View Full Details of Mundy House Care HomeDad has been a resident at Mundy House for a couple of months now. The manager and assistant manager are excellent, both came to see Dad at his home with a view to respite care, and when his circumstances changed, also visited him in rehabilitation care with a view to a permanent care place. The management and staff have listened to the family's requests for Dad's needs and everything has been done to make Dad as comfortable as possible, including an appointment with a local visiting dentist. The lovely laundry lady has even sewn name labels in Dad's clothes. We are made welcome whenever we visit, with warm smiles from the friendly staff, and the managers office door is always open making it very easy to have a chat. I love the weekly update emails with news about the home in general and a comment specifically about how Dad has been. The family can now relax knowing Dad has 24/7 care in a safe and caring environment.
I visited my sister today, 21/10/25 and found all the staff to be very courteous and friendly. My sister is very happy and content at Mundy House.
Mundy House has looked after Mum so well. Mum has been there for 8 years + and all staff are professional, give lots of support, and are always willing to help in any way they can to make Mum as comfortable as possible.
Been coming over from Spain this year to see my mum, and the care and support is 100%. My mum also seems very happy and well looked after. With a big thank you to everyone at Mundy House. My mum looks very peaceful thank you.
My Mum needed 24-hour dementia care when my Dad passed away in January, so my sister and I looked around at about 6 care homes in the area. Mundy House was the last care home we visited, and, as soon as we walked in the atmosphere was so much different to the others. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, including the 'House' services (laundry and cleaning) staff. Our family regularly visited, at irregular times, but at all times Mum was happy and content. They catered for her food choices perfectly, ensuring that she had her favourites (ice cream). My Mother-in-Law has been receiving care at a different facility for 15 years, but after 4 months with experience at Mundy House, we moved Mother-in-Law to Mundy House. Mum has now passed away, but her final few days were made peaceful and gentle by the staff at Mundy House.
My mother moved to Mundy House in early August 2025 from a home in Bexhill-on-Sea. I have deliberately left off the prefix, care, as there was not a lot of it going on. Anyway, for the first first few days mum found it difficult to settle in but with the patience, understanding and proper care she has received from top to bottom of the staff there she is now a brighter and much happier person. I have seen the change in her with every visit and it is heartwarming. For my own part, I always feel welcome and am greeted by all staff and residents alike. Mum is quite shy about meeting new people partly due to he spinal curvature so she has not joined in with the multitude of activities happening everyday at the home. I feel that she might do in the future but again there has been no pressure on her to do so, from anyone. Once again showing understanding and letting her find her feet in her own time. In conclusion, thankyou Josi and all of your great staff for what you have done for her.
Whenever we visit our dear friend everyone remembers our names and welcomes us. We can always hear singing and laughing, plenty of entertainment if residents wish to join in but there are quiet lounges too where they can read, play cards or just get lost in their thoughts. All areas are clean and fresh smelling and the food varied each day. Some residents are finishing breakfast at 11am if they have wanted a lie in or a leisurely start to their day. Staff, led by a fantastic Manager Josi, are really superb, always happy and smiling and so very caring to their charges. We always enjoy every visit because of them.
We are very pleased with every aspect of this home. Mum is safe and extremely well looked after. Staff are helpful and full of enthusiasm. The home is always welcoming and clean. We would recommend Mundy House to anybody who has a dependent who needs extra care.
My uncle came in for respite care. All of the staff were very welcoming and made my uncle very welcome. My uncle said the nurses understood his sense of humour and he had a great laugh with them. Fantastic staff and management and very clean and welcoming would recommend.
My Mum and Dad went to live at Mundy House in April last year due to Dad's mobility issues, also our Mum was suffering with dementia and it was becoming increasingly difficult for us to care for them safely especially with our Dad having a lot of falls. As soon as they arrived at Mundy House everyone was so welcoming and friendly to our parents and to our family. With the care of everyone at Mundy House Our Dad's health improved , although sadly our Mum passed away in August last year due to her advanced dementia. The support and care our Dad has received has been wonderful, for us too we can visit Dad and be happy in the knowledge he is safe and cared for, we don't have to worry anymore, we can share happy family times with him again. There are lots of opportunities for residents to join in activities such as crafting, colouring, playing bingo. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mundy House to any family who are on the journey of finding a safe care home for a loved one.
It is always such a lovely experience coming into Mundy House to visit. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming and I know this translates to all of the residents aswell. It has such a warm atmosphere where the residents are enjoying themselves and getting a great quality of care. The facilities are great and the food always looks appetising. I couldn't wish for a better place to visit someone in.
Whenever we visit we are always made to feel welcome and offered hospitality (tea and biscuits.) Our mum has been a resident since February 2023 and we have never had anything but positive things to say about how she is cared for and looked after. We know this is not just when we are there but behind the scenes as well. There are lots of things for the residents to get involved with and stimulated throughout the day.
Was very welcoming right from the start. Our friend was helped to the dining room, which is bright and cheery! Tea and biscuits were enjoyed by us all. I know our friend misses her home, but is being well looked after. We look forward to visiting again!
It's always sad to see a relative for the first time after being moved to a care home. Our friend was settled and well looked after. The dining room was a lovely room to sit and chat. We were welcomed right from the start, and tea and biscuits were gratefully received!
The Mundy House Care Home was entrusted with the care of my father and gave him the care and dignity he deserved. They have an outstanding team of staff both day and night giving 100% all of the time. I feel proud to have been included in his experience at Mundy House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is in the position of needing to find a care home for a loved one. All of the staff are a credit to Mundy House.
In my opinion, the care and support that my mother-in-law is given by all the staff at Mundy House is second to none. The relief that this has given to my wife and her brother, indeed all of us who were struggling to deal with her increased dementia, is beyond measure. We cannot sing their praises enough.
Mum is kindly and well cared for. I am happy and stress free knowing she is safe and happy.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and management at Mundy House Care Home. They are helpful, kind, patient, funny, and very caring. They have time for everybody whatever their needs.
I have been inside many residential homes (care homes) this is by far the best very friendly, helpful staff, very approachable manager, it is light and clean. My auntie is in the right place. She is well looked after. Thank you.
From when nan went into the home the carers have been brilliant. They made her so welcome. They were so caring and considerate at all times. She was there 2 years and she wouldn't have got through those 2 years without their empathy and care. The manager runs a great team. Food was always good. Entertainment days were great. Couldn't have wished for anywhere better for nan's later years. Thank you.
