I would not hesitate to recommend the Maple Memory Centre at Brandon Park for your loved one. My mum has been a resident for over 12 months now and staff go out of their way to make her feel happy, safe and loved. The staff are fantastic.

I am very happy with the care and assistance that Brian receives. Although September and October have been difficult for Brian the staff and management have help Brian and family in helping Brian to settle again. Management and care providers have been proactive in discussing Brian's wellbeing and
hints to help moving forward.

Brandon Park Summer Fete + Dog Show
A joyous 2 day event raising money for resident outings in the year. Open to the residents, staff, their families, friends and general public. Music, entertainment, competitions, food - everything included to make the residents feel involved whatever their
ability. A fun way to encourage the interaction of all. Well done to all those who put the hard work in to make it such a successful event.

Dad passed away in hospital in June 2024. Both parents had been residents at Brandon Park since December 2019 (Mum), January 2020 (Dad).
Within days of Dad's 2020 arrival, both parents were moved to a lovely double room to share, where their different and complex medical/health needs were met with
utmost care and dignity.
After Dad's passing, the compassion and sensitive understanding shown was absolutely first-rate! The care shown by the Brandon Park "family", from director-level to carers at every level, we couldn't have been better cared for. Not said at all lightly, they all feel like an extension of our caring, warm family.
Mum's deteriorating vascular dementia was worsened by the upset of losing Dad; her husband, best friend and partner of almost 65 years. When Mum needed to be moved to a smaller, single room, it was handled with such caring sensitivity, forethought, kindness, compassion and grace that cannot be faulted.
Thank you so much!

The home administrator at Brandon Park organised a fantastic trip to the pantomime. I was able to sit with Dad on the bus which accommodated his wheelchair. This trip allowed him to get out of a social event and also to see the countryside on the way up. He very much enjoyed the trip out and is
looking forward to future trips to the seaside etc.

Enthusiasm, energy, inclusivity of the activities team is the daily highlight in this home. Activities of what may be going on in the activities room has got my dad up daily and engaged. Events in the calendar are marked and planned for well in advance, with all residents making, cutting, painting -
all responsible for the final effect - stow in the snow at Brandon Park is truly impressive!

Every time I visited my aunties I have been warmed by the tentative care they are receiving. Every effort is made to ensure they were comfortable and given the chance to join in with activities that are taking place. The team are full of energy and always keeping people upbeat. It is lovely to see
my relatives smile again.

Since mum moved here from another nursing home in September, we have realised how a good nursing home should be. Mum is happy, very well cared for and stimulated with a wonderful activities team. We no longer worry that she isn't being looked after properly. The staff are lovely, always cheerful and
love mum's cheeky nature. Mum couldn't be in a better place.

My mother has been resident here for 16 months now and I am extremely happy and pleased with the care she receives. It was a very difficult decision for mum to go into a care home, but the carers and staff have all been wonderful and have put my mind at rest. There is always plenty of activities
going on for all of the residents. I can't fault the care that mum gets.

Overall experience is positive. General support is good with certain individuals providing excellent support. Questions remain regarding the menu for the tea meal.

My mother has been cared for in the home for 18 months. The staff who care for my mother are very friendly and professional, and look after my mother's every need. The activities laid on by the activities team are varied and entertaining, and enjoyed greatly by the residents. It is a place of
happiness and safety for the residents.
17 January 2025
On our last 2 visits we have been invited to join in organised activities which proved to be very beneficial for the residents and enjoyable for all concerned. One staff member in particular deserves particular mention as she has a superb rapport with the residents and has a way with her that is
both professional and patient whilst being encouraging and empathetic. Altogether a very positive experience.

I have been attending Brandon Park Nursing Home for the past nine years, visiting my late brother and sister-in-law and now a dear friend. All management, staff, carers and cleaners are very friendly and welcoming. The foyer always looks splendid and certain main events of the year have displays
helped by the residents who attend the activity classes. At the moment, a super one for Halloween. Keep the good work up!

After almost three years of weekly visits to my elderly friend at Brandon Park, I still leave in the reassurance that she is happy, settled, stimulated and cared for in a safe, comfortable environment. Her carers are kind, helpful and compassionate. Everyone is always ready to assist, giving her
independence as well as support. I look forward to my visits with her in this "caring" care home, to which she says: "work so hard to make her days special".

Have visited my friend every week for the last 7 years as well as treatment to my brother in law and found staff and up keep very good. Always someone cleaning and staff very friendly to patients, nurse on hand at all times. The activities staff is a lovely person always smiling. Brandon Park is a
lovely building with well kept gardens and upkeep.

I thought Brandon was going to be my husband's only nursing home how wrong was I. A warning your relative can be given 28-days notice to vacate the home anytime. Obviously, profits are more important than the residents. The majority of the staff are excellent with a few individuals letting the home
down. Management does not communicate with their staff and relatives. Communication and leadership require updating. Nutrition needs improvement and staff need to be educated. It is not appropriate to allow someone to go from 82.5kg to 62.5kg in 8 1/2 months. On speaking to the GP reference weight loss did his nutritional intake and weight gain improve yet 5 weeks previous when I spoke to management it was not acted upon or if they did it was not communicated. Knowing a resident is a diabetic why give biscuits, cake with their cups of tea resulting in high blood sugars which had an impact on his behaviour. A verbal and written handover to the new home had incorrect medical conditions which could have resulted in harm.

The eighteen months that Dad spent at Brandon Park were filled with such extraordinary levels of care and support that my sister and I will be forever grateful.
Dad's overall health deteriorated gradually over the months and his ability to communicate with us declined as a result. What was always
obvious was his level of comfort from seeing kind, friendly faces whenever the carers attended to him in our presence.
It was lovely to see pictures of Dad engaging with staff and other residents in a variety of activities. His love of music was well supported, as were his new-found skills as a baker.
As a family, we could not have asked more from the home, its staff or the community it created in challenging times for Dad and ourselves.
