and when she chooses ,if she wants to be in her room they knock on the door just to check she s ok and happy. She s allowed her possessions around her and it makes it home from home.As a family we are so happy that she is content and we ask her each visit if she s happy to be there and she always says yes and she would say if she wasn't!!

My sister went into Silverdale about 9 months ago. She was very timid, scared and extremely frail, but since she has been here, she has thrived, she's a lot more confident, and has improved her well being and put weight on. This is very important to me and my sisters as she feels safe and secure,
and she certainly feels like it's a home, and there are lots of activities to keep her active and happy. She loves it here.

My mum from hospital was diagnosed as needing to be in full time care. I fought for her to be given a place at Silverdale. Eventually, with a top up agreed, we were given a room. It is the best news we had, so happy the staff are truly amazing, from all departments and run superbly, which reflects
in all my tick/x's. There is nothing too much trouble, and my mum is safe and well cared for, which is fantastic.

One of the hardest emotional parts of my life was accepting that my mother had to move to a care home due to her dementia. At the beginning of her time there, it was wonderful to see her making friends and causing mischief for the staff by going into the manager's office and stealing their sweets.
Over the months my mother's condition declined to the point where she lives in her own world not really knowing anyone of her children. It's got to the point where the weekly visits turned into every couple of months, but I know she is being looked after at Silverdale. I have no doubts that they can look after her better than I could have done. It's still hard to visit her and not see the person she was, but she is a happy old woman amongst people who can take care of her very well.
