My uncle came in for respite care. All of the staff were very welcoming and made my uncle very welcome. My uncle said the nurses understood his sense of humour and he had a great laugh with them. Fantastic staff and management and very clean and welcoming would recommend.

My Mum and Dad went to live at Mundy House in April last year due to Dad's mobility issues, also our Mum was suffering with dementia and it was becoming increasingly difficult for us to care for them safely especially with our Dad having a lot of falls. As soon as they arrived at Mundy House everyone
was so welcoming and friendly to our parents and to our family. With the care of everyone at Mundy House Our Dad's health improved , although sadly our Mum passed away in August last year due to her advanced dementia. The support and care our Dad has received has been wonderful, for us too we can visit Dad and be happy in the knowledge he is safe and cared for, we don't have to worry anymore, we can share happy family times with him again. There are lots of opportunities for residents to join in activities such as crafting, colouring, playing bingo. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mundy House to any family who are on the journey of finding a safe care home for a loved one.

It is always such a lovely experience coming into Mundy House to visit. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming and I know this translates to all of the residents aswell. It has such a warm atmosphere where the residents are enjoying themselves and getting a great quality of care. The facilities
are great and the food always looks appetising. I couldn't wish for a better place to visit someone in.

Whenever we visit we are always made to feel welcome and offered hospitality (tea and biscuits.) Our mum has been a resident since February 2023 and we have never had anything but positive things to say about how she is cared for and looked after. We know this is not just when we are there but behind
the scenes as well. There are lots of things for the residents to get involved with and stimulated throughout the day.

Was very welcoming right from the start. Our friend was helped to the dining room, which is bright and cheery! Tea and biscuits were enjoyed by us all. I know our friend misses her home, but is being well looked after. We look forward to visiting again!

It's always sad to see a relative for the first time after being moved to a care home. Our friend was settled and well looked after. The dining room was a lovely room to sit and chat. We were welcomed right from the start, and tea and biscuits were gratefully received!

The Mundy House Care Home was entrusted with the care of my father and gave him the care and dignity he deserved.They have an outstanding team of staff both day and night giving 100% all of the time. I feel proud to have been included in his experience at Mundy House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend
it to anyone who is in the position of needing to find a care home for a loved one. All of the staff are a credit to Mundy House.

In my opinion, the care and support that my mother-in-law is given by all the staff at Mundy House is second to none. The relief that this has given to my wife and her brother, indeed all of us who were struggling to deal with her increased dementia, is beyond measure. We cannot sing their praises enough.

I have been inside many residential homes (care homes) this is by far the best very friendly, helpful staff, very approachable manager, it is light and clean. My auntie is in the right place.She is well looked after. Thank you.

From when nan went into the home the carers have been brilliant. They made her so welcome. They were so caring and considerate at all times. She was there 2 years and she wouldn't have got through those 2 years without their empathy and care. The manager runs a great team. Food was always good. Entertainment
days were great. Couldn't have wished for anywhere better for nan's later years. Thank you.

From the start, the care given and the interaction with all members of staff was fantastic.
The emails from the manager on a weekly basis with individual updates were informative and supportive.
We cannot express our gratitude on the personal attention that was given to mum during her stay.
The home
offers so much from entertainment, quiet area's and the individual rooms are clean bright and spacious.

My Nan has been at Mundy House since November 2024 and we have been over the moon with her care. She is so much happier and settled than the previous home she was in (even though she was there for a good few years). Even though she has dementia and struggles to remember anything, she did remember that
she had been moved from a previous home and said how happy she was at her new home. The staff go above & beyond for the residents. There's always music on in the lounge and residents are happy and dancing away. My Nan is always up, washed & dressed when we arrive and has always had her breakfast, which is really nice to know she's being encouraged to get up and out of her room! Thank you Mundy House!

Mum went in for one week's respite care in December, which we were very nervous about as she had not been into respite care before. Mum found the staff to be very friendly and always helpful, making her feel welcome from the moment she walked in. Whilst mum chose not to take part in the activities,
she did enjoy listening to all of the Christmas music from her room. It was a very reassuring experience all around and Mum is happy to go back for respite in the future.

My nan moved into Mundy House in November and came from a different residential care home. We were very worried about the transition but it has been the best thing for her and we regret not doing it sooner! All of the staff are incredibly caring, they are great caregivers with their knowledge and patience
too! The management are absolutely brilliant. The home is always clean, and my nan's bedroom is always tidy and warm. We have no worries about security as it's really safe with lots of security procedures. My nan seems very happy here! She said she doesn't feel lonely and likes all of the other residents and the care team. She enjoys having her hair done and the lovely home-cooked meals, and is entertained daily with activities. We love visiting her as we always feel welcome. Thank you Mundy House for a great start in my nan's forever home.

When mum went into Mundy House Care Home we were worried that she was very frail and anxious. One member of staff in particular was very reassuring, as was all of the staff. Mum has been part of the Mundy house family for more than a year and a half now, just having a second Christmas there and she
is happy, relaxed and well cared for. Any worries with health or anything, are quickly and professionally dealt with.
I would recommend anyone to have their loved one move in and join the family.

Lovely care home. Staff go above and beyond for every resident. My mum was recently poorly and all the staff at Mundy House have looked after her so well. My mum thinks of the staff like family, as do we. Mundy House is a welcoming happy place.

My sister has been a resident since April 2023. She has Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and finding a Care Home appropriate to her needs was a great concern to us. When we visited Mundy House we knew instantly it was the best place for her. Viewing the home, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness
and facilities were just what we were looking for. The manager showed exceptional caring and knowledge. The craft, the music, and the individual care is exceptional. There is always something going on to keep residents busy and entertained. During her residency, she has had a few health issues which were quickly addressed with a minimum of fuss. There has always been a happy family environment and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a safe caring Care Home for a loved one. Family participation is always welcome and you are always treated with kindness and respect. We couldn't be more pleased.

Well, what can I say, this care home is in my honest opinion outstanding. From the dreadful care my mum received at the hospital to how she is being cared for now is truly unbelievable. The care she receives along with the wholesome nutritional meals served every day and general well being all come
together in a very well organised, extremely clean and efficient place for her to stay. My Dad is settled now he knows she is in the best place possible, is put his mind at rest. Thank you so much to each and every one of the staff that work tirelessly around the clock to make my mum's stay the best it can possibly be.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
