Mu has been at Yew Tree Lodge for about 7 years now, and we are very happy with the care provided. Staff are all approachable, Mum loves all of them like family, and the staff honestly do care about the residents, not just look after them.
Food is always good, home cooked meals, not beige rubbish.
Plenty of cold drinks, tea & biscuits on hand thru the day.
No complaints at all from me or the family, we're happy because Mum is happy & cared for.

The staff are very caring and passionate. They take great care of my mum.
Sometimes they are short staffed and it puts the others under pressure.
I always feel welcome when visiting and have a lovely relationship with the staff.

There are a range of activities undertaken daily that are inclusive. There are visiting animals, trips outside of the care home and creative crafts. Dad loves listening to music and has his radio, a set of programmed headphones as well as the events that include professional musicians/singers.
The
staff are friendly, compassionate and respectful. I am regularly updated on changes and issues related to dads care.

Mum is safe, warm, clean, well-fed and treated with respect, which brings happiness to not only her, but her family. The staff are patient, genuinely care and do their best for the residents. Mum's room is kept immaculate as are her clothes - bravo to the cleaning staff.

My mother has only been a resident for the last couple of months. Putting my mum into care was a general worry as well as a mental worry. However, after visiting Yew Tree and now seeing my mum at the cottage, it has brought so much relief and contentment. The staff are beyond carers, they've become
friends of the family and I cannot ask for more. I have so much more that I can say and express and it would all be positive.

When mum came to Yew Tree Lodge, in July 2025 she was highly agitated, nervous and lacking in confidence. Some four months later, she is well adjusted and smiling. This is all thanks to a vert dedicated team who are kind and caring. They are all professional- all of them- and I am safe in the
knowledge that mum is in the best place, receiving excellent 24/7 care. Thank you all at Yew Tree Lodge. You are appreciated.

I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. My father receives excellent care from skilled people who like, respect and understand him. He has a spacious, well appointed room which is always clean and welcoming. The home is decorated nicely and has homely touches which add to the friendly
relaxing atmosphere. The food is very good and there are always refreshments available. The staff are very responsive and approachable and they are always keen to help and to go the extra mile.
In terms of activities, there is always something going on, from trips out, to arts and crafts and visits including lovely therapy dogs. There are regular parties and always a special mention on residents birthdays. The photo board shows that each person is valued and included. My father is happy at Yew Tree Lodge and feels comfortable to be himself because he feels at home here.

I regard this care home as an excellent 'hotel.' I have a very nice room to retire to. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have a room with a large cupboard for my clothes, and a big set of drawers for magazines and some clothes. I am in short, a "happy old man."

The home looks after my mum in a very professional and caring way. The staff are well trained and caring. Any issues are dealt with immediately, and I cannot recommend them more.
Where the home fails is the condition of the bathrooms and toilets. Although they are very clean, they are old and worn
out. They desperately need an overhaul. The staff already fundraise as much as they can, but the owner needs to step up and make this home the best it can be.

My experience of Yew Tree Lodge as the daughter or a resident who went in just before Covid hit and lockdown happened, my dad was loved and cherished by the staff when I wasn't allowed to see him. They nursed him back to health so many times over the years, but when it was close to Dad's passing, I
couldn't have asked for more care, respect and dignity shown to my dad and his family.

My mum has been at Yew Tree Lodge for six months now, going into care at a difficult time; staff worked really hard to make her welcome. Her room was redecorated for her, and she has her own w/c and sitting area. We were encouraged to bring as much of her own things in as she would want to help her
feel at home. She has found it hard to settle in, but that is more to do with her needs than the home, and she is getting there with help from staff and family.

My aunt lived at Yew Tree Lodge for 4 years, but sadly passed away on 30th December 2018. She had dementia which progressively got worse during that time. I visited her regularly and on each visit, I found she was well cared for, always clean and well dressed and the staff always added little
touches like jewellery and painted nails. She appeared happy in her own world and the staff always fed her with appetising food even when she had problems swallowing. The staff were very caring and friendly and worked so hard, sometimes under difficult situations. There were a few that went the extra mile and made her years there as happy as they could. It was sad to see dementia take over but I know she couldn't have been in a better place.

Yew Tree Lodge is such a special home. The wonderful staff looked after our special Auntie and took the pain away from her being held in a home. It was a home, though her new home, where she would be loved and cared for. They supply lots of special parties, they make sure the clients are dressed
nicely, have their nails painted, hair done and fresh food daily. Those who visit get offered a cup of tea. And we don't have to worry at all if she is looked after. Thank you to all of you for looking after Auntie.

25 January 2016
My mother stayed at Yew Tree Lodge until she became very poorly and had to go into palliative care. During the time my mother stayed at Yew Tree Lodge the level of care she received was of a very high standard. All staff were always polite and very professional and the management team were always
very helpful and approachable. My mother passed away on July 16th 2015. As sad as it was I will always be very grateful that the final months were at Yew Tree Lodge.
