Mum has only been in Munday House a couple of months. I have found all the staff to be very friendly, helpful and dealt with any problems very promptly. They have also arranged for transport to the hospital and any doctor's visits. Management also arranged for Mum to have a recliner so she is more comfortable.
Catering staff are very good with foods that Mum may like. Cleaning staff have found missing laundry. Mum is only able to feed herself so all the staff are always ready to assist Mum when she needs it. Mum has fallen out of bed (she did at home) so she has now been given a bed with sides. Grounds are nice too.

We are so grateful to everyone at Mundy House for providing a safe and caring environment for our Nanna. The staff are great and have made her feel comfortable and settled and I can't praise them enough. They treat her with dignity and compassion and we couldn't ask for more. The home overall is well
run, clean, and welcoming and we as a family feel lucky she is there.

My mother has been at Mundy House for a month now. The staff have made my family feel very welcome and have worked with us as a team. My mother has now settled in very well and has become part of a bigger family, which my sister and I are very happy to be part of.

The staff at Mundy House are so caring and understanding. Does not matter when I turn up, they know where my mum is and how she is.
Very comforting as we are still in the settling in stage. But after three weeks we finally seem to be there. My mum is happy and gets lots of cuddles.

Love coming to see my nan. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. Nothing is too much. My nan is very happy here.
There is always plenty of food and a good choice also. My nan is never on her own, which is really lovely to see.

Mundy House has provided a safe and caring environment for our Nanna. The staff are great, friendly, caring and always on hand to help. Totally impressed by the friendly, caring, professional staff and the way the whole care home is run, putting the needs of the residents as a priority and all areas being handled sympathetically and professionally.

I am a resident here for few months. I am quite happy here. Staff are really helpful and friendly. I am here for a rehabilitation. I am getting the right care here. Staff and management are really helpful to meet my needs.
I am 95 years old and I am still using internet and laptop. I am a member of
Tai Chi society. I do my exercise regularly here. The management provided all the facilities for me.

I couldn't be more pleased how everybody at Mundy House looks after my Mum. Its long time since I have seen my mum so happy. Every service you could want is made available and she is very pleased with that.

The service Mundy House provided was of excellent standard. They were compassionate, caring and always with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we were always consulted before any action was taken. We would recommend this home unreservedly.

My mother in law is in Mundy House last 6 years. She wishes to remain at Mundy House as she is happy. Her needs are met by the staff and she find all staff are helpful and friendly. She enjoys the company of the staff and other residents.

My mum has been in Mundy House for just over six and half years. She is very settled and Happy. Her all needs are met by the staff whom she finds very friendly and helpful. Having never had a relative in a care home before I didn't know what to expect on my first visit to see my nan. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful all the staff were and how clean and tidy the home was. My nan seems very happy here and it was wonderful to see her smiling and laughing

After my Grandad passed away, we had to make the hard decision to move my Nan who has Alzheimer's into Mundy house. We were worried how she would take to the move, but she has settled in nicely and seems a lot calmer. The food and entertainment are excellent. I would like to thank the amazing staff
for the care they give her and making sure she is relaxed and happy! It is definitely a weight off of our family's minds to know that she is being cared for so well.

My mother had been a resident in Munday House for one year. She died on 2nd February 2017. We live in Durham so had to rely on a lot of phone calls and emails, But all members of staff have been excellent in regards getting mam to the phone, putting her music on for her. The attitude from all the staff
members has been marvellous.

Lovely to see such good interaction between not only the carers and patients, but amongst staff themselves, and the way they treat the friends and family too. Everyone was friendly and there is a genuine, community feeling which wouldn't be instilled in the care home if it wasn't for the carers. It
is reassuring to know that our loved ones are being looked after with quality care given to them physically and emotionally and that their private rooms are well facilitated and made as homely as possible whilst the communal rooms are a relaxed, comfortable environment.

Mundy House Care Centre has lived up to my expectations and more. I'd never, until now, been inside a care home and have been pleasantly surprised by the friendly and caring staff and the homely feel of Munday House. We were dreading putting my mother in law in there but now wish we had done it sooner.
She is so settled, is enjoying the activities, has a lovely room which is a mini version of the house she left behind and we have seen a more happy and humorous side to her in the last month! We can only put this down to seeing different people every day, being in a routine and the staff's efforts in making her feel comfortable. Thanks everyone at Munday House you are doing a wonderful job.

Josi George

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2004

The Registered Home Manager, Josi George, has a passion for the care of older people, he works alongside his staff to ensure they offer the best in individual care for the residents. He achieved Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016. Also, he completed the My Home Life course for the Care Home Managers in 2016 conducted by the Essex Local Authority. Josi also has NVQ level 3 in Management, health & social care along customer care. He has also completed training courses in all mandatory subjects in the past and will continue attending all Healthcare Management Solutions own courses.


Josi has achieved Champions in Dementia through the Alzheimer’s Society and is a trained trainer for Dementia care. Josi has 20 years of experience in care and he has been the manager of Mundy House since 2014.
