View Full Details of Westcott House Nursing HomeWestcott House nursing home is a very special place. I feel everyone works towards the same aim, the care and respect of each resident. Nothing is too much trouble. Friends and family are treated as part of the Westcott family, always addressed by name and made to feel very welcome. I have great admiration for the staff, caring is a job that needs dedication and a love for humanity.
The staff are all extremely kind and hard working, and it feels very reassuring for my dad to be in their care. The home is a huge improvement since the new management took over.
The staff and management have shown pure compassion and determination in providing my father with the care and support that her needs.
I write few words, sum up - excellent!
Mum has been a resident of Westcott House for just over 7 months now. The staff are lovely; many of whom have worked there for a very long time and there is always a happy smile and a warm welcome. Since Mum has been there, she has put on some weight when we were struggling to get her to eat properly previously so she is extremely healthy and content now. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents engaged and interested and often when I visit, I get involved too which I really enjoy. This home is run very well and you never get the impression that staff don't want to be there but they are passionate about their roles looking after our relatives. I feel confident that Mum is receiving the very best care.
My Mother in Law has been at Westcott House for just over 12 months. I always find her to be well cared for and treated with dignity and respect, even though she can be difficult at time. The staff are always cheerful and willing to assist in any way possible. The Home has been refurbished and it feels like home. Mum likes the food and particularly the cakes.
