All the team at Mundy House care very much about all the residents and constantly looks at new things to enrich their lives. Dad is very happy and loves all the fuss he gets. He has made new friends and enjoys his days!

The level of care is in my opinion second to none, the team are always positive and upbeat, always looking out for the love ones, plus my mum is so happy, she says it is like home from home, which means it's home to her.

My mother became a resident at Mundy House as her dementia increased in Jan 2023. I visit often and all the staff are amazing, led by a great management team. Once I arrive at the home, I am free to visit my mum's room and get an update from any of the staff who all know who my mum is and that I am
her son. No request is too much trouble, from the endless teas and biscuits to an update on her well-being and activities. The quality of service my mum receives cannot be faulted and gives me immense peace of mind that she could not be in a better, safer and more caring care home. Great updates on social media as well.

My mum has been a resident in Mundy House for 3 years this year- after suffering memory problems, I was unable to fully give her the care she needed 24/7 and I really wouldn't want my mum anywhere else. The care has been exceptional, and the manager's door is always open for any concerns you may have.
My
mum looks upon Mundy House as her home now. Thanks to all the staff who help care for my mum. The food is really good, I assist my mum daily with her meals, which you always have a choice and always look very nutritious plus she still has her fish and chip Friday.

My mum could not be happier than she is at Mundy House. I am happy with her care. The manager is always available and has a great team. The staff are welcoming, happy and helpful. I feel comforted by the weekly emails.

As a retired nurse I have worked and visited many care facilities over the years and Mundy House is by far the best I have ever experienced. I'm so glad my aunt is here.
All staff, regardless of their role at Mundy House, are hard working, kind and professional at all times, as visitors we are always
greeted by name.
The meals are delicious and she is really happy and well cared for. There are always activities going on which helps keep her stimulated.
The addition of Dementia education classes has been especially beneficial as it was offered to friends and family and extremely helpful. A service that they didn't have to offer us visitors, but Mundy House always goes the extra mile for its residents friends and family.

My nan was transferred here after safeguarding concerns from her previous care home. Before she came here she was in bed most of the time, not eating too well and we struggled to get a basic conversation from her. She has been in Mundy house for approximately 6 months and she's like a different person
for the better. She's hardly in bed, always smells fresh and clean, she's putting on weight but more than anything we can see our nan returning to how she used to be.
The staff are so lovely, hold lots of activities and events and really do care for all their residents and residents' family. I would 100% recommend.

I have my elder sister in Mundy House and cannot find any problems with anything there. Staff are 10/10, couldn't be faulted. The food looks fresh and appetising always. I help my sister to eat so see it myself. The manager is 10/10. She had a terrible chest infection but they still got the so well
for me. God save them all.

Mundy House has given my stepmum exceptional care throughout her stay there; she has been a resident for the past three and a half years.
All staff go above and beyond with care. When we visit, we are always greeted with friendliness, and nothing ever appears to be too much trouble.

After a successful respite stay, when the time came that mother-in-law needed a permanent residential place our first choice was Mundy House.
The care and patience of staff supporting her anxiety and dementia needs are excellent.
Where required community services are engaged, community and dementia
nurses, physiotherapy.
The weekly family emails with a personal update reassuring, as is the availability and communication with management.
We love seeing my mother-in-law and other residents enjoying life on social media posts.

Mum has only been at Mundy House for a couple of months. We are so pleased and really appreciate the staff's hard work and dedication. Mum is very well cared for and treated with respect. The staff build a good rapport with their residents. We are kept regularly informed and updated and contacted if
they have any concerns. We visit regularly, and the manager knows all Mum's next of kin by their first name. We feel very lucky to have found Mundy House.

My Mother was staying at Mundy, she had dementia after arriving at the home. Mum's mental health improved and she began to eat again. They really cared for her and for the first time in a long time, I knew she was ok. The staff are all wonderful always have a smile and helpful. The manager gives 110%
and is so professional and caring I cannot say enough!
My Mum sadly died a few weeks ago and I genuinely felt sad she was no longer going to be at Mundy. She smiled every day and she enjoyed all the activities going on around her. I will miss seeing her online! But I will continue to follow Mundy! I will miss her smile a smile that reflected that she had no worries. You could not ask for more!

I've heard good things about Munday House before asking if they would take my auntie in. This place has far exceeded my expectations and I am so pleased my auntie is staying here.
She is so much happier here than in her last place and I and all her family feel this is her home for good. Her room is
lovely and was newly decorated before she went in, overlooking the lovely gardens, it's clean, tidy and the food is nice she said. The manager and staff members are fantastic, always happy, upbeat and friendly and I always see them communicating with the residents and doing activities, games and more. I recommend this place for your loved ones.

The staff are so friendly and very caring. The amazing range of activities and opportunities for residents is truly wonderful. The social media pages give a daily insight and are always positive and inspiring, and residents looking happy and engaged.

Mum moved into Mundy House in May 2022, when her health had deteriorated to the point that she could no longer live independently. We went to view a large number of care homes before settling on Mundy House - there was something just right about the home, its atmosphere of care, laughter and joy was
palpable and so different to all the others that we viewed.
Mundy House may not be the newest and brightest in terms of building fabric, but it was the best in terms of the atmosphere it strives to create and the focus on meeting an individual’s needs, through a difficult transition and acceptance of the new reality.
We are pleased that mum is being looked after in a safe, caring environment.
The care home leadership team have been so supportive in getting to know mum, encouraging her to participate in group activity and ensuring that she is mobilising whenever she can.
We know we made the right choice.

I can't thank this home enough for the way Mum was treated. Unfortunately, she died in December. The care she received was outstanding. The carers were kind and loving towards her and also so kind to us, even when visiting during Covid was difficult. We were at ease knowing she was looked after so well.

I have been so impressed with the team at Mundy House Care Centre. They have made the residents very comfortable and anticipate their needs. Nothing is too much trouble and they keep all of us relatives up to date with developments in the unit and individual updates. In addition, they have been excellent
at liaising with the hospital during my father's recent illness.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
