I really wish my father had gone into the home sooner because he would have been so much happier but now his dementia and frailty is worse, he doesn't appreciate the care he is getting but we as a family do.

The only negative thing is there are no facilities for residents in wheelchairs to have hair washed and blow-dried by the hairdresser who comes once a week.

My experience with Mundy House is very good. Mum is well looked after and her needs are more than met. My only thing that is an issue with Mum is she is constantly upset about having no money so maybe pretend money or vouchers that residents can have in purses would cover this. Very happy with...

Very glad my mum is staying here. She is well looked after and seems very happy. The staff are excellent and always make me welcome when I visit. There are no restrictions on visiting times which makes it very easy to pop in. All in all, I think Mundy House is first class.

When we came to visit this wonderful care home, we were warmly greeted and went into one of the lounges where great activities were going on with a fantastic singer who does the activities, all were really enjoying themselves. It was so lovely to see smiles on everyone's faces, some were dancing...

It was so lovely to see smiles on everyone's faces, some were dancing and clapping along. The home is beautiful and the garden is stunning. We are very impressed with the staff and management. This home has a wonderful family atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble and people are made to feel welcome and cared for.

The home is a lovely friendly happy place. I would be happy to live here as well. It's like a big happy family place. My mom is always clean and tidy and looked after well, she has got a lovely room overlooking a very nice and colourful garden.

A very professional approach from all members of staff to the welfare and needs of its residents. Presentation of it's residential and public rooms are of a high standard, together with it catering and welfare need deliver a commendable service to any resident. That resides at this property.

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.
Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
