Mum was a resident in the home from March 2017 until she sadly passed away in November 2024. In that time Mum came to regard Mundy House as her home and was always treated with compassion, care, love and respect. Every single member of staff there has shown complete kindness and understanding, even
when Mum could sometimes be quite difficult to deal with! Her room was always kept spotlessly clean, and Mum also looked nicely dressed and happy. Mum was always encouraged to maintain a degree of independence for as long as she could, which was very important to her. With its excellent facilities, we would not hesitate to recommend Mundy House, and cannot thank everyone there enough for the kindness shown to Mum during her residency.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and very attentive to the resident's needs.
Any issues are dealt with swiftly and the manager and staff are very approachable.

Our mum is a resident in the home, staff are very friendly and helpful always are happy and cheerful and happy to help.
They do a lot of activities in the home. Mum always looks clean and healthy, peace of mind that Mum is looked after very well.

My Mother has been a resident for more than a year now and despite her initial reluctance to move from her home she has settled in very well and actually enjoys life at Mundy House, no regrets. The home has gone from strength to strength over the last year. The care and dedication of the staff is first-class,
they create a good happy atmosphere with a bit of fun thrown in when the time allows.

Mundy House is a lovely place to be for respite or permanent. Everyone is kind and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. My mum is so much better since she came here, not just in herself but eating with encouragement from all the staff. We are all more than happy with the care and thoughtfulness
from all. Our mum came here for six weeks and stayed, and we believe this is the best place for her. She is very happy.

The staff has been amazing at cheering Nan up over the course of her time there and never underestimates her. It has been a wonderful place to visit always so warm and friendly from all of the staff. Cannot recommend enough.

I would like to give a big shout-out to all the staff especially the staff member who has worked very closely with my mum of late as she had been very down and was not mixing or leaving her room. She has given Mum her mojo back with lots of patience and love.

As a First Responder and a GP Surgery Manager, I have been to many care homes. I am most impressed with the standards of excellence by all at Mundy House. A most welcoming feeling, clean, caring and very well-run facility. It is run like a family home, care for residents is second to none. It is a pleasure
visiting the home where my mother is a resident. Peace of mind for my wife and I as we know she is safe and well looked after. I feel completely at ease that she is cared for by Mundy House. My nan came to the home around a month ago. She was very anxious and unsettled to be moving into a home but the staff at Mundy House have worked tirelessly to reassure her and ensure she is as happy as she can be. In particular, three members of staff have been outstanding, they have shown Nan patience,
respect and kindness in making her feel welcome and included each and every day. Nan is much happier there now and enjoys the entertainment - especially when there is a singer. The carers are all so friendly and make us as visitors feel welcome. Also, we love the social media page where photos and videos are uploaded of the activities that the residents get involved in!

The level of care is in my opinion second to none, the team are always positive and upbeat, always looking out for the love ones, plus my mum is so happy, she says it is like home from home, which means it's home to her.

My mother became a resident at Mundy House as her dementia increased in Jan 2023. I visit often and all the staff are amazing, led by a great management team. Once I arrive at the home, I am free to visit my mum's room and get an update from any of the staff who all know who my mum is and that I am
her son. No request is too much trouble, from the endless teas and biscuits to an update on her well-being and activities. The quality of service my mum receives cannot be faulted and gives me immense peace of mind that she could not be in a better, safer and more caring care home. Great updates on social media as well.

My mum has been a resident in Mundy House for 3 years this year- after suffering memory problems, I was unable to fully give her the care she needed 24/7 and I really wouldn't want my mum anywhere else. The care has been exceptional, and the manager's door is always open for any concerns you may have.
My
mum looks upon Mundy House as her home now. Thanks to all the staff who help care for my mum. The food is really good, I assist my mum daily with her meals, which you always have a choice and always look very nutritious plus she still has her fish and chip Friday.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
