View Full Details of Camelot House and LodgeMy darling wife has suffered with steady decline as the dementia took hold over 7 years but in January of this year I watched my wife fall 4times in 3 days as well as developing double incontinence ! I looked for help quickly and by sheer chance we ended up at this lovely place. I cannot speak more highly of this place, the care they have given my wife being kind, interested in her previous abilities so as to organise something to assist, as well as the care of the nurses & carers took a great weight off my mind. I come everyday for the morning from 7 to 12 and I have seen more than most partners probably would normally see and I must stress that this gives me great comfort . I can only be very thankful to them all including the wonderful domestic staff who are forever watchful and assisting and the chefs and helpers who turn out very healthy food as well as good looking quality meals.
This is a lovely care home I visited a friend and the staff were lovely and hardworking. The Care home itself is clean and welcomeing. My friend was treated with dignity and respect. All residents looked happy and joined in with activities that were on offer.
My Aunt has been at the home for over a year and the care she has received has been excellent. She was struggling to cope at home and as I do not live near her, I couldn't help on a regular basis. When I first visited her she appeared the most relaxed I have seen her for several years. The staff are tremendous and treat her like a family member. She tells me the food is good and all the meals I've seen looked really tasty. I worried she might get bored but the entertainers work hard. I never thought I would see her dancing as part of a Silent Disco! A big thank you to all the staff, especially to the management team who answer my long distance concerns.
I am very pleased by the attention that all the staff at this care home give my wife. The nurses are very attentive and she enjoys chatting with them. She has her favourites amongst the care staff but they all take the time to chat with her. The same goes for the activity assistants and cleaners. She is very restricted physically as what she can do but she seems to enjoy her days which is all I can ask for. Being a vegetarian she was worried that the variety of food she would be offered would be limited but they have met her requirements very successfully. Overall she is well looked after and happy.
Amazing wonderful home. Care is superior, staff are kind, patient and extremely professional and attentive to everyone who is a resident. The food and drinks are of an outstanding quality. Long may this continue!!
I would like to thank everyone at Camelot for the amazing care my friend receives. She is treated as part of the family by all members of staff. It is lovely to see her enjoying the activities, she loves Rex the therapy dog!
The staff at Camelot Lodge were always caring and polite, and when dad passed away were profesional and very caring towards my sister and I, so I would like to say Thankyou.
It gives me great pleasure to write a glowing review of the care mum has received at Camelot. All staff were, kind, helpful, engaged and friendly. Not just mum, but from what I observed every resident (and many of them had more issues that just dementia) was treated with dignity understanding and humour. Contact with and from the home was good too. Thank you.
Camelot House took care of my mother for the last two years of her life. The care and attention that she had was fantastic. They kept me informed if there were any concerns. Visiting was easy and they always gave me time to ask about her. I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Camelot House.
This home is amazing. From the first day my grandad came here to his last, the staff were the very best with my grandad, and also the family. Would definitely pass on to other people if a home like yours was needed for a loved one of my family or friends.
My father in law spent just under three years at the Camelot House and Lodge after entering for respite care. Not having spent any time within a care home, and my wife struggling to accept the situation we now found ourselves in, our minds were soon put at ease with the level of care and compassion the team at Camelot provide. From the beginning to the end, almost three years later, the level didn't drop and we were kept up to date with any changes or situations on an immediate basis. The space, environment and activities suited our family member during his residency and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to take him out for short periods, they would offer to accompany or even bring him to family events. The professionalism that was displayed and delivered through the entire period, will not be forgotten. We'll continue to try and support Camelot, where we can, for as long as we can, out of respect for way they looked after us and our family members.
Mum stayed at Camelot House and Lodge for just over a year. I can't thank the team enough for the wonderful care and support. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt that my mum was in safe hands, which meant that we could relax. In her final days, they not only looked after mum but all of us.
Excellent home with quality care and staff, nothing was too difficult for anyone and it made my grandfather live his last few months the best he could. Would highly recommend this home to anyone in need of a good fit.
My grandad was a resident at Camelot House and Lodge, and personally it was a fantastic place for my grandad's needs. It had a big family feel, the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful, nothing was ever a problem. Thank you for everything you have done for my grandad.
Wonderful place for the elderly, very clean and tidy and the staff members are very welcoming and friendly and also amazing when it came to the hardest times. Always supportive and caring for my grandad and family, would definitely recommend this care home to anyone who would ask!!
Mum was a resident in Camelot Lodge for 5 months. The care that Mum received was first class. Mum moved from a care home to Camelot when it became apparent that she needed nursing care. We were lucky they had a vacancy. As soon as you enter Camelot Lodge you get a sense of well-being. None of us ever want to be in a home that is not our own home, but, if it becomes necessary I can 100% recommend Camelot Lodge. Mum had a short stay in hospital before her death but we were able to return her to the home where the staff made her comfortable and made her passing so much easier and dignified for which I will always be grateful. Thank you, Camelot.
I cannot praise Camelot House and Lodge enough. Every single member of staff the put wellbeing of the residents before anything else. They are extremely supportive of family members when we visit and they give regular updates and always call if needed if anything is wrong with my Dad. I can rest easy knowing that my Dad is well cared for. I will always be grateful to them.
I enjoyed an afternoon with my aunty at Camelot House and Lodge. I was invited along to a bonanza event where I could sit with mu aunty and answer a quiz with her. We had a cup of tea and cake and a cocktail/mocktail. The staff were very friendly and everyone enjoyed themselves. There was also an opportunity to meet the staff that run Camelot House and Lodge.
Friendly staff - will listen to any concerns we have and will take action. Everyone who works there seems to have a lot of compassion for the residents. Good entertainment is given, and they are trying to improve all the time. A bit disappointed with the outside areas, but that is now being looked into for improvements.
Professional and helpful, responded immediately to a request for help and accommodated our needs with courtesy and respect in a very timely manner. The staff who supported me were excellent. I would recommend the home and thank them for their help and support.
