My mum has been a resident of Mundy House for over 3 years, whilst having quite severe dementia she also has quite severe mobility issues, the care she has received has been first class from the staff even before COVID times. Since COVID the staff have further stepped up and have quite frankly been
absolutely amazing. Communication with staff is key in these times where you cannot visit your loved one and again this is first class.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Mundy House

During this very difficult time the staff at Mundy House have been excellent with all the care they provide to my mother.
They always keep us informed every Friday with an update and if there are any concerns about my mother they do not hesitate and contact me straight away which I appreciate greatly.

My nan has been placed at Mundy House for some weeks now. It has been a very difficult time with dementia, covid, lockdown and broken wrists. I have never felt comfortable with nan being away from us until now. It's very difficult not seeing her but I know she is in the best place with staff and other
residents. Roll on out of lockdown!

Mum has been resident for over 4 years and during that time she has received excellent care. The staff are friendly and always cheerful, happy to talk with me about Mum. There have been times when due to her condition, she has been challenging to care for but this amazing team take everything in their
stride. During this pandemic, they have always put Mum's interests first and keep me updated on a weekly basis. I cannot praise them enough.

The manager and the team at Mundy House have been fantastic with regards to care for my Mum this month. I had my first visit since February after moving back to the UK and this was really well arranged. I felt that all COVID safety measures were followed and it was lovely to have half an hour with Mum,
too short of course but the rules need to be followed at this difficult time. Mum has had problems with her breathing for many years and these are now getting worse. She needed urgent care this week as her oxygen levels had got very low and the work that the manager did to get the right people to see Mum in the difficult time between Christmas and New Year and with all the COVID stuff going on, was marvellous. Mum’s care has been paramount in all of this and I feel she has been very well treated at a difficult time. I cannot recommend Mundy House any higher.

I am extremely happy with the care that dad receives at Mundy House, the atmosphere is welcoming and happy, staff make a point of getting to know you personally and are never too busy to deal with questions or queries. The activities and music sessions are engaging and staff make an effort to include
all residents. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. Dad told me he now lives in a hotel with very nice food, praise indeed!

Mundy House has looked after my dearest mum for the past year, when my sister and I were told at Christmas that dear Mum was in the last few weeks of her life, that was such a shock to us, completely unexpected! But dearest Mum is still with us, despite COVID, she is still going strong, and I think
that is purely down to the superb care that Mundy House provides. The manager has also gone out of his way to try and find some way for my sister and I to visit Mum with COVID restrictions in place. Mundy House, the manager and all the dear carers are absolutely the very best!! I would not want my dear mum to be anywhere else.

My mum was admitted to Munday House from hospital the day before Lockdown - This meant Mum and us as a family had little time to prepare for such a big change in her life. The home manager was fantastic in ensuring the move went as smooth as possible, his calm, professional attitude alongside his compassion
and empathy went a long way in putting our minds at rest! Mum has settled really well, watching her on the videos which the wonderful activities manager provides weekly has been enough to reassure me that Mum is happy and receiving care with just 'that little bit extra' which makes all the difference.
Watching staff interact and engage with all the residents is a sheer joy, watching the activities staff get everyone involved with the weekly 'sing-a-long' sessions makes my day!
During and after COVID we have been kept up to date with all the changes in line with government guidance and have been able to visit Mum with safe restrictions in place. Thank you Munday House staff - stay safe!

Went to see my Mum today 15.7.2020. So pleased how the staff is looking after everyone in the home during this pandemic. Whenever I go and visit my Mum the staff are always so happy, friendly, and caring. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the resident's needs. Well done to all the staff and management

My mum has taken some time to settle into the care home but has found the home to be very caring and the activities very good. Just having problems with the residents, as there is a good percentage of dementia, which we did not realise at the time of viewing the home. A little concern for my mum's stimulation
with conversation at times.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
