View Full Details of The Grange Care HomeMy mum has now been a resident at The Grange for 6 years. In that time she has received amazing care, the staff are always polite and friendly and keep me well informed on how mum is doing. Whenever she has needed medical attention they are quick to respond and always phone me immediately to let me know. The home is well run and every member of staff provides mum with the level of care I would expect and they all genuinely seem to care about my mum. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in the position I was in 6 years ago.
My aunt sadly passed away in March 2025. She had been a resident at The Grange since early December 2023 following a fall at home when she broke her hip. My husband and I and family visited her regularly. I am pleased to say she was very happy and well looked after by all staff at The Grange. In my estimation The Grange is extremely well managed where key issues are regularly addressed to make the residents' stay a happy and comfortable experience. At all times when we visited her we were met with a warm welcome by all staff. Thank you so much! In fact we believe the excellent care she received extended her life expectancy.
My mother died at The Grange on 20 April. Throughout her stay there we were pleased with the care she was given. In the days before her death, a senior carer did her paperwork in Mum's room to make sure she was not alone when the inevitable happened. So kind and thoughtful. We were always kept informed of any problems. The manager and senior carers were all excellent.
The grange is a really lovely home The manager is so kind and helpful really appreciate how much she went out the way so settle our mum into the home The staff are lovely and very caring towards mum Our family feel so happy that mum is in a good safe place
The Grange Care Home is a lovely home, management and staff are lovely. I visit a lot, I always find it very good. Residents are well cared for, and all seem very happy.
Very good all-around service given in every aspect of what it takes to ensure my Mother looked after. 10/10!
My parent enjoys all aspects of the care home.
I have visited one resident during the eight years he has resided there. Yesterday I visited another (temporary for two weeks) resident who I have known for 35 years. Both residents are happy and feel well cared for physically and emotionally. I have visited several social functions: recently the garden party which was full up - a high class of presentations re food etc. and entertainment. Superbly well organised - a lovely experience for guests and residents.
As soon as you walk into the home you're welcomed by friendly, caring staff and a happy atmosphere. With my autine, they know when she has had enough of something and would take her out of whatever she was doing before it upset her. The staff and managers are so friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for anything better from a care home.
I have always found the staff caring and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. They must be happy working there as it's always the same ladies. They take time to discuss how my friend is coping and if he needs anything for me to bring in. The house is happy, clean and peaceful. It never smells. I have noticed entertainment provided too.
Really helpful and nice staff, considering my mother-in-law is not the easiest person to deal with.
I have been visiting my mother at The Grange for nearly five years. The staff are always welcoming and I have seen that the whole team is dedicated to providing the best care they can. They are happy in their work. I often see carers spending time and giving extended 'one-to-one' support when a resident is in need of some extra help. Although the building was already maintained to a good standard, I have seen a programme of continuous improvement taking place with things like new carpets, furniture and windows being fitted. The building is always warm. Thank you for all of your good work.
Whenever I visit the staff are always lovely and public areas are bright and clean. My mum is very well cared for and management and staff look after her so well. I couldn't think of a nicer place for my mum.
I have always found the staff at The Grange to be lovely and know my mum is getting the care she needs. Although my mother has Alzheimer's she is cared for with dignity.
Even before Mum moved in, everyone was very helpful. Since arriving from hospital everyone has been very professional, kind and caring. Mum is safe and very well cared for. Thank you.
My friend was moved into The Grange because she could no longer live by or take care of herself. She was finding it harder and harder to get through each day. Even though this was the case, I was really worried that she would find it difficult to adjust, after having lived on her own. However, nothing could be further from the truth! She is so happy! The staff at The Grange were so welcoming and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and to help her feel at ease. She has settled in so well and I am so relieved! I have discussed this with her and we both agree that this was absolutely the right decision to make! When I visit her, she is always around other residents, which is in itself so lovely to see, as she was quite lonely whilst living on her own. The staff are just so amazing! They go over and above their duties and take that extra personal care of the residents. I would certainly recommend The Grange and will never be able to thank them all enough!
I had to find my mother a new care home urgently. The management team could not have been more helpful. The move was not easy for mum but it was excellently managed. She settled in well. Staff are well-led and motivated. They are all very helpful and friendly. Moving my mum to the surgery they use was a very good idea and has worked very well. Mum has enjoyed the entertainment, and food and made new friends. The Grange is very clean and in an excellent state of repair. I have been kept up to date with any issues. I feel most welcome when I visit. The staff are very professional in the way they look after mum
Always very good service, plenty of staff visible. All residents seem very happy and content. The decor is excellent, always tidy and clean. During Covid and even ongoing, all guidelines were in place. All in all, cannot fault The Grange in any way.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at The Grange for several months. She has been very happy and contented and clearly well looked after. The staff are all very warm and welcoming and are easy to converse with. The decor is tastefully decorated and very clean. We have felt we could trust that she was safe and in good hands and that has given us a sense of security. Thank you to the staff for looking after my mother-in-law for the last few months.
My father was reluctant to leave his home to go into a care home, even just for respite to begin with. But with The Grange's warm welcome, a difficult decision was made a little easier all around when he started staying and eventually went to live there, very happily, in March 2020. The pandemic was a distressing time for everyone, but I was confident that my father was safe and well cared for, due to the kind and professional way they dealt with it and handled video calls and visits. My father was always praising the staff and they went above and beyond to make his 100th birthday special, even though he was too frail to leave his bed, the staff enabled family from near and far to visit and spend precious time with him. They always kept me informed of everything, right to the end everyone had time, a kind smile and advice when my father passed away. I can't thank The Grange enough.
