All the staff have been extremely helpful. They have always ensured the needs of my Nan. They helped her to overcome her initial reluctance and settle in and join in to become a welcomed member of the Mundy House community. I can't speak highly enough of the care given to my Nan.

My mum has been a resident of Mundy House for 13 months, during her settling in time staff were very patient and understanding of her anxiety. Mum is happy and is treated with kindness and dignity. I find staff welcoming, seniors and management are always willing to listen if l have any concerns.
I
am very happy with the care Mum receives at Mundy House and look forward to working closely with staff to ensure this continues.

This is a home where the team really care and go out their way for the residents, they are full of heart and nothing was too much trouble for them always putting the needs of the residents first. We really appreciate the respect and care they gave our nan and will be eternally grateful for the level

The staff welcome everyone who visits with a smile and there is a lovely ambience throughout. We have observed the care given to residents and always given with kindness and love. There is a natural buz and both residents and visitors are included in their activities if they wish. The kitchen staff
go out of their way to welcome everyone at any time of day.

I am very happy with the care my mother is getting. She is getting very anxious but they are doing all they can to help with the situation. There is always someone to talk to if we need it.

I really wish my father had gone into the home sooner because he would have been so much happier but now his dementia and frailty is worse, he doesn't appreciate the care he is getting but we as a family do.

I have nothing but praise for the way the staff have looked after my mother for the past year and a half.
There are a few things which could be better in her room such as a better functioning toilet and sink but overall this is a very good place for her to be.
We can come at any time of day and be
welcomed by the staff.
Always offered refreshments and a kind word.
Mum is happy, and although doesn't show much appreciation, is in the best place.
So glad we found Mundy House.

Whenever we visit there is nearly always something going on, karaoke, crafts, entertainment in the lounge.
The only negative thing is there are no facilities for residents in wheelchairs to have hair washed and blow-dried by the hairdresser who comes once a week.

My experience with Mundy House is very good. Mum is well looked after and her needs are more than met. My only thing that is an issue with Mum is she is constantly upset about having no money so maybe pretend money or vouchers that residents can have in purses would cover this. Very happy with staff.

Very glad my mum is staying here. She is well looked after and seems very happy. The staff are excellent and always make me welcome when I visit. There are no restrictions on visiting times which makes it very easy to pop in. All in all, I think Mundy House is first class.

The care my father has received has been excellent. The staff are kind, caring and responsive, nothing is too much trouble. He always appears clean and contents the home is clean and there is always a happy atmosphere.

When we came to visit this wonderful care home, we were warmly greeted and went into one of the lounges where great activities were going on with a fantastic singer who does the activities, all were really enjoying themselves. It was so lovely to see smiles on everyone's faces, some were dancing and
clapping along. The home is beautiful and the garden is stunning. We are very impressed with the staff and management. This home has a wonderful family atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble and people are made to feel welcome and cared for.

We were shown around before the resident joined. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and they answered all questions asked.
The staff know every resident by name and they are good at calming residents when upset and encourage them to interact and mix with each other.
Overall the care home
and it's staff are friendly, caring and supportive to both the residents and their families.

My relative has settled well in the years he has been here. Home has helped with medical professionals to treat his physical and psychological needs. He tends not to join in with activities as he enjoys his own company but he has full freedom to go out anytime.

The home is a lovely friendly happy place. I would be happy to live here as well. It's like a big happy family place. My mom is always clean and tidy and looked after well, she has got a lovely room overlooking a very nice and colourful garden.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
