Thought I would never get to the situation where I would put Dad in a care home. The staff at Mundy House made us feel welcome as a family and was fully understanding. The staff are professional, caring and friendly and are always willing to help with any situation. Always there to greet you with a
tea or coffee and biscuits. My mind is at rest knowing Dad is getting the care that he needs.

I was recommended Mundy House for a two-week respite stay for my wife.
This is the first time my wife has been in a residential home since her diagnosis of Alzheimer's 5 years ago. I was reluctant to leave her in a residential home, but due to the decline of Alzheimer's she is unable to travel and
my family wanted me to go on a family holiday.
I agreed for her to stay for 2 weeks.
I cannot thank the manager and staff enough, they sent texts to reassure me that she was OK. She was very happy and very well looked after.
I definitely will not feel reluctant to have her stay at Mundy House in the future. Again, thank you!

Our mum has been at Mundy House since the end of May this year. We found it hard to accept she could no longer care for herself at home and had reservations about putting her into Munday House, but she has a lovely room looking out onto the garden and, since she has been there, she has gained weight,
is becoming stronger and more independent and joins in with some of the activities. The staff are very friendly and take great care of her. We get weekly updates on her progress. Any issues she has had have been dealt with quickly.

I have just visited my mother at Mundy House today, having been away it’s nice to come and find her in good health, well looked after, clean and happy, though she is now bed bound, she is safe, has good food, drinks and is still amongst the atmosphere of the home.
The staff are all excellent, friendly,
approachable and attentive, in the 5 years Mum has been a resident, I have always felt very confident in the staff and management of the home to do what is right for the individual residents. They go above and beyond and I have never had any issues. I definitely recommend Mundy House.

My grandad has been a resident of Mundy House for a few years now and has been very well looked after. My grandad now has a mobility scooter so has access to get out and about on his own terms. He's been given a safe space to park it up so it can be charged. Every week the management team will send
out weekly emails about the home and will add on updates on how my grandad is, if he's been out or if there are any problems. It's very personal which is a nice touch.
My grandad is always happy here and says he is very happy with the quality of care he receives, and so are we!

Myself and my family are extremely pleased that we made the decision to choose Mundy House for Mum it was a very big decision and the last resort. All the staff are absolutely lovely and you can tell they love their job the way they look after Mum and other residents. They do a lot of activities, they
have a lovely garden to sit in weather permitting and nothing is too much trouble. Regular updates via e-mail and social media - it’s lovely! I would highly recommend Mundy House a big shout out to the management, the staff are a credit to you.

It's been difficult for my mother to adapt from being independent but lonely on her own since we lost Dad, but Mundy House Care Centre staff and facilities have won her over. She's gone from being unsociable to starting to revel in the activities and company of such caring staff and residents. Thank

Never had a bad visit always nice friendly staff. My nan's always clean and happy, food is very good, there are always activities going on and everyone always happy and smilingly. It’s like a big holiday club would highly recommend this home.

My father has been here since October 2021.
I am so happy I sent him to a happy, clean care home with great staff and great food. My dad can eat as much as he likes at Munday House, he's always drinking tea and he's well cared for and happy there.

I cannot explain how relieved I am that my father is being so well looked after at Mundy House. The staff here go above and beyond all expectations and feel like friends and family.


They work exceptionally hard and I’m so pleased with how my father is settling in.
The manager is extremely organised

and aware of everything that goes on in the home, I can not thank them enough for the love and care they put into the residents.

Our mother has been at Mundy House since August 2021. Although we were sad at the inevitable next stage of our mother’s journey, Mundy House was the best decision we could have made. The love, care and attention to all aspects of our mother’s well-being has been managed with compassion and dignity.
When Mum’s health started to deteriorate the care was outstanding and she has regained some of her old self. I really do believe that the love and commitment shown by all of the lovely staff is second to none. We know Mum is loved in a ‘family environment’ and although our own roles have diminished in the day to day care of Mum, we couldn’t ask for better at Mundy House. Thank you to all the staff.

Our experience of Mundy House has been beyond expectation. Whilst the residential home had been recommended, at a point when we worried what the next step was in our mother’s care and with a reluctance to admit this was the next step to keep her safe at 92, she was received so warmly by Mundy House.
Our worries and anxiety about whether we were doing the right thing evaporated overnight. A huge step taken with difficulty, but the joy of seeing Mum regularly on social media, weekly updates, ad hoc concerns communicated by email or phone, Mum is part of the Mundy house family. She is safe, well looked after, warm and surrounded by a team who have largely worked at the setting for years.
A scare with health in November saw Mum in hospital for two weeks and very weak on her return to Mundy House. Expecting the worst, the wonderful staff have worked in rehabilitating Mum who is back singing, eating well, and totally engaged.
Highly recommended. Huge gratitude for all the team do.

My mum has been a resident at Mundy House for almost 5 years. The home and the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. We get weekly emails informing us of what is going on and keep us up to date of any changes. My mum loves the home and all the staff, she joins in with most of the activities,
of which there are plenty. I can't thank the home and staff enough for everything they do.

My mother was brought back to Mundy House from hospital. Her mouth and vocal chords were ulcerated and she could not eat or speak. The wonderful staff at Mundy House have cared for her devotedly, and she now has her beautiful singing voice back, can talk and is eating normal (delicious) Mundy House
food. I cannot recommend Mundy House highly enough. It is excellent, the staff are caring, and the manager is always available and willing to help.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
