My Uncle is very unwell and has been fortunate enough to be placed at Brandon Park. The level of care and consideration he receives has been beyond expectations, and the air of calm at the home is incredible.

As his family is all based overseas it has been very hard for us to be away from him at this time, and knowing he is in such safe hands is a real comfort. I cannot overstate the quality of the care and the warm, supportive nature of the whole team. We visited in July and have been so impressed and grateful to see him in this environment as such a hard time. I could not recommend Brandon Park more highly.

My wife has P S P which I know is hard to deal with but as soon as we stepped foot in the nursing home we felt a sense of professionalism. All the staff seemed happy and approachable and they soon had us settled in. The grounds and buildings are very pleasant and parking and access easy. I am thinking of extending the booked respite as I am pleased with the start of my wife's stay. Please keep up this fine work.

I recently had an excellent week of respite at Brandon Park.
The staff were all very kind and cheerful and helpful, and I was very comfortable.

The ambience of the home was of warmth and pleasantness, my visitors remarked on this. The help with the bath was excellent, and a treat as a usual constant shower room user. The shower room pump had a few hiccups, but was promptly being reviewed, the room itself was very good and spacious.

My mum lived at Brandon Park Maple Memory Centre for eighteen months.
She settled really quickly, the staff gave a level of support which was appropriate for her changing and variable needs.
Mum was happy, engaged in the social activities offered by the staff.
She was offered food to her taste.
The staff really understand dementia and communicated well with all residents.
We as a family were always welcome at the memory centre included in decision making and kept well informed of any changes.
Mum died in the memory centre in Oct 25.
End of life care was perfect, enabling mum to die in her preferred place.
Staff at the home respected mum and our wishes.

Thank you to all the staff at Brandon for their support of both mum and us as a family.

Brandon Park Summer Fete + Dog Show

A joyous 2 day event raising money for resident outings in the year. Open to the residents, staff, their families, friends and general public. Music, entertainment, competitions, food - everything included to make the residents feel involved whatever their ability. A fun way to encourage the interaction of all. Well done to all those who put the hard work in to make it such a successful event.

Dad passed away in hospital in June 2024. Both parents had been residents at Brandon Park since December 2019 (Mum), January 2020 (Dad).
Within days of Dad's 2020 arrival, both parents were moved to a lovely double room to share, where their different and complex medical/health needs were met with utmost care and dignity.
After Dad's passing, the compassion and sensitive understanding shown was absolutely first-rate! The care shown by the Brandon Park "family", from director-level to carers at every level, we couldn't have been better cared for. Not said at all lightly, they all feel like an extension of our caring, warm family.
Mum's deteriorating vascular dementia was worsened by the upset of losing Dad; her husband, best friend and partner of almost 65 years. When Mum needed to be moved to a smaller, single room, it was handled with such caring sensitivity, forethought, kindness, compassion and grace that cannot be faulted.

Thank you so much!

The home administrator at Brandon Park organised a fantastic trip to the pantomime. I was able to sit with Dad on the bus which accommodated his wheelchair. This trip allowed him to get out of a social event and also to see the countryside on the way up. He very much enjoyed the trip out and is looking forward to future trips to the seaside etc.

Enthusiasm, energy, inclusivity of the activities team is the daily highlight in this home. Activities of what may be going on in the activities room has got my dad up daily and engaged. Events in the calendar are marked and planned for well in advance, with all residents making, cutting, painting - all responsible for the final effect - stow in the snow at Brandon Park is truly impressive!

Since mum moved here from another nursing home in September, we have realised how a good nursing home should be. Mum is happy, very well cared for and stimulated with a wonderful activities team. We no longer worry that she isn't being looked after properly. The staff are lovely, always cheerful and love mum's cheeky nature. Mum couldn't be in a better place.

My mother has been resident here for 16 months now and I am extremely happy and pleased with the care she receives. It was a very difficult decision for mum to go into a care home, but the carers and staff have all been wonderful and have put my mind at rest. There is always plenty of activities going on for all of the residents. I can't fault the care that mum gets.

On our last 2 visits we have been invited to join in organised activities which proved to be very beneficial for the residents and enjoyable for all concerned. I have been attending Brandon Park Nursing Home for the past nine years, visiting my late brother and sister-in-law and now a dear friend. All management, staff, carers and cleaners are very friendly and welcoming. The foyer always looks splendid and certain main events of the year have displays helped by the residents who attend the activity classes. At the moment, a super one for Halloween. Keep the good work up!
