This care home is not only really well run, but also it has a lovely, caring atmosphere. My mother was made very welcome here when she first arrived. She has been a resident here for several years, and I have not had any concerns about her care in that time. I would not hesitate to recommend the
home to anyone.

Mum has struggled to settle in but I think it will take time and the staff are wonderfully patient with her.
I can't fault her care, and all the staff are warm and friendly.
An additional benefit for me personally is that it's close enough for me to visit easily.

All the staff at Eothen, Whitley Bay are lovely, always smiling, offering a cup of tea and every happy to help. I personally cannot fault the care and attention of the staff here that they provide to my grandfather.

My mother is very happy at Eothen, Whitley Bay. Care and support are excellent, and the residents are treated with dignity by the staff. The garden view is greatly treasured.
Food is highly satisfactory, and her tea addiction is fully catered for.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Eothen for almost a year and we visit her at least once a week.
We find the staff very professional and kind, and they are always responsive to any concerns we may have, whether that is medical or personal.
They always treat my mother-in-law with dignity
and respect, and I find the care and management team always attentive and always keep us informed of any changes. The care home is clean and always smells fresh, and there are daily activities to keep the residents engaged. We would recommend Eothen Care Home to anyone requiring care and we feel reassured knowing our mother-in-law is safe and well cared for.

Dad has settled well, and we are all pleased with the home and care. It is so easy to visit and feel welcome, and to contact management by phone is important. We like seeing the photos of him joining in and the weekly printed diary, too. The food is better than previous home due to in house kitchen.

Dad has lived at Eothen, Whitley Bay, for over 8 years. He is extremely happy, and loves the sociable and friendly atmosphere, the varied activities and most of all the wonderful staff. They are all fabulous, so kind and gentle and supportive and attentive to each resident's individual needs. We can
call in any time, and it is so clear that Dad is living so well, even with his advanced dementia and frailty. We can't thank Eothen enough.

Literally a perfect home, my gran resides there and been for several years, absolutely loves the place, its lovely clean welcoming and staff are friendly and helpful, would defo recommend this place :-)

My dad has been in Eothen Home for over 4 years.
The staff are cheerful and take great care of my dad. The home is clean, warm and welcoming.
The management are excellent. I can't praise it enough!

A beautiful home with stunning gardens, always a pleasure to walk through. The care and attention to the little things are notable - water and juice available in the lounge, a great choice of food and all needs catered for - a range of activities to suit everyone.
When you walk in, you notice it
smells clean and fresh. The staff are helpful and genuinely care for the residents in their care. Great to see it still has a Christian ethos.

We are very happy with the care given to my mum by Eothen Homes. It is such a homely and comfortable environment with caring staff who always go the extra mile. Mum is always smartly dressed and clean and her dietary and care needs are always addressed. Very happy indeed.

I met with one of the management team and Eothen, and found the review informative and thorough. Claire ran through mum's current health situation and how it had changed from the previous review etc and how she was generally fairing? Her weight is obviously a concern but the home are monitoring it
carefully and encouraging her at mealtimes whenever possible. Although mum is becoming frailer, I cannot see how any other environment would exceed Eothen's care. We know she is very well looked after

The care & support offered to my relative since admission has been exemplary. Key staff and management show an excellent understanding of her changing needs and respond with sensitivity and professionalism to address these and ease her anxieties. We have also been made to feel very welcome and are
grateful for the on going support for a through a difficult transition in her life.
Staff feedback, both informal or through reviews is detailed and very useful to us and inform and support her other health assessment processes. On a regular basis, we have witnessed the sensitive and caring attitude from staff to other residents, reflecting the nurturing ethos behind Eothen's philosophy. Their humour and adaptive approaches is testimony to how well staff know and care for their different residents, to ensure their safety and well-being.
