Mundy House Care Home

My Nan has been at Mundy House since November 2024 and we have been over the moon with her care. She is so much happier and settled than the previous home she was in (even though she was there for a good few years). Even though she has dementia and struggles to remember anything, she did remember that she had been moved from a previous home and said how happy she was at her new home. The staff go above & beyond for the residents. There's always music on in the lounge and residents are happy and dancing away. My Nan is always up, washed & dressed when we arrive and has always had her breakfast, which is really nice to know she's being encouraged to get up and out of her room! Thank you Mundy House!

Mum went in for one week's respite care in December, which we were very nervous about as she had not been into respite care before. Mum found the staff to be very friendly and always helpful, making her feel welcome from the moment she walked in. Whilst mum chose not to take part in the activities, she did enjoy listening to all of the Christmas music from her room. It was a very reassuring experience all around and Mum is happy to go back for respite in the future.

My nan moved into Mundy House in November and came from a different residential care home. We were very worried about the transition but it has been the best thing for her and we regret not doing it sooner! All of the staff are incredibly caring, they are great caregivers with their knowledge and patience too! The management are absolutely brilliant. The home is always clean, and my nan's bedroom is always tidy and warm. We have no worries about security as it's really safe with lots of security procedures. My nan seems very happy here! She said she doesn't feel lonely and likes all of the other residents and the care team. She enjoys having her hair done and the lovely home-cooked meals, and is entertained daily with activities. We love visiting her as we always feel welcome. Thank you Mundy House for a great start in my nan's forever home.

Lovely care home. Staff go above and beyond for every resident. My mum was recently poorly and all the staff at Mundy House have looked after her so well. My mum thinks of the staff like family, as do we. Mundy House is a welcoming happy place.

My sister has been a resident since April 2023. She has Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and finding a Care Home appropriate to her needs was a great concern to us. When we visited Mundy House we knew instantly it was the best place for her. Viewing the home, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and facilities were just what we were looking for. The manager showed exceptional caring and knowledge. The craft, the music, and the individual care is exceptional. There is always something going on to keep residents busy and entertained. During her residency, she has had a few health issues which were quickly addressed with a minimum of fuss. There has always been a happy family environment and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a safe caring Care Home for a loved one. Family participation is always welcome and you are always treated with kindness and respect. We couldn't be more pleased.

Mum was a resident in the home from March 2017 until she sadly passed away in November 2024. In that time Mum came to regard Mundy House as her home and was always treated with compassion, care, love and respect. Every single member of staff there has shown complete kindness and understanding, even when Mum could sometimes be quite difficult to deal with! Her room was always kept spotlessly clean, and Mum also looked nicely dressed and happy. Mum was always encouraged to maintain a degree of independence for as long as she could, which was very important to her. With its excellent facilities, we would not hesitate to recommend Mundy House, and cannot thank everyone there enough for the kindness shown to Mum during her residency.

They do a lot of activities in the home. Mum always looks clean and healthy, peace of mind that Mum is looked after very well.

My Mother has been a resident for more than a year now and despite her initial reluctance to move from her home she has settled in very well and actually enjoys life at Mundy House, no regrets. The home has gone from strength to strength over the last year. The care and dedication of the staff is first-class, they create a good happy atmosphere with a bit of fun thrown in when the time allows.

Mundy House is a lovely place to be for respite or permanent. Everyone is kind and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. My mum is so much better since she came here, not just in herself but eating with encouragement from all the staff. We are all more than happy with the care and thoughtfulness from all. Our mum came here for six weeks and stayed, and we believe this is the best place for her. She is very happy.

The staff has been amazing at cheering Nan up over the course of her time there and never underestimates her. It has been a wonderful place to visit always so warm and friendly from all of the staff. Cannot recommend enough.

I would like to give a big shout-out to all the staff especially the staff member who has worked very closely with my mum of late as she had been very down and was not mixing or leaving her room. She has given Mum her mojo back with lots of patience and love.

As a First Responder and a GP Surgery Manager, I have been to many care homes. I am most impressed with the standards of excellence by all at Mundy House. A most welcoming feeling, clean, caring and very well-run facility. It is run like a family home, care for residents is second to none. It is a pleasure visiting the home where my mother is a resident. Peace of mind for my wife and I as we know she is safe and well looked after. I feel completely at ease that she is cared for by Mundy House. They also make the families of the residents feel part of their community. Keep up the good work to all of the staff - from the top to the bottom. Well Done.

My nan came to the home around a month ago. She was very anxious and unsettled to be moving into a home but the staff at Mundy House have worked tirelessly to reassure her and ensure she is as happy as she can be. In particular, three members of staff have been outstanding, they have shown Nan patience, respect and kindness in making her feel welcome and included each and every day. Nan is much happier there now and enjoys the entertainment - especially when there is a singer. The carers are all so friendly and make us as visitors feel welcome. Also, we love the social media page where photos and videos are uploaded of the activities that the residents get involved in!

All the team at Mundy House care very much about all the residents and constantly looks at new things to enrich their lives. Dad is very happy and loves all the fuss he gets. He has made new friends and enjoys his days!

The level of care is in my opinion second to none, the team are always positive and upbeat, always looking out for the love ones, plus my mum is so happy, she says it is like home from home, which means it's home to her.

My mum looks upon Mundy House as her home now. Thanks to all the staff who help care for my mum. The food is really good, I assist my mum daily with her meals, which you always have a choice and always look very nutritious plus she still has her fish and chip Friday.
