The staff at Mundy House have always cared very well for my mother-in-law. She goes in regularly for respite care when my husband and I visit members of the family and when we go on holiday. She is always very happy to return.

My sister and I regularly visit our mother in Mundy House Care Centre. Daily one of us is here. We are extremely happy with the care being provided and cannot fault anything. Catering and housekeeping is above what we expected. Everything is kept lovely and clean but above all, it's the friendliness
and kindness of the staff that makes this such a happy place. They are all fantastic!

I visit a resident several times a week. The staff are friendly, helpful and very kind to residents in sometimes awkward circumstances. Mundy House is very clean and in good condition. The management is available to answer any queries if needed. After over 2 years of visiting Mundy House Care Centre,
I find visitors are always welcome and you can go anywhere and find the residents clean and well cared for.

I would like to thank the deputy manager for her help when I was being interviewed by social workers regarding my mum. It has been a stressful time for me and my sister but the deputy manager was amazing. I would also like to thank the manager and her amazing team, they are a credit to your company
and I know my mum is in good hands.

I visited my aunt on 3/1/2018. The home has recently been decorated and it was nice on entering the home. There was a sing-along whilst I was there and the atmosphere was lovely. All the staff were joining in (although still keeping a close eye on the residents) and doing their best to include them
individually by encouraging them to join in as best as they could. It was a pleasant afternoon.

From the first time of visiting Mundy House, you can feel the warmth, affection and caring attitude of the care team towards its residents and it has lived up to our first impression after six months stay by mum.

Mum has settled in really well, beyond our expectations. Well done team Mundy.

My Uncle was 91 when he moved into Mundy House. His health was already deteriorating and he passed away after 4 months. The care, attention and empathy shown by the staff of Mundy House ensured his last days were as comfortable and as dignified as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the
care given was always accompanied with a smile and a cheery disposition. Many thanks to the management and staff.

Mum has only been in Munday House a couple of months. I have found all the staff to be very friendly, helpful and dealt with any problems very promptly. They have also arranged for transport to the hospital and any doctor's visits. Management also arranged for Mum to have a recliner so she is more comfortable.
Catering staff are very good with foods that Mum may like. Cleaning staff have found missing laundry. Mum is only able to feed herself so all the staff are always ready to assist Mum when she needs it. Mum has fallen out of bed (she did at home) so she has now been given a bed with sides. Grounds are nice too.

We are so grateful to everyone at Mundy House for providing a safe and caring environment for our Nanna. The staff are great and have made her feel comfortable and settled and I can't praise them enough. They treat her with dignity and compassion and we couldn't ask for more. The home overall is well
run, clean, and welcoming and we as a family feel lucky she is there.

The staff at Mundy House are so caring and understanding. Does not matter when I turn up, they know where my mum is and how she is.
Very comforting as we are still in the settling in stage. But after three weeks we finally seem to be there. My mum is happy and gets lots of cuddles.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.939)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.939) out of 10 for Mundy House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 63 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 63 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.939 for Mundy House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (712 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 750 Ratings = 4.939
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mundy House Care Home is based on 63 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 63 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
