View Full Details of Ashbrook Nursing HomeWhen ever I have visited the care home I found that all the residents are well cared for.
Very satisfied.
My dad has settled into the home and appears well cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful. Special mention to receptionist and care coordinator. Rooms spacious and clean.
Excellent service provided by all carers, nurses and all other staff.
My father is cared for extremely well. Every member of staff is excellent, they are kind, caring and do an exemplary job. We are very pleased that our father is at Ashbrook.
My father became unwell in the home, carers and nurses were very diligent, checking on him. He was admitted into hospital, and I was called regularly by staff checking on his progress. When he returned to the home, the staff were amazing, again, checking on him and caring for his needs and supporting him and myself. Thank you to all the team on every level.
When I visit my Mum she always seems happy and her room is clean and tidy and my Mum always looks nicely dressed and she gets nice meals and the staff are nice and friendly and always willing to help if it is needed.
All very caring, clean and professional. e
From the experience I've had visiting other nursing homes from what I have seen when I visit Ashbrook. They are hard to beat. Bonnie is my sister-in-law and I could not wish better that could follow the love and care of her husband john.
My dad is so happy and very well looked after. It is very obvious the great bond he has built up with the care staff. Every time I come to visit Dad he is in great spirits.
It is always very enjoyable to come and visit, the staff are very welcoming and treat the residents with kindness and respect. It's clean, bright, and there's always a happy atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to make sure the residents have everything they need and they are always ready with a smile.
As usual, the staff are lovely, although not enough. The area is clean, but the food is poor.
All the staff are excellent. Home is very clean, very pleased with my mother's care.
Mum is very happy here. All staff are very helpful, friendly and very good activities for all residents. Mum calls all the staff her friends and is always saying "how good they are to her and so helpful", that is normally the 1st thing she says when I arrive to visit her. I am very happy she is here, as I know she is always looked after very well.
Everyone has been good. Everyone was very helpful and caring for dad.
My friend has been in for some time now, overall, the care she gets is good. I know the staff are pushed to the limit in the way of "not enough staff". All the staff are friendly and polite, and most of them get on well with the residents. The only thing I would change, and I appreciate it is difficult, but I do believe more staff is needed.
My wife has been in Ashbrook for a year. As a regular visitor, I can say that in the unit she is in, the staff are always attentive. Activities are varied, and when possible, my wife is encouraged to join in. When she was first admitted, I was concerned she would not eat the food supplied. I need not have worried, she enjoys the midday meals, and therefore I think she enjoys breakfast and supper. Being on the lower ground floor, she has immediate access to both gardens, which allows her some outside exercise and fresh air. All in all, I am well satisfied with the home.
The management team were excellent, helping with the process of getting my Dad into Ashbrook. All the staff are very welcoming. Dad prefers Ashbrook to his previous home. Hyacinth and Aneta are very helpful and cheery. Heidi is always welcoming at reception.
My then 81 year old mum was submitted in Feb. When I visited a few days later to my horror I found mum with a horrendous black eye and half her face and head completely bruised. Nobody from the home knew what had happened or how mum sustained her injuries. They hadn't informed the family of an incident or called an ambulance. Totally appalling. The manager couldn't shed any light and quickly told me and my brother mum was not welcome due to our reaction. We naturally reacted how anyone would. So mum was homeless. I insisted an ambulance was called. Mum was taken to the hospital that day. She could walk then but quickly lost that ability in the hospital. Over 5 months later the family are still waiting for answers. The home has still not provided their report. I would strongly advise caution when putting a loved one in this place. Something happened to my mum. It seems like the home do not want anyone to know the truth. Please take note of this and stay clear. It has ruined mum's life.
Unfortunately the experience of my mum was poor and not recommended. I don't' write reviews often. My mum came here from hospital to free a hospital bed. I was in the process of moving her nearer to my family. She was only a resident for 3 weeks. Here we go. The food was average No one asks a visitor if they would like a hot drink. Even if staff are not busy and just sitting in the same room. I once asked for a tea for my mum and got coffee, if you get the small details wrong. You wont get the big things right. I was not aware my mum went into the gardens on the ground floor once. Despite the heat. On the 2nd floor they have 2 flicking lights for the 3 weeks she has been there. No change. My wife was asked to fill in numerous papers of information. Only to be rang at 9 pm for the same! My mum has now died. My wife and I went to pick up some pictures and a rosary. We asked for the balance of her account. Only to be told. Come back in two weeks as the person is on holiday!!!!!
