View full details of Mundy House Care HomeOur Dad has been living at Mundy House since April 2024, his health and quality of life has been greatly improved since moving there . The care team make our dad feel safe, secure and cared for, when we visit him we can spend quality time with him without the worry we had when trying to look after him at home. There is always something going on for Dad to join in, quite often he's playing bingo when I call in to see him, he also enjoys the crafting activities. With the care and support Dad receives from everyone at Mundy House it's given him a comfortable and happy next stage of his life.
When I visit its usually over a few days, which means I have the privilege of seeing the staff and my mum at many different times of the day. I always find the staff to be in good spirit, kind to everyone, dedicated, and also good fun! I give them 100/100 for their amazing service!
My mum is not really aware of her surroundings but is more settled and calm and treated so much better at Mundy house than her previous accommodation. I wish I had moved her to Mundy house years ago. Every single member of staff is always happy and caring. No-one moans or complains about their workload or what they are expected to do. My mum is treated with great care and with respect and dignity. What more could I ask for? Thank you Jose and the whole team.
The staff really understand the needs of their residents. When my uncle joined my auntie ( a long term resident) at the home, it was a well managed transition taking into account the well-being of both people. I always feel welcome visiting the home. There is always a cup of tea and warm smile from the staff and my relatives are happy and comfortable
My mum unexpectedly fractured her ankle while visiting relatives in Essex. Once surgery was completed she was moved to Mundy Care Home so she could be looked after while she required hospital check ups. All staff were warm, welcoming and supportive. My mother is both gluten and dairy free, the kitchen staff went out of their way to ensure she could have meals suitable for her.
Since mum and dad moved into Mundy House very suddenly and unexpectedly in May 2024, they have been provided excellent care. Unfortunately we lost mum very quickly to Dementia and related conditions in the August of 2024 and all the staff were incredibly caring and supportive of dad and us as a family. Dad is physically incapacitated but of good mind. The transition of having to leave their home due to him no longer being able to care for mum was very difficult and the subsequent loss of mum even more so. Testament to the environment Mundy House provides is that dad now feels like this is his new home and we too are grateful as a family that his health and wellbeing is much improved under their care than when he was struggling at home. Josi and his team are always ready to assist with any queries we have and proactively monitor his changing needs. The fact the staff, residents and families are so happy speaks volumes.
Our mum has been in Mundy House for around 8 years. Now bed bound but the level of care is still the same today as when she first went in. The manager, deputy manager and all staff are truly remarkable, kind, caring and always take time to keep you updated on mums wellbeing. We can't thank them all enough for looking after mum so well.
It always smells fresh and clean and tidy. Staff from cleaner to management all make you welcome feel part of it. My mum is very happy here. If you have any complaints its dealt with straight away, so no complaints. They try to encourage everyone in the activities to the best of the resident's ability. Staff are all very caring people from my opinion. It feels like a family atmosphere very nice for my mum.
My Dad came into the care home last month, and with the care and excellent support he has been given he has settled in well. The staff are amazing, friendly and always have a smile. The Manager has gone above and beyond to make sure any stress my dad went into the home with is now a distant memory, and that's just in one month. I had only four days to find a home for Dad before he was discharged from hospital, Mundy house was the only home that lived up to my expectations of the perfect home for him. It makes a big difference when all the residents are very welcoming too.
Grandad has settled in well at Mundy House since moving in last month. The manager and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure he is comfortable, and we cannot fault the level of care at the home. The home is always spotless, and Grandad has a lovely, spacious room which is always clean and tidy. He enjoys the regular entertainment organised for residents. It is clear to see the dedication and passion that goes into the home and the care for all residents. As a family, we are so pleased that we found Mundy House.
Brilliant home. Always friendly and happy to see visitors. Our friend is very well looked after. Sadly now bed dependent, always fed, cleaned and room kept clean. Lots of activities in Mundy House for all who wish to join. Needs are all attended so happily. Only demerit mark is for value for money but realise all care homes are expensive.
Dad has been a resident at Mundy House for a couple of months now. The manager and assistant manager are excellent, both came to see Dad at his home with a view to respite care, and when his circumstances changed, also visited him in rehabilitation care with a view to a permanent care place. The management and staff have listened to the family's requests for Dad's needs and everything has been done to make Dad as comfortable as possible, including an appointment with a local visiting dentist. The lovely laundry lady has even sewn name labels in Dad's clothes. We are made welcome whenever we visit, with warm smiles from the friendly staff, and the managers office door is always open making it very easy to have a chat. I love the weekly update emails with news about the home in general and a comment specifically about how Dad has been. The family can now relax knowing Dad has 24/7 care in a safe and caring environment.
I visited my sister today, 21/10/25 and found all the staff to be very courteous and friendly. My sister is very happy and content at Mundy House.
Been coming over from Spain this year to see my mum, and the care and support is 100%. My mum also seems very happy and well looked after. With a big thank you to everyone at Mundy House. My mum looks very peaceful thank you.
My Mum needed 24-hour dementia care when my Dad passed away in January, so my sister and I looked around at about 6 care homes in the area. Mundy House was the last care home we visited, and, as soon as we walked in the atmosphere was so much different to the others. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, including the 'House' services (laundry and cleaning) staff. Our family regularly visited, at irregular times, but at all times Mum was happy and content. They catered for her food choices perfectly, ensuring that she had her favourites (ice cream). My Mother-in-Law has been receiving care at a different facility for 15 years, but after 4 months with experience at Mundy House, we moved Mother-in-Law to Mundy House. Mum has now passed away, but her final few days were made peaceful and gentle by the staff at Mundy House.
My mother moved to Mundy House in early August 2025 from a home in Bexhill-on-Sea. I have deliberately left off the prefix, care, as there was not a lot of it going on. Anyway, for the first first few days mum found it difficult to settle in but with the patience, understanding and proper care she has received from top to bottom of the staff there she is now a brighter and much happier person. I have seen the change in her with every visit and it is heartwarming. For my own part, I always feel welcome and am greeted by all staff and residents alike. Mum is quite shy about meeting new people partly due to he spinal curvature so she has not joined in with the multitude of activities happening everyday at the home. I feel that she might do in the future but again there has been no pressure on her to do so, from anyone. Once again showing understanding and letting her find her feet in her own time. In conclusion, thankyou Josi and all of your great staff for what you have done for her.
We are very pleased with every aspect of this home. Mum is safe and extremely well looked after. Staff are helpful and full of enthusiasm. The home is always welcoming and clean. We would recommend Mundy House to anybody who has a dependent who needs extra care.
My uncle came in for respite care. All of the staff were very welcoming and made my uncle very welcome. My uncle said the nurses understood his sense of humour and he had a great laugh with them. Fantastic staff and management and very clean and welcoming would recommend.
It is always such a lovely experience coming into Mundy House to visit. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming and I know this translates to all of the residents aswell. It has such a warm atmosphere where the residents are enjoying themselves and getting a great quality of care. The facilities are great and the food always looks appetising. I couldn't wish for a better place to visit someone in.
Whenever we visit we are always made to feel welcome and offered hospitality (tea and biscuits.) Our mum has been a resident since February 2023 and we have never had anything but positive things to say about how she is cared for and looked after. We know this is not just when we are there but behind the scenes as well. There are lots of things for the residents to get involved with and stimulated throughout the day.
