Mundy House Care Home

My mum has only been in Mundy House for a few weeks but the difference in her is amazing. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. The level of care is superb. Everyone works so hard there but they always have a smile on their faces and make time for the patients and relatives. 10/10. I would highly recommend Mundy House to anyone who is looking for a care home for a loved one.

Is the open door attitude of management and the genuine feeling of residents being treated like part of a family. I feel I can leave my dad there knowing he will be treated like one of their own and that's the most important thing for me

Mum has been at Mundy House now for two years. She is really doing well. She enjoys sitting at the dining table with the friends she has made, chatting and laughing about how things used to be and is often joined by the caring staff. Overall, very pleased with the level of care and attention she has received.Thank you.

When my mother first came to Mundy House from hospital after numerous falls she was very frail and could hardly walk , but only after a couple of months she was back to her old self and walking again which was all down to the brilliant care and attention from the wonderful staff , not only do they treat all residents with care and compassion but also to all relatives and friends too , I honestly cannot fault this care home at all .

We cannot believe how helpful and nice the staff and management are, always willing to help and always with a smile.

I always receive a warm and friendly welcome from any of the staff at Mundy House. The residents are well looked after, they enjoy various activities throughout the year, including music, dancing and art. The food is excellent, and my friend has always said how much he enjoys it. I visit my friend every week, and he receives the very best of care. He is comfortable and happy. The care home is always clean, and there are often examples of artwork done by the residents on the walls. I have peace of mind that my friend is a resident at Mundy House, he is safe and receives excellent care.

I visit weekly to see my friend bringing in holy communion as he can't get to church. My friend is ready and brought promptly to a room where we have a short service in private. I always find the staff very polite, friendly and welcoming. The care home is always clean and tidy, and residents seem comfortable in their surroundings. The food is good and varied, and quite often there is an activity in progress where everyone is taking part.

Always a happy visit with friendly staff around. Lots of entertainment weekly, hairdressing, chiropody appointments available and GP services as and when needed. Housekeeping to excellent standard and freshly cooked food each day. Highly recommend this happy home.

I cannot rate the caring staff at Mundy House enough. Everyone is always so helpful, always greeted with a smile and you can see how much they care about all the residents and their families.

All her needs are met and it is so reassuring.

With the care and support Dad receives from everyone at Mundy House it's given him a comfortable and happy next stage of his life.

When I visit its usually over a few days, which means I have the privilege of seeing the staff and my mum at many different times of the day. I always find the staff to be in good spirit, kind to everyone, dedicated, and also good fun! I give them 100/100 for their amazing service!

My mum is not really aware of her surroundings but is more settled and calm and treated so much better at Mundy house than her previous accommodation. I wish I had moved her to Mundy house years ago. Every single member of staff is always happy and caring. No-one moans or complains about their workload or what they are expected to do. My mum is treated with great care and with respect and dignity. What more could I ask for? Thank you Jose and the whole team.

I always feel welcome visiting the home. There is always a cup of tea and warm smile from the staff and my relatives are happy and comfortable

My mum unexpectedly fractured her ankle while visiting relatives in Essex. Once surgery was completed she was moved to Mundy Care Home so she could be looked after while she required hospital check ups. All staff were warm, welcoming and supportive. My mother is both gluten and dairy free, the kitchen staff went out of their way to ensure she could have meals suitable for her.

Since mum and dad moved into Mundy House very suddenly and unexpectedly in May 2024, they have been provided excellent care. Unfortunately we lost mum very quickly to Dementia and related conditions in the August of 2024 and all the staff were incredibly caring and supportive of dad and us as a family. Dad is physically incapacitated but of good mind. The transition of having to leave their home due to him no longer being able to care for mum was very difficult and the subsequent loss of mum even more so. Testament to the environment Mundy House provides is that dad now feels like this is his new home and we too are grateful as a family that his health and wellbeing is much improved under their care than when he was struggling at home. Josi and his team are always ready to assist with any queries we have and proactively monitor his changing needs. The fact the staff, residents and families are so happy speaks volumes.

We can't thank them all enough for looking after mum so well.
